I'd say good morning but I think I'd rather the maze thing and the zombies over what the island's doing this week.

This is Brooke, filling in for that usual girl who's doing something. I don't care.

At school, Cutthroat Games played Duck, duck, goose, Adaptability tried to play beach volleyball but Sabine and Nina were both animals which probably makes putting teams together hard, and Grocery Run class went to Morocco. You know what I bet they have in Morocco? Sex.

In the dorms, I'd say Wayne's breakfast thing was quiet but that's probably because people are turning into animals, like Nina, who turned into some snake thing and needing Vette's help and then went to hang out anyway.

In town, Rosa was at the trooper station, trusting nothing. Good. You shouldn't. Kanan went to check on Jack and Kaidan, and Shunsui got into town and took a nap in the park, like, good for him. Just napping all over like he owns the place. He also got to introduce himself to Octavia and then introduce her to sake, Seivarden brought her cat and learned some things about Japan, and by the time Peter got there, Shunsui was wondering when the park got so busy.

That's the notes. Enjoy your terrible week.

[This is the worst week to be afk when you have this girl in your arsenal.]

Morning, everybody. This is Brooke with the morning news from the pre-summer break, which means there aren't a ton of notes and everything's in town.

First up, Beau was trying to drown out the quiet at the gym with music, and Astrid waited out her portal at the Perk, talking to Sabine before leaving. And then Iris went there after getting back and texted with Zack. At Turtle and Canary, Summer was preparing for the new semester by discounting Easter stuff, and at the trooper station, Rosa was just trying to ignore Ralph.

Sorry you had to hear it like that, Ralph.

That's all your Monday news, I'm sure it'll be way more next week.

Well, good morning, everybody. This is Brooke Davis, and I get the yearly sad notes this time. Because every year. I didn't even have kids this time around and I'm depressed.

Does it work if we just go backwards? We're going to go backwards today. We're not ending with the portal today.

So at the portal, Seivarden said goodbye to Etnys and gave her a lesson in knife safety, Hernando and Sparkle said goodbye to Quinn and Abney, who wanted to come back, Ezra and Ada said goodbye to Ella, Envy started off glaring at the portal, Steve and Tony got some last-minute feelings from Tesla, and Fjord noted that that was a portal, yep.

Maybe other things happened. I'm going to end that part on that note.

Elsewhere in town, before everything was terrible, Amaya got to stop her kids from dueling in the park, where Fenris brought his knife-throwing daughter to throw knives, why are all these kids handling weapons, oh my god, and Keyleth had to stop Lin from throwing daggers at a person, I've never been so glad to not go outdoors. Summer was threatening to give unattended kids candy at the store, which I'm surprised didn't lead to her getting invaded by the sorts of kids who wander unattended through portals, and Kanan and Jacen were having awkward coffee time at the Perk before Sabine got to ask questions and find out she's got some role in there, and Jack told Jacen some stories and played family therapist.

At the Arms, Hyacinthe and Ada listened to Zia tell a story, and at home, Hardison set up a video link so his kids could talk to Kathy. Ada- not the one who went to school here- as trying to wheedle Eliot about presents and would not be conned by Spike, who also caught up on Kathy's current goings-on with Hardison, and Hardison and Eliot got to talk about real kids. Speaking of Kathy, she decided to spoil kids at Fast Eddie's, so she probably got a lot of fans. Dante checked in with her, Ella told Ezra about getting kicked out of here once, Eliot came to play grandpa, and Parker taught the little Ada how to play pool. Carys took Ella up on an invitation to play a game, and Spike was apparently ordering all the root beer floats. He probably got some fans, too.

Movie class got a nautical movie today, now with more children in the audience, and Amaya immediately dumped Kia on Fjord since he left her alone with her this whole time. Zephyr and Djodge- tell my I'm pronouncing that wrong- talked to Fjord about throwing a shru- shir- a thing into a tree, and Kia figured out Djodge is her half-brother you people are all fired. Peter checked in with Amaya, who was jealous he was left off this one, and Fjord and Peter wondered if this movie was even appropriate for kids. No better way to find out than halfway through when everybody's crying.

In the dorms, Prompto was entertaining Lulu and Lucy and got a visit from Nina who came bearing food, and then there was just a lot of... stuff going on there.

And finally, at school, Adulting finished out the class with a party, where Kitty checked up on Lexi and both of them got surprised by Tesla having Lexi's face. Hubris class had a discussion about using religion to your advantage, Civic thingie did their presentations, and Tip had a mostly normal day at the library.

There. I think that worked, right? I hope that worked.

Good morning, Fandom! Everyone who they're supposed to be today? Because it sounds like that was an issue the last few days. There aren't a ton of notes, so it looks like people mostly stayed indoors, where it was less embarrassing.

Not much at school, where Civil stuff was canceled on account of April Fool's, and Adulting and Hubris gave up and had movie days. And in the guidance counselor's office, Six was having some computer issues.

In the dorms, Paris took up a common room making bad life choices in regards to both his ears and digestive system, and in town, Mumen Rider was still mumem riding along, including thanking the lion for not eating anyone. That'd probably be award when everyone woke up today. Stephanie found the parkour course at the gym, and Movie class still happened, and there Sonia talked to a giant red echidna about a movie called Action Doctor. I don't know what an echidna is. I'm not even sure I'm pronouncing it right. Finally, Bucky was back in town and hanging in the park, where he was awkward at Tony and got to meet movie star Lucas Lee. Wonder if he got an autograph.

That's all I've got for now. Have fun with today.

Morning! This is Brooke with a surprisingly small stack of notes for a Monday. Let's see how fast we can get out of here, then. Just for funsies.

School had Adulting doing taxes, and Civic-il class played with gadgets.

Then in town, Beau found a random waffle bar at the gym, and Seivarden came in to work out despite the waffles, and found out Beau got her a mystery sword. Jack went to talk to Hernando about taking Sparkle out, and Nell was reading during downtime at the flower shop.

And apparently movie class was the place to be, where they watched a dragon movie and chatted. Fenris and Fjord talked about what Amaya-who-be-a-bunny would eat, and I swear the squirrels wrote it that way for some reason, and Seivarden was confused about the movie, which somehow led to her and Fjord arguing over what rabbits can eat. Seivarden also asked Fenris about dragons, while Beau wanted to know why dragons always went after virgin girls. Because the patriarchy, Beau.

Those are all the notes! Do more things today.

Good morning, Fandom! This is Brooke, here with yesterday's news, and one day closer to winter being over. Seriously. I'm over it. No more.

So! At school, Acting was canceled again, Adulting learned car repair, Hubris class learned about Hinduism, and Civil whatever took a field trip to the trooper station, where Astrid told Mae about her previous time in the clink, and Rosa probably watched with popcorn. And over in the library, Tip was running around picking up phone calls. It wasn't one of those days when the phones go nuts, right?

Why are the squirrels handing me a note saying "ask your friends"?

Anyway, the dorms were quiet and town wasn't much better. Beau was both working and working out hungover. Respect. Summer was at Turtle and Canary where they were seeing the aftermath of a very green holiday, Nell was doing some gardening at the flower shop, and Movie class was maybe still stuck on the holiday.

That's it. Like I said, quiet. Which is fine by me because then I can get coffee before class. Talk at you next week!
gobrookeyourself: (from the side)
[personal profile] gobrookeyourself
Morning, denizens of Fandom! Are you ready to hear about Monday's news? Good, because I've got a pile of notes and the squirrels don't let me leave until I read them!

Over at school, Acting class was cacnceled since they had their show last week, Adulting got some driver's ed, Hubris class learned about Shinto and made talismans, and Civics got fake IDs. ...Is it me? Do I just not know what civics is? Also Astrid checked in with Mae, and Fjord came in for an ID. Also, in the library, Tip's not a mongoose anymore! Hopefully someone had emergency clothes in there.

The dorms were quiet, and in town, Beau found the empty spaces in the weight racks at the gym were replaced by bagels, which she and Kitty were kind of focused on. For some strange reason. Amaya and Fjord met in the park for some weapons-throwing, Rosa caught up on radio at the station, and Summer had to deal with Apu celebrating National Workdplace Napping Day. Is that a real thing? I don't think that's a real thing. Finally, Movie class watched that one with the fighting and the Keanu that was really popular like twenty years ago.

Right, so that's what I've got. Till next week, hi, future Rosa.
gobrookeyourself: (yay from me)
[personal profile] gobrookeyourself
Good morning! This is Brooke Davis, a year older and more fabulous. Let's hear what else happened yesterday, hm?

At school, Acting prepared for their standup routines at Caritas on Wednesday. So I guess if you're not busy that night, that's a thing you can check out. Adulting learned about budgeting, Hubris class learned about Buddhism, and Civil Disobedience learned about restraints, and there are so many comments I won't make about that being a high school class.

In town, Beau was less surly at the gym. Huh. Rosa dealt with shoe showers at the trooper station, and at Turtle and Canary, Summer was sporting a new look, and Kanan was bored enough to come in and talk about hair and bringing cats to space. Movie class watched a classic, Liam and Verity had a night in at home after I guess some bad stuff, and Mike and I celebrated my birthday.

And that's all that happened yesterday that the squirrels felt the need to document. See you next week, Fandom.
gobrookeyourself: (totally interested)
[personal profile] gobrookeyourself
Good morning, Fandom, and welcome back to a normal Tuesday at home. Which is way more boring than vacation. Less traveling, though, so I'm okay.

Classes are back in session, so Acting learned about comedy and got told that they'll have to come up with and perform standup routines, while Adulting put together IKEA furniture. Hubris class learned about Abrahamic religions, and Civil Disobedience class packed go bags. Unclear what kind of disobedience they're getting into.

Not much in the dorms except Sabine and her new hair doing art stuff. In town, Beau didn't trust a normal day at the gym- nor should she, because at the trooper station Rosa got a catchup of the last week performed for her while Summer had to put things back in their rightful places at Turtle and Canary. And Movie class watched a movie set in the desert to counteract all the Iceland.

That's all I've got. I assume people are sleeping off the time difference. Wake up for next week!
gobrookeyourself: (smile)
[personal profile] gobrookeyourself
Good... morning, I guess, Fandom time! This is Brooke Davis, coming at you from beautiful and freezing Iceland! The squirrels are still stalking us here, and they have radio equipment! I really should have been prepared for this, I'm not new.

There are a few people still in Fandom. Liam stopped by to say hi to Beau at the gym, and Movie class still had Peter and Seivarden there. We will come back, I swear. It's cold.

Then over in Iceland, In the morning, Rosa and Amaya had a conversation about an axe? When it was time to go we all got assigned to minibuses, which is an experience. Hannibal and Jono talked about their assignment, and Beaker didn't explode. Jack was worried about the assignments and got reassurance from Jono, Kitty, and Kaidan, Kat and Paris apparently jinxed themselves, Prompto and Sidon made with the high fives, and Kanan and Hera talked about their prior bus driving experience.

We drove through Thi... Thingie National Park and apparently we have a lot of artsy people who used the photo stop to take pictures or draw. Hannibal asked Sabine for her pictures, Steve liked Astrid's spot so they sketched together, and Prompto was getting group pictures. Then it was back on the bus, where Lana was surprised Norman wasn't into the scenery, and she caught up with Jack and Nell. Then it was a stop at Gullfoss Waterfall, where people gaped and Vette and Sidon flirted over keeping him warm.

Then it was back on the bus again, yes there was a lot of driving, get over it, listeners. Prompto talked Paris through knitting, and Breq got Vette singing. Then it was to Geysir Geothermal Area, where I think Jack told Kaidan they're going to a hot spring because he wouldn't let her burn herself. Don't do that, kids. There. I was a good chaperone. Then we stopped at waterfalls I can't pronounce- no one went chasing them- and then we got to the hotel for the evening, which is tents. We slept in tents. Jaina's Hot Gramps and I hit up the bar to stay warm, where most people froze their asses off looking at the Northern Lights. Sabine and Keyleth talked about the trip so far and whether knowing about the place first helped, and Kanan was having a moment so Hera and Lana checked up, and Jack just made him go in the pool.

And that's it for day one! It's going to be disappointing to do real radio next week, but that's next week's problem.

Good morning, Fandom! This is Brooke, back from New York, and ready to see whatever you guys got up to yesterday.

At school, Acting practiced conveying emotion with one line, Adulting did some cooking, and Civics was canceled. Easy day for you guys for once!

In the dorms, Astrid ditched class and hung out at the pool with Mae over talk of singing revenge fish. And in town, a bunch of people woke up. Ohhh, I missed that kind of weekend. Sparkle and Hernando started out with cuddling, while Kanan was doing a lot of wall-staring. He got checkup texts from Kaidan, Summer, and Jack, and it's creepy that you furry little guys were keeping track. Meanwhile Hera settled for teasing him about his haircut. Hannibal asked what to make Jono for a breakfast that he could apparently have, and over at the gym, Beau had things set up so people could beat on things if they wanted. Summer arrived at Turtle and Canary through a portal, and at the trooper station, Rosa was a badass. The squirrels say so. And finally, Movie class capitalized on the amnesia thing with a theme movie.

...Ohhhhhh that's what kind of weekend it was. Glad you all know who you are then!

[personal profile] gobrookeyourself
Good morning, everybody! As always, this is Brooke, here with yesterday's gossip. Not that there's ever a ton of good gossip. But one day. I swear, one day, there's going to be something really juicy.

But until then, let's talk about school. Acting got a movie day and Adulting was canceled, but Hubris talked about whatever polytheism is, and Civil Disobedience talked about how to handle the cops. You know. Light and fluffy stuff.

And then over in town, Beau was hungover for her shift at the gym, but hey, at least she went! Rosa came back from a trip to find out the troopers had been rodents over the weekend, and I can't imagine why they wouldn't want that known, and Summer themed the Squishies to taunt Apu. At the foundry, Amaya made a new sign to advertise, Nell was in a good mood at the flower shop, Movie class had a puppet film, and Steve came home from a trip to find Tony working. No judgment.

That's all from me. Have a great week, let's not turn into rodents this time.

[personal profile] gobrookeyourself
Good morning, friends! This is Brooke here on a brisk winter morning, and as a reminder you can always come in to Clothes Over Bros for all your cozy warm needs! I will post someday I swear.

So. News. At school, Acting was taught by "Betsy Ross," and students got to act out being historical figures. Adulting went grocery shopping, Hubris talked about whatever divination is, and Civil Disobedience went over things they can protest. Over in the library, Tip was watching the books act out a book murder. I'd say that's dark for a Monday, but that's Monday for you.

Hey, the dorms did stuff! They had a tarot party, which is a new one. Was there at least booze?

*chittering*

Okay I have no idea what you said but I know it was judgey. There was a tone. Norman and Sabine decided the other is worthy of inviting to their parties, and Norman also caught up with Keyleth, who was at her first high school party. Prompto and Sabine caught up about how he's taking care of a dog now, Trevor and Keyleth ended up in a religious discussion. Which is supposed to be a social no-no, but it's 2019 here and who cares at this point. Sabine got to tell Trevor about how people were tiny the other weekend, and she and Keyleth worried whether the food service workers on the island were all right. Sabine checked in with Mae, who talked herself into throwing a campout for s'mores, and Mae and Trevor argued over who's a poser before deciding to try and steal food. I mean, they'd probably just put leftovers in the common room. Norman marveled at Tip that he had more party experience than many of the people there, and Vette glomped Sidon, which the squirrels called adorable. Vette also caught up with Mae and told her how she doesn't actually swim, even if she's dating a fishperson. Look. Sometimes couples just have different interests, it's fine. Astrid found Jughead hanging out, and then she did her tarot readings for Norman, Trevor, Mae, Lana and Tip.

And in town, if you were looking to get that bread today, you should've visited Beau at the gym, because there was a lot of it! Shut up, that was hilarious and topical. Dante was at the Perk for a drink he can't get at home and got to catch up with Peebee, and Rosa was dealing with the reorganization of the desks at the trooper station. Summer and Apu were dealing with a situation, Movie class watched something with puppets, and Karolina was celebrating her birthday before Beau came over. Aww, happy birthday! Everyone be nice to Karolina.

That's all I've got. Till next week, look out for rogue squishies.
gobrookeyourself: (at the mike)
[personal profile] gobrookeyourself
Good morning, you possibly formerly short people! This is Brooke Davis, here with the news of everyone being normal again. As normal as we ever get here, anyway.

At school, Acting had a movie day to honor Martin Luther King, Jr., Adulting went apartment shopping, and Civil Disobedience went on a field trip to learn more about slavery in the area.

For much lighter news, we move to town!
Tiny Brooke waited for her hot grandpa to talk about the weekend at the Perk, whereas Rosa got filled in at the trooper station and Summer got judged for not making Jello while she was tiny. Beau was having a normal, heighted day at the gym, where she got a visit from Kaidan. Movie class didn't let anyone escape from the tiny thing, and Peter blamed Amaya for jinxing them. You heard him, blame her. And at the Devil's Nest, Verity and Tiny played Chopped. At the bar. Oh god, that sounds like something I would have thought was a good idea in high school when I was already drunk.

That's what I've got. I'm going to assume everyone was quiet because it's exhausting being bigger. Or something. I wouldn't know, I stayed normal. Have a nice day!
gobrookeyourself: (just hanging)
[personal profile] gobrookeyourself
Good morning, everyone! This is Brooke with your news for the day. There wasn't a ton, you only get to hear me speak for so long today.

At school, Acting fished for ideas and talked about personal brands, Adulting did job interviews, Hubris talked about the politics behind religion, and Civil Disobedience talked about standing up against bigoted comments. If you have classes throughout the day on Monday, you are going for a ride, aren't you? And in the library, Tip was looking at snow videos.

Nothing in the dorms, so in town, Beau was taking out frustrations in the gym, Rosa brought her dog into the station to chew on Ralph, and Summer found a donkey at Turtle and Canary. There is no explanation why.

*chittering*

Still can't understand you. Sabine was eavesdropping on Perk gossip, Nell was working on a side project at the flower shop, and Movie class went straight for British humor today. Yesterday. Whatever.

Those are my notes, see you next week!
gobrookeyourself: (so...)
[personal profile] gobrookeyourself
Good morning, everybody! This is Brooke Davis here, definitely not hungover today, and I probably shouldn't say stuff like that before going to teach a class, right? Right.

Speaking of classes, Acting tried their hand at improv, Adulting did some job hunting, Hubris from Revelation- wait do I have to say that every week? I'm not saying that every week. That class tried to define religion, and Civics got a history lecture. Have I mentioned lately I'm glad I'm out of high school?

Nothing in the dorms today, but in town, Beau was dealing with popcorn raining down at the gym, Rosa was dealing with troopers who had suspicions about Caritas, and Summer had a quiet day at T&C. And at the flower shop, Nell was singing with a Tickles on her shoulder. I don't know what a Tickles is. And Adults Watch Movies had, uh, a religious flick? that had Fenris and Amaya questioning everything.

That's all I've got. Later!
gobrookeyourself: (morning after)
[personal profile] gobrookeyourself
Oh, god, why do we even have radio on New Year's Day? Or at least why can't we make it a thing we do at 6 pm?

This is Brooke. I was going to try to skip this today but there are squirrels anyway so I've got coffee, and let's get through this so they can leave.

*chittering*

I still don't understand what you're saying. I don't know how anyone does.

At school, Acting class got to try some monologues, Adulting did introductions, and The Art of Civil Disobedience did introductions before it was discussion time. And in the library, Tip showed up even though it was New Year's Eve, and scrolled through Instagram. That was a FOMO wasteland of two days or so on that app, wasn't it?

Nothing in the dorms- come on, kids, step it up, you're supposed to be doing stupid things at New Year's- but in town, Beau went to work at the gym even though there was random confetti, and Rosa found out after a week off that no one had covered for her at the trooper station. Summer had a dog with her at Turtle and Canary, where Mae came in for a Squishy sample and to check out the store.

And the big thing yesterday was the party at Caritas. Kitty explained party hats to Seivarden, who was told off by Rosa, and Rosa asked Kitty how she was going to keep her baby from waking up when it got loud. I mean, bringing a baby to a bar is certainly a choice. Apparently there were baby headphones. They were probably cute. Dee came to the bar for the first time and got a job, and the squirrels think she was trying to flirt with Miguel? Beau asked Kitty about the party situation for this holiday and caught up with Miguel. Kanan offered to watch the bar when Kitty needed to take care of Lexi, and there's something about flags? The squirrels were vague. Anyway, Hera also showed up to talk to him. Summer and Kitty talked about another one of those events where you make a drink named after yourself. I'm just saying, the Brooke Davis is good.

Summer and Miguel wished each other a happy whatever year it is for them, and she also showed off her drink to Kanan and he pointed Jack out to her, Miguel was looking for a drink that would help with New Year homesickness, and Kitty met Eddie, who works for the paper that we totally have. Miguel asked him how the paper was going, see, that's proof. Kitty and Jack talked late night TV watching before Jack got to see baby pics, and she and Miguel figured out which year the other is celebrating. Jack and Kanan talked non-alcoholic drinks and bar tricks, and Kaidan checked in to see how things were going. Also Kitty greeted Eric, who showed up at a bar not his own. Eddie and Eponine got to know each other in the lounge, and Rosa and Miguel celebrated dumb moods and he asked her about New York, while Beau and Jack complained about the outfits on the girls on the NYE special. Sounds like a good way to ring in the new year.

Okay. I'm done. I'm going to get more coffee and then I have a class to teach. Oh god, I have a class to teach.
gobrookeyourself: (so about that...)

Good morning, Fandom! This is Brooke with a little stack of notes from yesterday, because that's what happens between the break and holidays. Come to my store, though.

Nothing at school, but in the dorms, Prince Sidon found himself in a tank of hot chocolate. That sounds uncomfortable. Is it uncomfortable? And in town, Beau was dealing with a bottled hot chocolate situation at the gym, which she got to meet Miguel over and got an invite to the Drunk and Bored club, which sounds like the title for a book about my high school years. Magnus at least was enjoying the weirdness. The hot chocolate situation had Rosa bringing her dog to work, and Nell had to figure out the watering situation at the flower shop, and at Dite's- how do I not go there more?- Kathy had all the work to do but still found time to help my boyfriend's roommate out and get to know each other after meeting as kids. Good talk to have in a sex shop. ;'

And since that's all I have, I'm out of here.

Good morning, Fandom! This is Brooke, and I know you've been waiting to hear from me all week. It's finals week, so let's go over the last time I'll read this specific lineup of class notes.

At school, Shop class got the run of the classroom today, with bonus points if they used the animatronics. Badass Women got to talk about why they're going to be badasses and what I'd say about them in class. I've always known what I'd say about me in class. It's very flattering. The Circle of Life ended with a Hallmark Christmas movie, and How to Make Friends had a beach party and... smashed animatronics. That's not how I expectedt that to go.

Nothing in dorms, and over in town, Beau had some things to say about an animatronic Santa's labor practices at the gym, Rosa was stuck taking calls about the robots at the trooper station, and Astrid was at Turtle and Canary trying to draw the setups before they disappeared again. Nell was hiding from them at work, and Sabine agreed to help Vette turn some of the animatronic parts into a way to Frankenstein herself a droid pet. That's... definitely a sentence.

Anyway, that's all. This is Brooke, don't miss me too much before next week.

*chittering*

No, I haven't gotten hit with any snowflakes...

[personal profile] gobrookeyourself
...I guess good morning, Fandom. I'm stuck in a radio station with a few squirrels dressed as pirates who are fighting with tiny candy canes, so let me tell you how I didn't expect my day to start.

So at school, Shop class did some sand casting, while Badass Women learned about Eleanor Roosevelt and toured the White House. The Circle of Life seemed mostly sane for once and had a movie day, and How to Make Friends planned a party. Meanwhile at the library, Tip was cranky at Fandom's current thing. Tell me about it. I got a hotel off island just so I could shower. Which isn't a big deal for me, but I shouldn't have to.

Over in the dorms, Nina was complaining about the eggnog to whatever a Foomy is, which was apparently Lana's warning that everything was terrible, and also Sidon stopped by. That's all I've got.

In town, Beau was both not wasting eggnog but also warning people at the gym that the showers might not be the best idea, Alluka considered dressing up at Demon Marcus as a pick me up, and at the trooper station while Nell tried working her mood off, Rosa also dealt with eggnog in the desk drawers. Hopefully Miguel bringing her lunch helped her mood. Usually works when Mike does it for me. At Turtle and Canary, Astrid mixed the Squishy and the eggnog oh god honey no. Rufus came in to get water and to arrange for the animals to get taken care of there, and Astrid asked Mitsutada about his class plans for next semester. And over at the Devil's Nest, Mitsutada and Miguel both hoped to get things that weren't eggnog, while Verity was making the best out of a bad situation with the menu.

That's it, hope your day gets more normal.

Stop it, you little rodents, you're going to put an eye out doing that.

[personal profile] gobrookeyourself
Good morning, everybody! This is Brooke, back and totally normal, not that I ever wasn't, really, here with all your Monday news.

At school, Shop class made their own molds to make stuff later, Badass Women went flying with Amelia Earhart Fearless Flyer, The Circle of Life tackled... Christmas shopping. I feel like I should stop wondering at this point but I can't make my brain stop. How to Make Friends was missing the teachers, but did have a gift card for sushi for the first one there, so the students had a sushi party. I think that means class is working! In the library, Tip was dealing with book swarms and beekeeping books battling it out, but she also got a visit from Sidon for some books and to catch up on the holiday.

In the dorms, Nina got randomly fired from their jobs over... there are a lot of notes about a poor mouse dying? Okay. *papers shuffling* Apparently the squirrels were really upset about their fellow rodent. But it turns out Vette and Nina were both peacing out of there anyway and made a plan to get new jobs, and then they ended up in a common room full of puppies, so good for them. Vette and Sabine tried to figure out why there were puppies, with reasons such as "they were protecting a secret" and "there was a plague of puppies, or possibly students turning into puppies?" Nina tried to encourage Vette to keep one, Prompto invited Sabine to the pet store where she can play with puppies whenever she wants, and look, I'm still finding references to the mouse in here. Nina and Prompto decided to blame-slash-credit Zack for this, and Nina and Sabine segued into the possibility of having monthly dorm parties. No word on whether puppies will be there.

In town, Nell was hard at work at the flower shop, Beau was trying to use the speed bag at the gym but it had turned into an adorable pillow, Rosa was back at work and caught up on radio, and Astrid was reading on her first official day of work at Turtle and Canary.

That's all the news that's fit to read aloud! And remember, Clothes Over Bros is open for your holiday business!
gobrookeyourself: (neutral)
[personal profile] gobrookeyourself
Good morning, everyone. This is Brooke with your news, and I'd like to start off by noting that everything is normal today. Well. As normal as you can get here.

At school, Shop class made power from potatoes, which is a good thing to know for the next time we have a big power outage, Badass Women got to watch Venus and Serena play each other, and the Circle of Life slaughtered each other's egg babies, my god, people. How to Make Friends talked about gift giving, and in the library, Tip got distracted by Rihanna. Valid. She also got to rescue Norman from having too many pastries. Huge sacrifice to make there.

In the dorms, Astrid got a not-so-great letter from home, and in town, Beau was having a normal day at the gym. Those do happen sometimes! Astrid was getting Turtle and Canary ready for Thanksgiving, Rosa tragically lost her paperwork due to a coffee incident at the trooper station, Kaidan went running on the beach, and Fenris was hanging out at the Perk. He and Norman caught up on how people all turned into animals that time, and he and Summer talked about how weird things are all the time, and Summer found a whole bunch of stuff to tease Norman about. Nell was doing all the cleaning at Covent Gardens, and Hannibal and Jono had a talk at home.

And that's all. Have a good, non-traumatic, non-annoying day!

*long pause*

Uh, hi, everybody. This is Brooke Davis and there's a squirrel in the floor. Like, he's walking around in circles but the bottom half of him is in the floor. I'm pretty sure this isn't normal? At the very least it's really disturbing so I'm going to read these notes as fast as possible.

At school, Shop class made grappling guns wait what, I taught Badass Women the history of women's suffrage, Circle of Life got egg babies, and Making Friends did an obstacle course to prove they have each other's backs... and Paris and Sabine surprised each other by breaking into teachers' offices. It's for a school project...

*pause*

I'm sorry, it's just... the squirrel. He seems to be stuck now.

We actually have a dorms note, because Vette got a ~preeeesent~. Lana came by to encourage her about a boy, and Nina lived there to encourage her about a boy. Anyway, yes, Vette: go with the boy.

In town, Beau started her first day at her gym job, and got insulted by Seivarden right off the bat. Yeah, that happens. Kaidan ran on the beach and ran into everybody. He caught up with Jono, who said hi to Liam, who also told Kaidan about a raccoon craft brew distillery. ...Okay. Kaidan told Peter he met Eric, and asked Hernando about his date, and okay people, if you're having this many words you're all running wrong.

Nell was singing while she worked at the flower shop, Astrid accidentally walked into a red theme at Turtle and Canary, Rosa and the troopers were going over their search histories at the station and I will die before I ever do that, Verity was on the phone at the Devil's Nest, and Eddie got welcomed to his first day at the newspaper with cake, given to him by deer, which he informed Octavia was because they run the place. OKAY. And Paris came in covered in fake blood for a school project.

You know what, I think it's time for me to go. Can someone help this squirrel?

Good morning, everyone! This is Brooke with your Monday news, reminding you that you have one more day until Halloween, and also Clothes Over Bros has hot costumes and a sale.

Over at school, Shop class did some... pumpkin chuckin'. I mean, that is a thing you can do. Badass Women got homework about Katherine Johnson... That's right, I gave homework. And How to Make Friends got a movie day about how to make friends.

Nothing in the dorms today, but in town, Alluka was trying to find a costume at Demon Marcus. Hey, if none of those work, you know where else you can go? That's right, Clothes Over Bros! Rosa found her desk at the trooper station covered in cat toys, which came in handy since Liam's still a cat. Astrid took a Turtle and Canary shift, complete with glitter signs, Nell was bonding with jack-o-lanters at the flower shop, Kaidan had a case of mistaken identity at the Perk and got a visit from the Liam kitty, and Sabine got some target practice in.

Always a weird note to leave off on! Anyway, have a good day! Happy Halloween! Buy stuff from me!

Morning, everybody! This is Brooke with your weekly Monday news, now with fewer animals than we had yesterday!

By which I mean that they're human again, not that something terrible happened.

So over at school, Shop class made concrete pumpkins, which sounds... heavy. Badass Women learned about Hedy Lamarr, How to Make Friends paired up to try and get something out of the other person, and the Circle of Life practiced kill shots.

*long silence*

At the library, Tip was looking up crab videos online.

Nothing in the dorms, but in the good news is, Norman's not a crab anymore! The bad news is, he got arrested for trying to break into a store to get clothes. But Astrid was also there so they got prison tattoos.

*longer silence*

KIDS. IT'S BARELY A REAL JAIL. WHAT.

Anyway, Kitty ordered the giant sundae at Chilly Boulder and realized she made a terrible mistake, that luckily Cade was willing to help her with. In the park, Kaidan was throwing around a ball for some dogs, one of which turned out to be Zack, who was not arrested. And at the flower shop and music shop, Nell and Simon were just doing their jobs. Good hustle, kids.

That's all my notes! See you ne-

Morning, everybody who's actually listening! This is Brooke, and I missed the deadline to go!

I'm fine. It's fine.

Totally fine.

Anyway. No classes, so Jaina waited at the Perk for her portal home, and the only other thing was Hernando having people over for Canadian Thanksgiving. You know we have a better one in like a month, right? You get to shop at the end of it. Anyway, Kaidan saved the day with cranberries even though he doesn't like them, Sparkle made Hernando promise not to tell Jack he brought brussel sprouts, and promised Atton he didn't have to eat them. Hernando offered Atton a drink- possibly the first of ten- and he and Kaidan complained about people giving them puppy dog eyes. Those, for the record, are a weapon, and should be used wisely.

And then people got together at the causeway to go on a trip where I'm sure no one will get tan or have fun. Nina and Sidon were quiet until he offered to help her with her stuff and she told him about sharing clothes with Vette. Girls. I have a store. Astrid met Rufus' dog while they talked about Greece and what the beaches are like back home, Fenris told Fjord they should do sword practice in case there's singing.... okay.... and Nina checked on Nell, who didn't seem to want to be going. Well, that's just unfair.

Then the squirrels apparently tagged along to Greece to hurt me personally. Aside from Sabine sticking to the common room and Nell going for a walk, it seemed to mostly be people seeing their rooms and meeting their roommates. Karolina didn't have to give up her bed for Rosa, and explained what they're supposed to do on this trip, Lana and Nina tried to figure out if having a kitchen meant they needed to cook, and Prompto was happy to be sharing a room with a dog. And maybe Rufus, too. Alluka and Simon caught up and she explained the trips to him, and Amaya warned Pastor Carter that she was going to be a bad roommate. Good to get that out upfront, I guess!

That's all I've got. Have fun, I guess. I'm not going to be bitter or anything.

Morning, everybody. This is Brooke with just a few notes on yesterday. I'm going to assume that after all the guests left, everybody just passed out or hid or just didn't feel like being social. That's okay. I'll forgive it now and then.

We have school, where Shop class made metal biscuits, which... why? Badass Women got some background on Anita Hill, and Pastor Carter handled Making Friends class by himself and had the class say what they'd show people here about their homes.

Then we're off to town, where Alluka couldn't find anything to wear at Demon Marcus, which is why there's an alternative in Clothes Over Bros!

*chittering*

Don't judge me. Simon got his Carly Rae Jepsen groove on during his first day at Groovy Tunes, Peter checked up on Nell during her first shift at Covent Gardens, and Rosa confused the hell out of everyone at the trooper station by wearing pink. Look, a girl might wanna change it up every now and then, you don't know.

So that's all I have. Don't worry, next weekend should be less stressful.

Good morning, Fandom! This is Brooke again with all the news, on a slow day. Which means I can get out of here sooner to get some much-needed coffee. Seriously. Not sure how anyone lives without it.

At school, Shop class made their own foundries, which sounds cool, even if I have no idea what that is. Badass Women learned about Fe del Mundo and got to explore Manila some, The Circle of Life talked about going to see a doctor when you have a problem worthy of going, and How to Make Friends prepped the students for Parents Weekend. Over in the library, Tip was having a hard time staying awake, but she got Sabine in there looking for help in brushing up for her new job. ...People do that?

Nothing in the dorms, but town was pretty light, too. Octavia was watching the flamingoes at the park, and at the trooper station Rosa discovered, uh, bootlegging raccoons. The squirre-

*short, clipped chittering*

*long silence*

*door slamming*

I don't know if that reaction was good or bad. Anyway, watch out for drunken rodents, one way or another.

Hello, Fandom! This is Brooke, here with your weekly dose of Monday news.

Over at school, Shop class dealt with homework and then worked on puzzle boxes, Badass Women learned about Malala, the Circle of Life had no teachers but did have a Disney movie, and How to Make Friends talked about disagreeing with people, and paired up to start fights.

Or something like that.

Nothing in the dorms today, but in town, Rosa caught up on trooper station work and then talked back to old radio broadcasts, Mitsutada hit up the onsen, and Vette went to the Perk out of boredom. Hera helped out by introducing her to Mexican hot chocolate, and Vette and Lana had a little discussion about the movie I showed in class.

Wait. Really? Oh my god. I think I'm having a proud teacher moment. Keep it up, girls!!!

Also Summer was happy to finally meet Vette, who tried to steal the shuttle bus. So going off yesterday's radio, I guess Kanan continues to be doomed. Hernando had a phone call with Kaidan, and Dante and Anders tried to figure out what to do since Kathy's not back yet.

I didn't want to go off on a note like that, and yet. I'll read at you again next week!

Good morning, everybody! This is Brooke here with slightly fewer notes than last week but still a good number because the squirrels seem to actually be back to stalking everybody. ...Yay?

Over at school, Shop class built squirrel houses with booze as bribes-

*door slamming*

Well one squirrel just took right the hell off so I'm betting that worked. Badass Women learned about Princess Diana and got to watch the wedding and also ask me questions, oh god, the Circle of Life class is going to get that song stuck in my head every damn week, anyway they put condoms on bananas, which is cute. How to Win Friends had a cookout on the beach for the holiday, where Sidon and Lana checked in with each other and she told him what her classes were like a her last school, Sidon also introducted himself to Simon and they bonded over knowing Tip, and also he checked in with Jughead about why he wasn't enjoying beach activities. Sidon is taking this class to heart and I commend him. He also welcomed Breq back, and asked Pastor Carter- Pastor is not his first name- for some of the uncooked fish.

You guys! We have dorms notes again! In the fourth floor common room, Simon called his mom while bringing home pizza. Sabine picked him out as a new kid and assured him she's not part of a weird week-long hallucination, and she tried to help Lana figure out a hobby, and Simon taught Lana about pizza and asked maybe too many questions about her heritage, and apologized to Vette for his initial reaction to her when he didn't know any better. Sabine got to hear about Vette trying to steal the bus and introduced her to Portalocity, and Vette educated Lana on some of the weird names we have for things here, like "orange."

Wait. What's wrong with "orange"? It's... it's an orange.

In town, Rosa was introspective at the trooper startion, Kaidan checked out the onsen, and Clint and Kitty were failing at putting together a crib. I'm sure it can't be that hard, right?

*long, doubtful silence*

That's all my notes. See you next week!

Good morning, everybody! For those of you who haven't met me, I'm Brooke Davis and I'm the one who gossips about you on Tuesdays because the squirrels tell me to.

Over at school, Shop class made metal stamps to do introductions with, Badass Women talked about people we admire, and Paris offered to lend Jughead books she already brought to class.

*totally not a long-suffering sigh*

Circle of Life class got a rundown of the class, and also listened to Elton John, and How to Make Friends talked about first impressions, with the teachers making them via cookies and disguises. Then the kids got to get to know each other via introdutions. In the library, Tip was researching thanks to my class- good girl!- and got a visit from Nina who needed questions answered, like how electricity works. Yep, it's newbie week.

Hey, the dorms actually saw some activity! Sabine was trying to have a chill-out night that ended up involving a faceoff with a gremlin. She and Lana checked in about their classes and what to do in town, Sabine taught Nell about Bachelor in Paradise, Nell told Lana about being nervous about classes- don't be, we barely grade- and Astrid didn't fare too well with the gremlin, so she thought she was some poor lost girl looking for her godmothers. Sabine tried to be friendly, Lana did some staring, and Nell was interested in her being friends with woodland creatures.

Hey, squirrels, ever braid anybody's hair?

*chittering*

I don't know what that means, I don't speak Squirrel. I'll assume it was a yes, though.

In town, Alluka was back to work at Demon Marcus, and Rosa came up with lesson plans by using the dartboard at the trooper station, at least until Tamsin came in for a surprise inspection. Lana was waiting on the beach for Rufus, while Kaidan existed, and Fjord asked Lana and Kaidan if they saw another one of the weird things that brought him here. Going to take a wild guess and say they didn't.

And that's it for this week. See you next!
gobrookeyourself: (we're about to have a talk)
[personal profile] gobrookeyourself
Good morning, Fandom! As always, this is Brooke with your... two notes.

What the hell, squirrels? I had to get up early for this? You couldn't slip me a note or something saying 'go back to bed'? I give you booze not as a bribe and this is what I get?

*sigh*

Rosa taught her coworkers how to chair race and Rey played in a rain. No guys were involved, so she was missing out.

That's it. That's all I've got. You owe me coffee, you little fuzzy jerks.
gobrookeyourself: (my jaw is dropped)
[personal profile] gobrookeyourself
Good morning, Fandom! This is Brooke, fresh off another plane to read yesterday's news. So let's see what's been going on, shall we?

At school, Summer class had a movie day, and no one passed notes but Clint and Kitty sent texts from... the same room? to make sure she's okay. Netflix class talked about managing the queue, Magic class swirled some light around, and Flight class blew stuff up, with Ahsoka coming to talk to Anakin after class. And at the library, Tip had books around talking about PTSD and coping. ...Okay, that's... a thing.

Nothing at the dorms, but in town, Miguel was rejecting pumpkin spice at the Perk. Wow, that flavor shows up earlier every year. At the trooper station, Rosa threw a monitor and immediately got it replaced, which are both things I wish I could do more often than you'd think. Peridot came in to retrieve her pumpkin... thing, Rosa got a call from Kaidan, and a coffee delivery from Miguel for helping. I'm not sure what she helped with, but I'm pretty sure the coffee was not pumpkin spice.

Kaidan was under house arrest at the Arms, though I'm not sure why, and Peter came to check up. Wait, did something happen while I was gone? Mitsutada got home after a trip and had Reno coming in from the clinic talking about playground equipment? I don't... get it. Miguel told him he missed the fun... Dammit squirrels, what fun?

Sabine was painting a mural on a warehouse and Uma offered to help and they talked about art stuff- okay, that's refreshingly normal- and Short Brooke landed in the junkyard, where she talked to Kanan about their ships and some timeline difference stuff, Hera wanted to see Jaina's ship and found out there are Jedi in the future. They're not all miniscule and cramp my style. And Anakin came by for hugs and to tell her about the 20 foot glitter-spitting fish that was angry about being treated as a prize all summer wait what

Good morning, Fandom! Really glad you got that whole... technology thing figured out before my shift because let me tell you, I would still be in my room, getting drunk with the squirrels so they'd leave me alone.

*chittering*

Yeah, I knew you'd like that. So! At school, Beach class hit up Lollapalooza last weekend, Magic class played... magical water balloon lacrosse, which sounds a little like a Mad Lib, but let's go with it. Flight class didn't fly something terrifying for once, and Netflix talked about what to do when the algorithm is judging your choices and your life. And Tip got stuck with a summer cold over at the library.

And then... not much else. In town Verity tried to see what Tiny would believe at the Devil's Nest, and Hera got word that Kanan was going to be out of town for a bit.

Maybe the squirrels were getting drunk with someone else instead of checking up on people.

*chittering*

I don't know what that means so I'm taking that to mean I'm right. Talk at you next week!

Good morning, Fandom. As mostly always except for last week, this is Brooke with your Tuesday news from Monday's events. And it looks like no one really did anything. Let's see, what do we got here?

At school, Summer class played beach volleyball, Flight class studied horrifying flying monstrosities, Magic class got a movie day, and Tip was trying to find photography inspiration in the library.

And in town, because the students apparently refuse to have drama, Hernando was trying to push iced tea at T42, where Sparkle came in with a non-terrifying fish and got tea and some bonding time with Hernando, and Astrid got hot tea to be contrary. I approve of this. Rosa was having a boring Monday, and Amaya was puffy but back to work at Turtle and Canary. Good for you. Do I want to know why she was puffy?

*chittering*

...Oh.

Sooo, on that note, see you next week!
gobrookeyourself: (pretty girl)
[personal profile] gobrookeyourself
Good morning, everybody! This is Brooke, here with your very fast Monday news before catching a plane. And it looks like it's a very small stack today, so I'm going to do something I never do: I'm going to thank you for being boring.

At school, Summer class went to a water park, Netflix class talked about genres, and I am impressed at how they make it seem like they're working, Magic class painted with magic, and Flying class tried out some terrifying looking thing that I wouldn't be caught dead on because then I would probably die.

Nothing in the dorms, and then it's just town, where new guy Hernando went for a walk, and at the trooper station, Rosa was not exactly stopping the troopers from decorating Liam's desk with cat stuff. And then Kaidan came in looking for help on some tunnel thing? I have no idea.

Anyway, that's it! I'm going to go call my Uber now. See you when I get back!
gobrookeyourself: (i'm good here)
[personal profile] gobrookeyourself
Morning, everybody! This is Brooke with your usual Monday news, though this week seems a little lighter than usual? Maybe? I'm not sure.

At school, Beach class did the lazy river thing, Magic class played with enchanted bats-

*chittering*

Not baseball bats.

*chittering*

Not real bats. Fake bats? Sure, enchanted fake bats. And Flight and Flying had no teacher but they got a field trip anyway. In the library, Tip dealt with a ghost in the form of a book. Is this like the bat thing? Is there some summer Halloween theme I'm missing? Did you guys get weirder while I was gone?

Nothing in the dorms, so in town,

Rosa dealt with gremlin catharsis at the trooper station before catching up on tea rage, which I don't think had to do with Liam getting some at the Perk. Peter also got tea and Liam apologized for missing movie night and caught him up on stuff, Kanan got tea and discussed his current anti-coffee position, and Kitty didn't even come for tea but it turns out it isn't bad if she completely changed it. At the gym, Kaidan did some cathartic working out, and got to talk... soldier stuff with Zack. I see the word twice and I don't know why. Maybe the squirrels were really emphatic? And Verity tried to get in on the tea wars by offering a special on coffee liqueur drinks at the Devil's Nest.

On one hand I like the drama. On the other hand, it's tea, people. I'll leave you with this: go sleep with someone you weren't supposed to or something. Get in a real fight.
gobrookeyourself: (hand on hip)
[personal profile] gobrookeyourself
Good morning, Fandom! It looks like your weeklong summer vacation is over, because I have actual notes to ready today. I mean... some notes. There was an attempt at notes.

So at school there are some new and old classes, including Summer class that started with a movie day. Fun with Magic had introductions and played hide and seek with an invisibility school- this place, I swear- and Constantine welcomed Bob back with profanity. Netflix class started with trying to get passwords from other students, oh my god that's a real class? The class is Netflix?

...Why didn't we have that when I went here?

Flight and Flying tried something called an Albatross and figured out how to make it better, and in the library Tip and the books were having a disagreement on book displays.

And then in town, Bellamy thought he was getting away without a birthday celebration but squirrels are a thing so now everyone knows. And Rosa was at the trooper station where they arrested an arsonist cat who hates Mondays.

*long pause*

*longer pause*

Yeah, okay, I'm done for the day, bye.
gobrookeyourself: (let me think about that)
[personal profile] gobrookeyourself
Hey, everybody, this is Brooke with your Monday news, though there's not much of a reason since everyone decided to celebrate their summer vacation during summer vacation to not do anything.

Tip still opened the library, and read a comic during her shift, and the dorms were silent, so in town Sabine was doing some... miniature fashion designing? I don't know what that means. Kaidan skipped rocks at the beach, Ino was giggly over ice cream and Verity got a call with bad news while at the Devil's Nest. Good luck with that.

That's seriously all I've got. I came all the way down here just for this?

*sound of pouring*

Oh. And apparently I'm going to day drink with some squirrels. You know, I've done weirder. Till next week.
gobrookeyourself: (being all serious)
[personal profile] gobrookeyourself
Good morning, Fandomites! This is Brooke, coming to you like every Tuesday, catching you up on all the news the squirrels saw fit to stalk you for.

Over at school, Beach class had to figure out to do with a giant beach ball, Sailing class skipped a final to have the run of the ship, and Climbing class got a movie day. All of this is very lazy and I approve, which really is the spirit of summer, isn't it? Tip spent her library shift spotlighting black female authors, and in her office, Karolina had everything decked out for Pride.

Nothing over at the dorms again, and it's pretty quiet in town, too. Rosa was having a quiet day at the trooper station untilSeivarden came in to report a missing cat, Kaidan healed up in the Atlas sauna, and in Gourmet Foods, they went to Ethiopia. Hannibal checked in on a banged-up Kanan and didn't support Seivarden's eating methods, and Seivarden told Kanan about her missing cat.

So I guess if you see a cat you know who to call? Kinda feels weird to say have a good day after that, but have a good day anyway.

[personal profile] gobrookeyourself
Good morning, everyone, and hopefully you've gotten time to adjust to your correct ages. Since I feel like I was already awesome and only got better with age, I'm doing pretty good. Thanks for asking.

So! Over at school, Beach class had a cookout, Sailing class raced to see who got to steer, and I don't know if Uma threw Beaker overboard, but I'm sure it's safe to say Beaker probably ended up overboard. And Climbing class went climbing in Maine, and no one ended up hanging off a cliff. Really. And in the library, Tip spent a shift looking at Tumblr.

Nothing in dorms but in town, Hardison was trying to wade through the teenage mess of the house, and he and Eliot were awkward but still hugged it out, and Parker smartly suggested takeout for breakfast. Kathy found a letter from her teenage self and also got makeouts with Dante, and at the trooper station, Rosa was refusing to listen to radio. One might think there might be something embarrassing in there, hmmm. Tony offered to throw the gross chips from the party at the pregnant chick, and teased Steve about bubble wrapping his tiny self. Hopefully as adults they've both learned: less gross chips, more accessible booze.

Sabine didn't have any trauma so she blew up paint bombs in the warehouse district with Miguel watching and remind me not to go there, and at the Devil's Nest, Verity was offering free drinks to people with embarrassing stories. Cristina explained that she hates the island, but hey, you survived your first weirdness! That's an accomplishment! Miguel's story wasn't embarrassing enough for a free shot, but he and Verity did run into each other as kids.

And finally, Gourmet Foods went to Tokyo, where Kanan and Seivarden were shruggy and/or awkward, Hannibal checked in on Kanan and showed Seivarden how to eat sushi, and didn't have to show Kanan. Also, now I want sushi.

That's all my notes. Continue the healing process, guys.
gobrookeyourself: (so there)
[personal profile] gobrookeyourself
Good morning, Fandomites. This is Brooke Davis here with all your Monday news on Tuesday morning, and there's not a ton. I'd say talk more, but I also really want to get coffee.

Over at school, Beach class tried surfing, Sailing class had Edward about half-asleep and telling them to raise the sails, and Caving and Climbing or Climbing and Caving did some bouldering in Canada. The books at the library had Pride-themed jackets, so Tip was doing some reading till she got a visit from Sidon, who came to learn how to play games but also learned how falling from heights in Climbing class might be a bad idea. I think it's because people are squishy.

In the dorms, Astrid was trying to do some letter-writing on the roof, and then in town, Rosa was getting some kind of laugh catharsis while listening to the radio at the trooper station, while Kanan grabbed some tea at the Perk. Rey came in to talk about leaving in a couple months and getting sparring in while they can, and Kanan got to continue the radio smackdown on Seivarden in person by telling her to lay off the students already. Kanan checked in on Kaidan- that's going to get confusing- and got to explain that he's not dating Peter and why he's got issues with Seivarden. I'll admit I missed the whole start of that thing but I'm here for the drama. And then Iris and Miguel plotted to make the fish even more terrifying. You guys. What more can you do?

*chittering*

That is not a dare.

And finally, Gourmet Foods went to Italy, and Hannibal checked that Kanan was good with this place. It's Italy. There's nothing bad there.

Anyway, that's all for me. Have a great Tuesday, and may god have mercy on that fish.
gobrookeyourself: (b davis)
[personal profile] gobrookeyourself
Good morning, Fandom friends, and welcome to summer! Sure, you still have to go to class, but you get to do it in hot weather while everyone else is out. It's like practice for adulthood.

Adulthood sucks, guys.

Anyway! I have school notes, because you had to go even on a holiday. At least Beach class just had everyone get in the water, and Sailing class made the kids row, like they didn't get enough of that the other week. Did they get a fish for winning this, too? Climbing climbed rocks without ropes, and I'm going to put it out there: I'm never, ever, ever going to do that. And since Fandom's gonna Fandom, Tip had to reshelve the library in indoor sunlight.

Moving to town, Rosa was at the trooper station, dealing with complaints about the squirrel barbecue.

*chittering*

*additional, long-winded chittering*

I don't know what any of that meant but I hope you got it out of your systems. Eliot was at Luke's with a staff that was celebrating Bastille Day, Iris made a call from the Perk, and Gourmet Foods went to Brazil for barbecue. Kanan told Hannibal he wondered if he could make the Bastille Day celebrators at Luke's try this, Iris introduced herself to Seivarden and told her about selling teas, caught up with Kanan, and told Hannibal she wasn't impressed by the decor. Amaya came specifically for meat on sticks and compared what she was trying with Seivarden, Hannibal helped Seivarden out with the wine list, and after class Kanan asked for help in figuring out when certain ingredients were in the food.

I had to do that for the two days I tried to be gluten-free. Turns out people are pretty good about telling you if you ask nicely.

That's all I've got for today. This is Brooke Davis, wishing you a fabulous day.
gobrookeyourself: (chilling out)
[personal profile] gobrookeyourself
Good mornig, Fandom! This is Brooke Davis, coming at you with all the news of yesterday. And if you're one of the new people in these notes, don't mind the squirrels. It's a whole thing.

At school, Beach class portaled off to California to check out tide pools, Sailing class got introduced to Edward's ship, and got to talk about who they'd be without constraints before raising the sails. Beaker ended up in the water. Climbing and Caving did some climbing and caving and also learning about rocks I refuse to pronounce, and Tip caught Peridot licking rocks again but apparently it's for a reason. It's still rock-licking, okay. Anyway, that discussion continued to the library. And here you are, still learning things during the summer.

Nothing in the dorms, so in town, Dante and Anders had a date night over a kids' movie, Rosa walked into the trooper station with normal hair-

*sounds of "Back in Black" playing*

Yes, thanks, that's very helpful. You can stop now.

*sounds of "Back in Black" not playing anymore*

It looks like we've got a couple newbies in town. Welcome, new people! Don't run screaming! First up was Cristina, who got dropped off by a cabbie in the wrong spot. Kitty tried welcoming her but was kind of written off as a hallucination, Cristina was glad to find another doctor in Hannibal and also got a failed ride out of town, and uh... it looks like she tried to put Jono out. Like, make him not be on fire. So he got to tell Hannibal how he broke the new girl. And then there was Kaidan, who seemed to have an easier time, and he was jogging around the park. Peebee told him a little about the island and was told she reminded him of someone, he got coffee recs from Peter and told him about the shop he's running, and he got introduced to Amaya's mechanical duck and Kanan's rainbow dog. He took it all in stride, really.

And finally, there's Gourmet Foods class at the community center, which was at a French restaurant. Kanan felt underdressed but got food recommendations from Hannibal and did not save Hera from a talky waiter, but he did offer to green himself up next time so she's less conspicuous, so he earns some points back. Also Summer may be gone, but she's still texting.

And that's it for the notes. Have a good day, Fandom. Especially if your brain got broke yesterday.

Good morning, friends! This is Brooke Davis, coming at you from a regular radio slot. To all the new kids... sorry about the spying, but I'm still gonna read about you anyway.

SO. At school, All Things Beach did introductions and then made sandcastles. Doing as You Like for Fun and Entertainment, which we're going to call Sailing class from now on, started with introductions, Climbing and Caving also did introductions, and Liam explained the class, and made sure everyone had to have a helmet, even if they're invulnerable. And in the library, Tip was trying to get more female authors in the summer reading display, and Astrid came in to get started on her summer reading and found a book by her mom.

In the dorms, Sabine got started on painting her room, where Norman checked up on his little sis with cookies and talk of where he's from, and Astrid came back to her room to help with the painting. I guess it's either that or be horrified when your room turns out a weird color.

There's not too much in town, though Rosa came back to the trooper station with a perm and got random congratulations. Hopefully not congratulations on the perm?

And finally, at the community center, Gourmet Foods went to Baltimore for seafood. Hannibal offered Kanan private dining options so he could bring Hera, and they talked about fried foods and Summer's gelatin restaurant- that's a niche- Seivarden and Jenkins bonded over tea, Jenkins and Hannibal said hello and talked about coastal cuisine, and Hannibal welcomed Edward back to Fandom. Yes, welcome back. I don't know who you are, but that doesn't matter. Seivarden and Kanan bickered over finger food etiquette, and Seivarden looked for backup from Hannibal but didn't get it.

And that's all the news I've got today. Till next week, when I read you getting spied on some more!

Gooood morning, friends! This is Brooke Davis, filling in on either the best or worst week, depending on how you choose to look at it. Also, I'm going to say right now that I'm disappointed in how small this stack of notes is.

First up, at school, I helpfully gave the Home Ec students some tips on how to handle the week, because I'm a giver.

*70's porn music plays*

You know what, squirrels... Actually, no, keep it. It sets the mood. Meanwhile World Myths managed an actual class about when myth becomes reality, though I'm impressed if the students actually sat still for it. And in the library, Tip was reading some... shall we call them "week-themed books"?

In the dorms, I'm starting to realize that this was easier to report on when I was a student and now it feels a little creepy but it's happening anyway. Summer was in the second floor common all frustrated while trying to find things, and Rey came in mainly just to slam things, and then turn Summer on to the plus of just hitting it till you feel better.

Over in town, Clint and Kitty woke up and got right to getting it on. Good hustle, guys. Rosa was focused on codpieces at the trooper station, and Verity got pulled into an Argentine tango with the DJ at the Devil's Nest. She also got compliments from Liam, and the notes don't say so, but I'm gonna go ahead and assume later she got something else from Liam.

That's all I've got. Seriously, this is downright disappointing, Fandom. Go make some dirty new friends, but remember: use protection. No one wants herpes.

Jaina: *rushed* Okay, hi.

Brooke: About time you picked up. Where were you?

Jaina: working.

Brooke: You sound way too happy about that.

Jaina: Don't you have your own business? Then you should know.

Brooke: ...When you put it that way... Still, you could have been on time for our very last broadcast together.

Jaina: Are you serious? Already?

Brooke: I know you're gonna miss me-

Jaina: I love today.

Brooke: Let's just move on.

Brooke: Good evening, Fandom! Welcome to your weekly date with Brooke and Jaina, I'm sure you're all very happy about that-

Jaina: Stop introing and let's just get this over with.

Brooke: Are you being crabby again?

Jaina: You always call me that. This week's just been... back to normal.

Brooke: PMS?

Jaina: Stop blaming everything on PMS and read school notes.

it is wednesday, right? )

Brooke: Hi, everyone! Welcome back to the end of another Wednesday night, where I hope there is no trauma except the fun kind, and everyone is unemoed.

Jaina: I can actually get behind that statement.

Brooke: ...And I take back what I just said because I'm pretty sure hell just froze over. Sorry, all. It's Jaina's fault.

Jaina: Just get to the notes. You read school.

Brooke: No! I hate reading school! It reminds me of going to school and there's a reason I don't do that anymore!

Jaina: If reading notes really reminds you of going to school, I think you're doing one or both really wrong.

up before thursday! )

Jaina: Okay, I'm still catching up on radio broadcasts, but it seems like I took a week off and the island had to have a crisis. Stop that.

Brooke: ....Or you could just say hello.

Jaina: I like my way better.

Brooke: I swear by the time we finish our time on radio, I will have taught you how to make a proper introduction.

Jaina: I know how, I just don't want to.

Brooke: You do it because you hate me.

Jaina: You figured me out.

hello for getting home way too late on radio night! )

Brooke: Seriously. Gossip. I'm feeling out of the loop here, you know.

Jaina: And of course it's all about you.

Brooke: And it only took you this long to figure it out. Okay, hanging up now. Night, Fandom!
