We need seven men/women/talking cats/intern porgs with a translator to join us for the summer to deliver us the linkdrops from the previous day! Bonus points are given for style, substance, and starting weird fake wars with imaginary wildlife.

Please sign up below either as a regular broadcaster or a backup (and let me know if you can continue with the trend of self-squirreling)! If you are a returning radio person, let me know if your current day works or if you'd prefer a new one. The new schedule will begin this coming Sunday, May 11th!

In order to not completely flood the flist: if you haven't signed up for classes yet, make sure you go OVER HERE before tomorrow (Thursday) night!

Now, it's also the time of year where we look for seven people (or pairs, or robots, etc.) to broadcast the news of the island for the semester! If you are able to grab your own links as you broadcast, that makes us love you even more, but we are also looking for squirrels to do that--it's really not a lot of work these days because we're all sucked into real lives.

We're also looking for pinch-hitters who would be open for maybe a few broadcasts over the year as people go on vacations, visit parts of the country/world without internet (THE HORRORS), etc.

Please, please, please think about helping us out, and then sign up below as a broadcaster, a squirrel, or both! You have until this Sunday, December 31st to sign up. (Apologies for the shortness, the holidays have their own weird time zone.)

If you are able to grab your own links as you broadcast, that makes us love you even more, but we are also looking for squirrels to do that--it's really not a lot of work these days because we're all sucked into real lives, especially in the summer.

We're also looking for pinch-hitters who would be open for maybe a few broadcasts over the summer as people go on vacations, drop off the internet to give birth to another human (*cough* me *cough*), visit parts of the country/world without internet (THE HORRORS), etc.

Please, please, please think about helping us out, and then sign up below as a broadcaster, a squirrel, or both! You have until next Sunday, May 7th to make me do a frankly embarrassing happy dance at my parents' house by signing up.

I promised we'd try this again for spring, and here we are!

Beginning Monday, January 2, anyone who's interested gets a chance to ICly read the day's news to the rest of the game. In the off chance that we get more than seven, we'll do an audition week and let the players vote on who stays.

You can also sign up here to be a radio squirrel, which is what killed this last time. We need help in gathering the day's links for the broadcaster to... broadcast, and so if you'd like to be squirrelly, this would be the place. Keep in mind that I do work with people if they can only drop links at certain times or can't do certain days, and some things may have to get restructured some depending on how many people sign up.

We always need participation to keep going. The more people sign up, the less work for everyone there is to do, and right now I'm not in a position where I can pick up the slack as much as I used to. So seriously, if you want radio to continue, helping out is the way to make sure it happens.

These'll be open till about 5 pm CST on Sunday, January 1.

Time again for the most nervewracking time of my semester: the call for broadcasters!

Beginning Sunday, August 28, anyone who's interested gets their shot at an audition broadcast (meaning that they’ll do a recap for everyone to read that goes up sometime before noon Eastern time the next day (So the Tuesday broadcast covers Monday's news)). You're also free to sign up if you want to do radio just once. If in the increasingly rare case of more broadcasters than days in the week, we'll put it to a vote and let the players decide. If you're currently a broadcaster or recapper, your shift continues until the new schedule/tryouts start.

You can also sign up here to be a radio squirrel! We need help in gathering the day's links for the broadcaster to... broadcast, and so if you'd like to be squirrelly, this would be the place. As a reminder, we always need squirrels so people don't tire out recapping everything, and without them, radio doesn't work, so if that feels like something you might want to be a part of, please sign up!

WE REALLY ALWAYS NEED SIGNUPS.

We always need participation to keep going. The more people sign up, the less work for everyone there is to do, and right now I'm not in a position where I can pick up the slack as much as I used to. So if you can help at all, you will have my undying gratitude.

These'll be open till about 5 pm CST on Saturday, August 27.

Hello, all! Before the newbies get in, let me push y'all towards the radio signups which are open till tomorrow. We could especially use a couple more broadcasters and I would love to take my first semester break in three years, omg.

...I feel like there should be more there, but it's 8:30 am and I have only minimal understanding of what day it is. Please don't ask too much of me when I can't communicate via emoji.

ETA: You guys are terrific and I love you. We have enough broadcasters now for regular slots, though if people still really want to sign up I'm not gonna stop you. :) There's also one shot broadcasts and squirreling slots if anyone wants them!

We're always looking for new talent, so if you've got an on-island character who would like to be the weekly voice of the radio for the fall (or someone who wouldn't like it but you want to force them into it anyway), this would be the place to sign up. You can also sign up to be a radio squirrel and recap the day's news, something that's pretty desperately needed. As in, if we don't get more people signing up to recap than we have been, radio's going to go on hiatus for the summer and hopefully come back in the fall. And I'd really rather not have to put up the post that says that. :)

We now return you to graduation weekend festivities!

We're always looking for new talent, so if you've got a character who would like to be the weekly voice of the radio for the spring semester (or someone who wouldn't like it but you want to force them into it anyway), this would be the place to sign up. Teachers, townies, students, all are welcome!

Beginning Sunday, January 1, anyone who's interested gets their shot at an audition broadcast (meaning that they’ll do a recap for everyone to read that goes up sometime before noon Eastern time the next day (So the Tuesday broadcast covers Monday's news)). You're also free to sign up if you want to do radio just once. And then if you haven't run screaming, we put up a poll at the end of tryouts and from there we get the seven broadcasters for the semester.

You can also sign up here to be a radio squirrel! We always need help in gathering the day's links for the broadcaster to... broadcast, and so if you'd like to be squirrelly, this would be the place.

The time of year when we look for radio talent! And we’re looking for a few good men/women/other to become the island's voice for the summer.

Students, teachers, townies, newcomers, old hands—everyone is welcome to try out!

Beginning Tuesday, August 29th (the first full week with all the newbies), everyone who’s interested—new talent and old talent—will have an on-air audition (meaning that they’ll do a recap for everyone to read that goes up sometime before noon Eastern time the next day (So the Tuesday broadcast covers Monday's news)). It’ll also give them an idea of how much time the coding will take and give them a final chance to flee from the chaos).

We’ll then put up a poll and you’ll all get to vote for the seven people/things who will be bringing the news to Fandom for the Fall!

This is also your chance to do a one-off: if you've always wanted to do radio for just one night, here's the place to volunteer for it! You can also sign up here to volunteer to become an honorary squirrel, one of our intrepid research staffers. After the tryouts are completed you can also decide if you want to stay or run screaming into the distance ala a Warner Brothers cartoon.

If you're interested, please drop a comment in this post.

Thanks!

Beginning Monday, January 3 (the first full week with all the newbies), everyone who’s interested—new talent and old talent—will have an on-air audition (meaning that they’ll do a recap for everyone to read that goes up between 11 and 1 o'clock Eastern Time. A slightly bleary sounding Captain Jack Sparrow came over the radio waves at what he viewed to be a completely indecent time of morning (that is, one with only one number in the time. He didn't like to be moving before, say, eleven):

"Congratulations to the following broadcasters:

Chuck Bass & Dan Humphrey
Dimitri Belikov & Adrian Ivashkov
Lacey Burrows
Drake Démon
Rose Hathaway
Hawkeye Pierce
Sam & Dean Winchester.

Please stop by the radio station this week with the normal tribute of rum and pie."

[OOC: Yay. congratulations! The voting was suuuuuper close this go-around.]

Taking a moment to come up for breath from the newbie picnic to remind you all that the sign-up for helping out on the radio is still open, and we especially need folks to help link drop. The more people we have, the less often you have to do them!

*looks adorable*

Please? Pretty please?
