ooc: radio signups!

I keep thinking I have another week to do this! I don't! Anyway, hello, upcoming new semester! That means it's time for another call for radio help. We're always looking for new talent, so if you've got a character who would like to be the weekly voice of the radio for the fall (or someone who wouldn't like it but you want to force them into it anyway), this would be the place to sign up. Teachers, townies and students are welcome!

Beginning Sunday, May 4, anyone who's interested gets their shot at an audition broadcast (meaning that they’ll do a recap for everyone to read that goes up sometime before noon Eastern time the next day (So the Tuesday broadcast covers Monday's news)). You're also free to sign up if you want to do radio just once. And then if you haven't run screaming, we put up a poll at the end of tryouts and from there we get the seven broadcasters for the semester if it's necessary. If you're currently a broadcaster, your shift continues until tryouts start.

You can also sign up here to be a radio squirrel! We need help in gathering the day's links for the broadcaster to... broadcast, and so if you'd like to be squirrelly, this would be the place. If you'd like to help but aren't sure what you'd be getting into, there's an unlocked tutorial here so you can see what actual links look like. As a reminder, we always need squirrels so people don't tire out recapping everything, and without them, radio doesn't work, so if that feels like something you might want to be a part of, please sign up!

These'll be open till say noon PST on Saturday the 3rd.

I can squirrel this semester! With the caveat that outside of June, I'll only be able to do links for folks who post their radio in the morning due to timezoneiness.

I'm going to be gone for a few weeks at a time over the summer, so I can't commit to a full shift this time around. Still, put me down as a back-up squirrel!

Sure! Links should be in between 6:30 pm PST (9:30 Eastern) and 8 pm PST (11:00 Eastern), unless the recapper says they're posting in the morning, and then they're due in anytime that night. We're also still on a M/W/F, T/Th/Sun, every other Sunday schedule.
