Good morning everyone!

*annoyed chittering*

Oh, I'm sorry, am I being too loud? Leroy, you don't have to drink all of Summer's shots to impress her. That seems like a bad life choice. And potentially fatal, since you're a squirrel.

*sulky chittering*

Let's get to the notes, okay? Everyone seems to be enjoying themselves here on Boracay. People like Amaya were enjoying the beach, others like Astrid took advantage of the all day snorkeling trip, and a bunch of you went over to the water park that was in the ocean. And a few even went for mermaid lessons. I'll bet Sidon was a hit there. Summer and Amaya hosted a small party in their room before the pub crawl. Seivarden checked to be sure Amaya was feeling better before agreeing to try every version of the Jello shots Summer had made.

That...was also a choice. Shunsui offered Amaya sake, Rosa tried to convince Seivarden that she'd had nothing to do with her falling off a cliff, Rosa exchanged one-word greetings with Lucifer, who was delighted to be taking part in a pub craw. Lucifer then teased Seivarden about her overprotection of Amaya, and Summer was a little worried that Lexi was going to drink alcoholic Jello when she came in with Kitty. Kitty assured her, and Rosa, that Lexi was only there temporarily and to be used as an excuse if the pub crawl got to be too much.

Which is how a whole bunch of people ended up at the Area 51 Secret Party Facility last night. Sabine and Lana preferred to spend the evening together on the beach, instead.

And that's everything! Drink plenty of water this morning, everyone, and I'll see you at the gym.

*chittering*

"It'll be a cold day in hell first" is inappropriate, Leroy--

[personal profile] heroic_jawline
Good morning, everyone, on this very blustery day.

*chittering*

Well, I'm sure the woodchucks weren't trying to hit you with the wood, Leroy. The wind probably took it.

*squirrelly muttering*

Leroy, don't start something. In classes yesterday, Rosa took hers to get properly attired for riding motocycles, so look for people wearing new leather jackets and be sure to compliment them. Bird Hats made Viking helmets for albatrosses, and Sex Education got extremely educated about the menstrual cycle. And I'm assuming everyone else is learning math and English in their spare time.

In town, Amaya is very much not getting sick at the Forge. That seems specific. Rey got to overhear a barista's awkward phone call and was grateful for the distraction of Liam's arrival, but then she learned it was not a great day for him, so--

*awkward silence*

I'm not sure the rest of us really needed to know that, guys. Shunsui and Octavia had their normal Wednesday sake toast at T&C because they'll both be in on the Spring Break trip next week, where, I assume, they will be having a sake toast on the beach instead. And finally at Caritas, Seivarden was disappointed to learn there wasn't a Jello shot tasting last night and Rey got educated about Pop Rocks. I'll find you later and ask because I have no idea what those are.

And that's it from me. Make sure to pack your sunscreen and I'll see you on the beach next week.

[personal profile] heroic_jawline
Good morning, everyone, it's Steve Rogers back for your usual Thursday news.

*concerned chittering*

You should see the other guy. I'm fine, Leroy, and let me extend my apologies to our Leadership class for missing it on Tuesday. I was in the hospital.

*more chittering*

And I'm heading back to bed after this, too. Did Tony pay you to make sure of that?

*suspicious silence*

Uh huh.

In classes, Bird Haberdashery made tiny boater hats for hummingbirds--that sounds adorable--Rosa's class learned to ride motorcycles, and Anakin's Sex Ed class talked about the responsibility of parenthood after a week of taking care of fake children.

In town, Amaya was working on a scimitar at the forge, Alluka was prepping new inventory at Pixie Dust, Shunsui was looking the pages he'd written for his novel at T&C, and Summer was at Caritas with Jello shots and snake jazz last night. Lucifer stopped in to try the Jello shots and make plans with summer for after the bar closed, Summer got to explain sex pollen to Cait while feeding him a mai tai, and Rey checked in from space to make sure that the pollen was gone. And Seivarden came in for whiskey and a chance to talk about the dates she's been set up on at the dating event on Saturday. I'm not really sorry to have missed that, honestly, but I'm glad people had some good, clean fun.

*chittering*

I didn't need to know that, Leroy. Have a good week, everyone.
heroic_jawline: (Default)
[personal profile] heroic_jawline
Good morning, everyone, on the Thursday of a very distracting week. In classes, Bird Haberdashery had to make baseball caps for mating owls--sounds educational--and Rosa's class was encouraged to go out and have lots of sex.

*turns out Captain America's disapproval can be kinda audible too*

Make safe, healthy choices, everyone. Speaking of which, Anakin gave everyone in Sex Education a robotic baby to take care of for the week.

In town, Alluka was wondering if she should have a sale at Pixie Dust, Octavia stopped into T&C for sake and flirting with Shunsui, and Summer had Sex on the Beach shots on special at Caritas. Subtle, Summer. She got to meet an animatronic cat with a thick Scottish accent named Cait. Summer traumatized Rey by giving her a list of other, worse drinks that could be on special, and then got thoroughly confused by Cait. Seivarden was subjected to a terrible Sex on the Beach joke because it's Summer, and then she got to meet Cait, too. Cait's a little hard to understand, apparently.

Beau was making a compelling argument about why Karolina shouldn't go to work, and Octavia and Duke were out on an extended walk in the woods.

*chittering*

Leroy is apparently worried about chafing and poison ivy. So thank you for that image, Leroy. Lucifer was getting a little maudlin at Devil's Nest and explained some of why to Seivarden, and Astrid was shopping with Nina at Clothes over Bros for a party Nina's throwing tonight. Nina got some advice herself from Brooke about dresses, and then Brooke and Mike flirted like crazy because this is the week for that.

*extended chittering*

People in no way want to hear about that, Leroy. And that's it for me today. Enjoy Valentine's Day in a safe, consensually way, everyone.
heroic_jawline: (Default)
[personal profile] heroic_jawline
Good morning and welcome to today's installment of I Can't Believe These Are Classes. Plus some other things. Rosa's class discussed the best forms of greetings if you're trying to make an impression. Dr. Banner's "Hulk Smash!" certainly works, but I think only if you're Dr. Banner. Anakin's Sex Education course did presentations on sexually transmitted diseases, which is very timely leading into Valentine's Day next week, and Bird Hats made Derby hats for a flock of very cranky kiwis.

In town, Amaya is selling metal flowers for Valentine's Day--those sound amazing, actually--and Alluka is back on the island running the newly renamed Pixie Dust. Octavia was at T&C for her weekly dose of sake and conversation with Shunsui, and Summer was trying to get Tino not to talk at all during her shift at Caritas. Seivarden asked Summer to become her Instagram friend--I have one! I posted a picture of a cute dog once and accidentally broke the site. I don't use it much.

*chittering*

I'm sure I'd just break it again if I put up a picture of a squirrel in a fedora, Leroy.

Amaya came in for the free drinks in honor of "Intergalactic Booze Up Your Blacksmith Day," and convinced Seivarden into another drinking competition. So I wouldn't make loud noises around either of them today.

And that's everything! Talk to you next week.
heroic_jawline: (Default)
[personal profile] heroic_jawline
Good morning, everyone, it's Steve Rogers again to give you recaps of the weird Wednesday classes.

*nervous chittering*

I'm not sure you get danger pay for reporting on the bird hat class, Leroy, even if the birds were--

*chittering*

They can't have been that tall. Let me see the notes. They were putting floppy hats on "terror birds," which were actually dinosaurs. Okay, you can have some more rum. Rosa's class talked about what they'd learned over the week before going on a hike. Hopefully not near the terror birds. Sex Education got to learn all about sexually transmitted diseases and infections. I got that during World War II. It was...well, let's just say it's nothing you should ever make a gruff colonel talk about.

In town, Amaya was working on a long-handled axe...mace...thing, and Shunsui told Octavia a bit about his home dimension to distract her from her pounding hangover. Speaking of hangovers, Duke had one of his own--betting they're related--and was fighting it off with coffee at the Perk. He got Seivarden to tell him about the importance of proper tea preparation and Lucifer to explain how he managed to finagle two enormous milkshakes out of a coffee shop barista.

*chittering*

I didn't need to know that. Or, frankly, see the gestures that went with it. Finally, over at Caritas, Summer was running a special on Long Island Iced Tea shots, made with actual tea, for once. Seivarden had promised to try one, but she's probably regretting that a bit. Sorry, Summer, but those drinks are awful. Amaya was there too, arguing that a Jello shot isn't really a drink because you chew it, and then she and Seivarden tried the shots and I'm sorry. Rey did not drink a Long Island Iced Tea, but I might need one after reading the notes where she and Summer commiserated about meeting alternative universe versions of themselves. I had one show up here with a beard who then threw me in a pit and stole my boyfriend, so...

*chittering*

It was a long time ago. It's fine. On that note, though, it's time for me to go. Be safe, Fandom.
heroic_jawline: (pos: fond exasperation)
[personal profile] heroic_jawline
Good morning, everyone! Let's see what you did in the strangest collection of classes I've ever reported on.

*chittering*

That is a lovely fez, Leroy. I'm sorry I didn't mention it earlier. You got it, apparently, from a turkey that didn't want to wear it in Advanced Haberdashery. Octavia stopped by after class to confirm that Duke really was teaching a class of students to put hats on birds. Rosa's class was told to get out and learn something rather than sit in the classroom, and Sex Education got to put condoms on zucchinis. That sounds...educational.

The dorms were quiet, and in town, Summer was wearing a cute pair of boots--but that's from Leroy, so take that with a grain of salt--at Caritas, and Shunsui was trying to get Octavia to also buy some boots at Turtle & Canary. Amaya was forging a sword as big as she was, and Nina was fulfilling her mandate from Rosa's class by going to the Perk to learn things. Astrid joined her and they discussed the open-ended possibilities of an assignment that was just "learn something."

And that's it from yesterday. Have a good rest of the week!
heroic_jawline: (Default)
[personal profile] heroic_jawline
Good morning, everyone. It's Steve Rogers here to tell you about all of the classes you took yesterday. Rosa's class discussed casual violence, Sex Ed was informed in great detail about the reproductive anatomy of both human beings and...what Sidon is...and Bird Hats made cowboy hats for kookaburras.

As you do.

In the dorms, Shuri and Janet were recovering from their weird classes by watching a Hallmark movie and cheering for the exes that the leads were about to dump. That's an approach.

In town, Shunsui threated Apu with vacation until he agreed to unload the new shipment--sure--and Summer was at Caritas with cinnamon red hot and chocolate-covered cherry Jello shots on special. Those don't seem like they go together, something Rey also wondered about, before she and Summer commiserated about their busy lives. Amaya was putting her contacts into her new phone--what happened to her old one?

*chittering*

Tony turned it into a grenade. Of course he did.

And on that note, I'm off for my morning run. Stay safe, Fandom!

[personal profile] heroic_jawline
Good morning, everyone, this is Steve Rogers with the news. Hopefully everyone's feeling a little better today, and if not, can I suggest heading down to the pet store and playing with some puppies? Our dog has been really great for that kind of thing the last few days.

Classes started back up yesterday, even though Duke and Anakin had been hanging over a volcanic pit twelve hours or so before. Way to walk it off, guys. Anakin's sexual education class focused on not seducing goat demons...really?!

*chittering*

The students were apparently just as confused. And Duke is teaching Advanced Bird Haberdashery.

*loooooooooooooooong pause*

I'm glad to see we're all back to normal, then. Duke's class had to make hats for porgs and Duke had to take a moment to hope that Juillenne's friend Camden doesn't eat the birds this semester. Rey stopped by to check in on both Anakin and Duke after their classes, which led to an impromptu yoga day on the beach for Duke to attempt to relax.

And Rosa was teaching Bad A--really, these are the classes today?

*chittering*

Language. Her class on...self-esteeming boosting...got side-tracked when her visual presentation ended up full of terrible Baby Boomer humor comics and they had to discuss if having your phone programmed to make fart noises when you get a notification makes elevator rides funnier.

Barton, you want to weigh in on this?

Sidon was rehydrating in his tank in his room today--days in a volcano cannot have been great for you--and Prompto stopped by with rice-less sushi.

*chittering*

Fish, right.

In town, Shunsui admitted to Octavia that teaching his pacifism class might be a hard sell now that the non-violent solution so very clearly failed on Tuesday. Summer--welcome back, Summer!--was at Caritas with a special on lava flow shots. Seivarden came by to drink tequila and very specifically not drink the special and they caught up a bit about how the plant Summer had left behind was still alive and how Leroy had pined for her while she was away.

*defensive chittering*

Oh, now you're concerned with people's private lives, huh? Rey and Summer caught up and commiserated about how their returns to the island had coincided with invasions of creepy toys. Sorry to hear that. And Tony and I took the day to ourselves and that's all I'm going to tell you. So did Liam and Verity.

And that's everything! Let's try for a very uneventful rest of the week, okay?

Hello everyone, Steve Rogers here back from an amazing vacation in Japan. We should go there for a trip some time. It's incredibly beautiful.

*chittering*

Was I supposed to bring you back souvenirs?

*chittering*

I'll bring them over next week, okay? Let's get to the notes. In the library, Lana was extremely grateful to Sabine's texted offer of a coffee run...just how close were you guys?

*silence*

That's what I thought. Don't be creepy.

And Rey was running late for work because we're in that weird part of the year where every day feels like a Tuesday and all we do is eat cheese.

*chittering*

I'm summarizing. And...that's everything! I'll talk to you all next year.

*groaning*

No, that joke never gets old.

Hello everyone, and welcome to exam week at school.

*sounds of warbling gremlin carol singers*

...and the gremlins are back, so be extremely complimentary of their skills if you don't want to be bitten. Good job everyone on not burning the school down yesterday with all the candles in the windows--Lana was glad to avoid them in the library--and Rey stopped her gremlin assistant from lighting my house on fire, so good work, Rey. Over at the Perk, Prompto was looking through all the photos he's taken over this very odd December. Sabine came in to apologize to the barista for trying to fix a non wine-and-coffee drink last week and was pretty sure they'd messed up her latte again on purpose despite that. And Iris came in to say hi, but Prompto was more excited about the chicken--

*chittering*

Chocobo? Sure. That she had with her. And that's all we have today! Good luck on your exams.

Hello and welcome to another Monday. It's Steve Rogers and the Santa hats are stuck on your heads. Sorry.

*chittering*

No, yours looks good, Leroy.

*awkward pause*

Can you stop petting my sweater, please? It's uncomfortable for everyone.

*squirrelly grumbling*

Moving on. In the library, Lana and Sabine were being confused by the lyrics to "Dashing Through the Snow" and wondering why we didn't just stay in transportation without horses. It was written for a time before cars, if that helps?

*chittering*

I do not vividly remember that, Leroy. Hush. In town, Owen was "definitely not sleeping on the job" at the book shop. That seems like a strangely specific thing to write down. Rey was heading home and leaving messages during her shift at Stark's, and the singing snowmen were the perfect amount of entertainment for Lexi in the park. Sorry about how cold that got, Kitty.

And that's everything from yesterday. Leroy, if you touch the sweater one more time, I'm going to dock your pay--
heroic_jawline: (Default)
[personal profile] heroic_jawline
So it turns out that if you have a puppy with absolutely no impulse control and an island insisting on putting chocolate behind every door, your morning is a little more exciting than it should be. Good morning, everyone. It's Steve Rogers and welcome to another weird Monday in Fandom.

Yesterday brought us powdered sugar snow and I can't explain how much of it our dog ate but I'm hopeful he'll stop vibrating by Christmas. Over at school, Lana was trying to learn something at the library becaue the lack of classes for the past few days had made her cranky--

*chittering*

That's not being a nerd. That's being eager to learn and that should be encouraged, Leroy. In town, Rey was not thrilled about what powdered sugar was doing to her hair. Duke's back from his Thanksgiving adventures and Octavia was there to tell him how her very first baking experiment turned out.

*chittering*

Edible? Good job, Octavia! Tony and I haven't achieved that for pie ourselves just yet.

*awkward pause*

That's all we have today? Oh. Well I guess we'll just fill the time with some music. Leroy, you pick.

*sounds of "Dominic the Donkey" over Steve's "NOT THAT ONE" protests*
heroic_jawline: (neu: gotta love a man in uniform)
[personal profile] heroic_jawline
Welcome to the first day of a short week of classes! This is Steve Rogers, here to tell you all about what you got up to yesterday.

In the dorms, Sidon was hosting a sushi party, undeterred by the fact, as he told Sabine, that he had never actually made sushi before. Nina--

*exhuberant chittering*

Fine, you say it much better. Nina!! Like that?

*chittering* Nina thought Sabine is taking the easy way out by naming a roll after herself. Nina and Sidon agree that fish that sushi-ed itself might be strange, even for here.

Over in town, Atton has returned from an extended stay other places and Rey spent her shift at Stark's moving things around with her mind.

*long pause*

Sure, that makes sense. I'm going to go home now. Have a safe vacation, if you're heading anywhere later this week!
heroic_jawline: (neu: gotta love a man in uniform)
[personal profile] heroic_jawline
Good morning, everyone. It's Steve Rogers, back to my usual size and I hope that's true for the rest of you as well.

*chittering*

The squirrels say that all the snacks the smaller yous were giving them were appreciated. Now let's get to the notes.

In the library, Lana was her normal self, but all of the books had become children's literature. Rosa came in to return her...Russian-English dictionary and book on dog-training, and then check out any books Lana might have on being a Russian ballerina spy. Did she get a biography about Natasha? Do they have a biography on Natasha?

*chittering*

Sorry. A friend of mine is a Russian ballerina spy. She's really swell. You'd like her. Sabine who was covered in paint from decorating her room--hope that doesn't look as bad this morning as it sounds--stopped into the library and got scared by the books hopping around her. This place is a lot for a small person. Nell made herself at home in Lana's lap and got story time.

In the dorms, there was a party on the roof, which seems just horribly unsafe. Trevor was up there harvested pillows from the pillow tree?

*chittering*
Makes as much sense as anything else around here. He got into an argument with Sabine about how stealthy she could really be at five. Keyleth was still her normal self, but up for making a pillow fort anyway.

*angry chittering*

Hey now, I am not knocking a good pillow fort. I was stuck in one for an entire weekend, once.

In town, Octavia was out exploring again since her big brother chose unwisely to sleep in. She discovered the candy at Wonka's and her decision with Duke to go back to his boat for disguises to go inside got them derailed onto talking about getting yelled at by adults. Octavia and Shunsui had a very important debate about being a duck versus being a flamingo, Rey coaxed Octavia out of her hiding place, and then Octavia showed Liam all of the toys at the comic shop.

Speaking of Rey, she took time from her shift at Stark's to fix up my black eye that I'd gotten for having a big mouth and zero ability to walk away from a fight as a kid.

*dubious chittering*

I can walk away from a fight now. I just...don't always choose to. Liam was down on the beach. Shunsui was very happy to learn Liam knew Japanese, Duke warned him about getting kidnapped by mermen, and still-her-normal-self Beau checked up on the apparently random child out by himself near the water.

And that's everything the squirrels caught yesterday! Have a good, normal week, everyone.

[personal profile] heroic_jawline
Hello and welcome to another Monday radio. Since we're commemorating Veterans Day today here in America, let me take a moment to thank all of my fellow veterans and everyone else who has put service to a cause bigger than themselves above their own interests. Drinks are on me tonight, okay?

*chittering*

No, not for squirrels. Sorry, guys.

Anyway. Onto the notes. In the library, Lana was attempting to alphabetize Japanese children's books, and in town, Liam and Beau went bowling because they'd discovered that neither of them had done it before. I'm genuinely sorry to have missed watching that. Shunsui was in the onsen again today where he met up with Octavia for some flirting. And speaking of flirting, Nina was definitely not flailing at the Perk about her upcoming date with Owen.

*chittering*

Leroy says he liked that second dress a lot. I'm not sure that helps you, Nina. She also got to meet Duke face to face for the first time and he told her that he wasn't thrilled about her broadcasts and then got his brain a little more broken by her explaining high school reunions, Fandom style. Sorry about that, Duke.

And that's all I have for today! Stay safe this week, Fandom.

*vehement chittering*

Your loss. Running is excellent exercise and a much healthier form of stress relief than---

*VERY VEHEMENT CHITTERING*

I'm not taking the flask, Leroy, relax.

*chittering*

...of course we've been recording. Hello, everyone, this is Steve Rogers with your news of a much quieter Sunday.

In the library, Lana was working around books doing turkey impressions. In town, Rey was at Stark Industries after booking a trip home. Octavia was on the beach enjoying the brisk weather and got to meet Arlo 2, out for a walk with Rosa. Robot dog?

*chittering*

Regular dog with a fondness for licking clown blood. You can't see it, but I'm looking grossed out. Rey came by after her shift and Octavia showed her a sketch of a tattoo she was thinking of getting and then they talked about how very many places Earth has to explore. I'm from here and I'm still blown away by it all.

And that's everything? Great! That means I can run even longer this morning! Have a safe week, everyone.
heroic_jawline: (neg: judging the fuck out of you)
[personal profile] heroic_jawline
Right, so it's pitch black in the radio booth this morning and I'm pretty sure that Leroy is sitting on my head because--why are you doing that again?

*chittering*

Ah, the creepy noise from the corner. Great. So let me just get through these notes before--

*sound of clanging, then something shattering*

HEY. DON'T THROW THE SHIELD.

Before more of that. Lana was up at the library yesterday just in case the visiting alumni had a need to check out a book, and that was either everything that happened in the school and the dorms or I can't find the other notes because it's so dark.

In town, the school hosted the traditional Sunday brunch which was made much cuter because the porgs were all in costume yesterday. Octavia and Rey bonded over how cute the porgs were, and Luke was back from...wherever it is Luke lives when he's not here and managed to make things so much worse with Rey while trying to apologize for that weekend they thought they were in a Lifetime movie. How'd he make it worse?

*extensive chittering*

I didn't know "negative game" was a phrase, but there you go, everyone. Leroy has spoken. Stark--not my Stark--was back after spending many, many years in a box? Really?

*chittering*

You'd be the experts. Rey checked in on him since he seemed a little dusty and confused. Hasn't that described all of us at some point, really? Liam introduced himself as well as Stark was in a losing battle with the porgs over who owned the bacon on Stark's plate. If you think it's Stark, you'd be wrong. Stark explained that he'd been a student here a long, long time ago and was excited to discover that the bakery was still here. After the brunch, Rey went to her shift at my Stark's shop and found a gremlin in a football costume.

*chittering*

I'm not asking, either. And there was a porg costume parade on the deck of Duke's boat.

*squirrelly "awwwwwwwwwwww"s*

Yeah, that's a good image to sign out on. This has been Steve Rogers and, um, watch out for sharp corners today? And avoid whatever's lurking in them?

*more clanging*

AND STOP USING MY SHIELD.
heroic_jawline: (neu: gosh i'm so earnest)
[personal profile] heroic_jawline
Good morning everyone, it's Steve Rogers again and, um. Skip the coffee this morning. Trust me on this.

*chittering*

And also probably avoid Tony Stark. He's gonna be crabby. Yesterday was pretty quiet as everyone adjusted to being back post-trip, but Jack hosted a brunch with bubble waffles, a thing I have never heard of until right this second.

*chittering*

They don't float into space. The squirrels are as disappointed about that as I am. Duke was there to try 'em out, and he and Jack got into a conversation about interior design--really?

*chittering*

Huh. Didn't see that coming, and then various definitions of what home means. Summer checked in with Kanan at Luke's, where he was in charge of supervising flatcake preparations. After a couple of jump scares too many in a place full of sharp weapons, Amaya relocated to the Perk yesterday, much to Seivarden's surprise. Hannibal got a visit from Sparkle at home and caught him up on "Toronto things"--hmm?

*extensive chittering*

The squirrels apparently have a scary-looking chart to keep track of this. I'm not sure I need to get that involved, guys, but I appreciate your attention to detail. And that's everything for the day! Welcome back to classes, everyone, and...try some tea.
heroic_jawline: (Default)
[personal profile] heroic_jawline
Good morning from sunny Quito! It's Steve Rogers and the away team here in my bedroom so you have to hold it down a bit so we don't wake up Tony, okay, guys?

*chittering*

I'm glad you've found some local stringers to help you, Leroy, but I wasn't entirely expecting this many guinea pigs.

*extensive chittering*

It's very nice to meet you, too. Let's start with the news from the island first, okay? Atton was offering discounts on tropical drinks at Caritas, Rey was happy to be normally-shaped-for Rey again over at Stark Industries, and Lana was an industrious student who did her shift at the library.

People--not Jack and Kaidan, they were going to Canada--mingled around by Portalocity waiting for our trip to start, and then we arrived in Quito with no hiccups unless you count Anakin being shot out of a cannon on our layover a hiccup and not just amazing to witness. We're all settled in for now at the Dann Carlton, and Nina had a tiny freakout about her room only coming with one bed before she realized her roommate was Sidon and not someone she didn't know. Magnus was a little disappointed this trip didn't come with bunk beds--maybe on the ship?--and Prompto and Elisabeth tried to get to know each other a little better since they'd be sharing a room this week. Tony and I--

*chittering*

We were not ridiculously sappy. We had a very normal conversation about why a corgi puppy would make a terrible intelligence asset. Over at the Europa Cafe, Shuri and Wayne practiced their Spanish and made a date to try out all kinds of Ecuadorian coffee tomorrow.

And now Tony knows that's a thing, so I guess I know what I'm doing tomorrow too. Keyleth had left her normal antler-hat-thing off before going to the Luxemburgo Cafe, and Trevor told her she looked weird, which was kind of rude. You can't see it, Trevor, but I'm giving you my disappointed face.

*sounds of guilty chittering*

It's not aimed at you guys, gosh. Anakin was sulking in the jacuzzi after trying to get all of the feathers--hee--out of his hair. Lucifer informed him that the sulking was ruining the entire vibe of the place, Kennedy was glad that the tradition of either fall break or Anakin sulking continued, and Kitty at least brought tequila to ease the humiliation. Delirium was still--

*chittering*

"feeling fishies." Sure. She splashed Lucifier while he was lounging by the pool, anyway, which didn't please him at all.

And that's all we have for yesterday! See you on the bus tour, everyone here! Be safe, everyone back in Fandom!
heroic_jawline: (x girl!Steve smile)
[personal profile] heroic_jawline
Good morning, everyone, this is Steve Rogers and you can tell by my voice that it's already one of those days, so guy...presenting...folks.

*frantic chittering*

And squirrels. Yeah. It's not just you.

*awkward pause*

Leroy, please stop petting my hair. It's kinda invasive.

So let's get to the news of yesterday where everyone's bits were their...usual bits. I normally spend zero time thinking about them in general. I'm just putting that out there in a clearly futile effort to make this less weird. Up at the school, the library books' good behavior for last weekend was completely gone this one. My sympathies, Lana. In town, Luke's had the normal pancake special, but there were also waffles. Tisarwat stopped in to explore the vast world of Earth breakfast food, so no one ruin it by giving her Cream of Wheat, okay? Sparkle was desperate for a distraction at Demon Marcus and got one in the form of Kaidan bringing pastries, and Hannibal stopped by later with lunch. Kaidan was dodging porgs on the beach, and Liam--hi, Liam!--complimented him on his technique. Owen was talking to the furniture at the book store--no notes about it talking back--and Atton was concentrating very hard on not paying attention to the Caritas zombies. Finally, Rey has a new gremlin assistant on her shifts at Stark's and that is probably slightly worrisome, speaking as a guy who lives there on non-Rey days. Guess I need to open negotiations with him now, too?

Good morning, everyone! It's Steve Rogers here again hoping that your weekend was fun and stress-free and that everyone's visitors had a good time.

*chittering*

Thank you, I did have a lovely visit with our friend Jan. Did you have any visitors?

*extensive chittering*

Oh. Ohhhhh. Ohh, I didn't know about Leroy's sister's ex-boyfriend. They have charts, everyone, so...maybe don't ask the squirrels about their weekends.

In school, the books were on their best behavior at the library. Lana assumed it was becaues of Parents Weekend.

In town, Lucifer's visitors finally tracked him down at his home, Atton's guests were learning about Irish Bomb Shot--the drink, not the explosive--and there was, naturally, a giant brunch in the park for mingling and avoiding of visitors. Vette is no longer a blue bird--congratulations, Vette--and was at the picnic mostly for the pancakes because she didn't have visitors. Mae, Vette, and Mae's visitor Gregg made plans to set up multiple zip lines, so someone should probably check on that, Nina told Vette about all the cute guys that were here this weekend and flailed a bit about how Dean Skywalker had pretended to be her parent for the weekend. That's pretty nice, actually. Is that something we're supposed to do? Lana warned Vette to steer clear of her guests, Duke met Hernando's guest Dani, Tisarwat was a little disappointed to discover her visitor was still here and then they talked about what Zeiat had learned from her teachers, Octavia and Beau exchanged tips on the best food to stock up on from the buffet, and the squirrels wanted it noted that the rowdy, loud table were Prompto's friends.

Wayne was having a not-great weekend, which his sister Katy explained to Vette when Wayne was being his normal laconic self to Vette, which led to them all concluding that the King of Wakanda is a twerp.

*long pause*
*hysterical laughter*

Right. Shuri was there to explain her--hee twerp brother's behavior to Wayne. Speaking of awkward, Miguel got to meet Rosa's father despite Rosa's protest that no one even knew who she was. Octavia and Liam caught up about Liam's visitor this weekend and Octavia's slightlyl blood-thirsty, flirty turn last weekend. Finally, Keyleth met some porgs.

What's a porg?

*shuffling paper*

Oh, look, a helpful note! They are birds from Rey's galaxy, and both she and Octavia declare them to be cute. Then Rey and Octavia commisserated about last weekend where Rey declared her love for Luke Skywalker while Octavia planned to marry and murder Anakin. You know, as you do. Over at Luke's, Summer was there for a last round of pancakes with Kanan, and Duke and his guest Nathan came in for brunch, too. And then Hernando's guest Dani came to ask for caf. Not coffee?

*chittering*

Huh. Guess she's from a different galaxy, then. Finally, over at Demon Marcus, Tisarwat's guest was looking for fish sauce. Sparkle explained that he didn't have any because it was a clothing store and then Zeiat was confused because the green nail polish had tasted just fine and...yeah, I think I'm going to end it right there.

This is Steve Rogers. Have a good week, everyone.
heroic_jawline: (neu: gotta love a man in uniform)
[personal profile] heroic_jawline
Good morning, Fandom! For those of you hiding under blankets and praying that our ridiculousness had maybe escaped the squirrels--welcome back, by the way-- and their notebooks, well. I'm sorry to disappoint you, but they have the receipts.

Literally. Apparently they charge double for weird weekends.

*pointed chittering*

Yes, I remember that in the contract. I apologize. Let's just get started, okay, and then we can all mutually agree to never discuss this again.

The school was quiet, but in the dorms, Nina had set up a maze in the second floor common room to give her...jelly demon and Vette, who's still a bird, some Mortal Peril to travel through.

*chittering*

The squirrels think it's worth noting that Nina was completely herself. Just...going with it. Shuri stopped in to see if Nina had any news on Wayne and his Amazing Destiny this weekend, and Nina honed right in on why Shuri would be so invested. There was a lot of overly complicated romantic plot lines this weekend.

*chittering*

We'll get to my own idiocy in a bit, okay? Sabine was a little confused at first about who she should talk to in a common room without men, but recovered enough to tell Nina the best way to attract a boyfriend was by changing everything about herself.

*long pause*

I think we all know today that that is terrible advice, right? It was kind of terrible yesterday, too, to be honest. Sidon burst into the common room to announce to Vette--still a bird, by the way--that he has renounced the crown in order to be with her. Nina was annoyed because he ruined the plotline she already had going with the maze and the jelly demon and...yeah. At least Sabine was happy about the romantic declaration?

And speaking of romantic declarations, let's head to town where Jaina and Tahiri were getting married. There were several people in terrible bridesmaids dresses, Sidon had his romantic revelation, and secret prince Anakin--complete with purple hair--was putting the moves on Octavia. I'm sure that'll be completely not embarrassing this morning. Speaking of not embarrassing, Rey made a passionate declaration of love to Luke at the reception and did not get killed by either bride, so good job, Rey! Oh, and the brides got married, which was somehow the least dramatic part of the day.

Atton was in his right mind and opened Caritas, which meant he got to hear about Sia's woes and how she might need more than just a part-time fake boyfriend.

There was a shoot-out in the clinic, so can everyone check on Breq and Tisarwat today? Rey raced over to Duke-the-actual-duke-apparently's boat to tell him all about her new love life and then they got chatting about how things might have been if they weren't so very committed to being just friends and I think we've all seen at least three Lifetime movies about how this ends.

*chittering*

There's nothing wrong with Lifetime movies!

And speaking of Lifetime movies, Tony tried to annul our marriage--we aren't married--and there was a lot of...oh, the squirrels have flags out again. Yeah, it was a little much, and also none of your business.

And that's it. Everyone get out from under the covers, go down and buy some "sorry I was out of my mind this weekend" cards and start moving on. This is Steve Rogers, no longer a penniless hero with a troubled past, and I'm going for a run.

You stay over there.

*gremlin noises*

OVER. THERE.

This is Steve Rogers and I'm going to go find the squirrels after this and conduct labor negotiations or something because this has gotten ridiculous. So, onto the notes!

Lana was in the library, where the books were taking it so easy they'd made themselves hammocks. Over in the dorms, Tisarwat was teaching herself how to cook. That's very brave of you! Trevor stopped by to eat random leftovers from the fridge--good! Food waste is wrong!--and learn that Tisarwat was learning to cook so she can be sure everything is made by someone wearing gloves. It's a cultural thing, apparently, but also good for hygiene, in my opinion. Sabine learned about the gloves too, when she offered to order pizza, and Tisarwat was very annoyed that the quick and easy pasta wasn't quick or easy to make. Trevor and Sabine marveled at how Tisarwat had managed to burn water and hey I've done that, too!

*gremlins gremlinning*

I don't know what you said, but it sounded rude, so cut it out.

Town was busy, with Summer stopping into Luke's after Kanan had...helped get a hairnet onto the pancake-cooking polar bear and I swear I'm not gremlin bit this time. There was a gremlin at Demon Marcus and Sparkle wasn't sure if it was a radio gremlin or a new employee, so he just gave it a wide berth.

Good call, Sparkle. Hannibal stopped by to mention how he'd been talking with Hernando about nothing all that interesting, which is definitely what you say when something interesting has been mentioned. Owen got visited by Nina and all of her exclamation points at Book Haven, Rey came to a peaceful impasse with her gremlin at Stark's, for which we all thank you, and Atton was working at Caritas in between texts and phone calls to other people.

*gremlin noises*

Yeah, I'm not learning to speak gremlin. Sorry. And that's all they've given me so I'm going to figure out what else I need for a squirrel...labor summit thing. If anyone has suggestions, I'm all ears! I'll be at the Perk tomorrow.

I don't think I am being speciest, but I'd be happy to continue this conversation after the radio...and they're making angry placards. Sorry about this, folks. Let's get to the notes before I'm thrown out of here for being a scab or something. It was Sunday yesterday, so there weren't any classes, but Lana was in the library at school with helpful books about Earth, even if the one about modern politics had to be coaxed out of the corner.

Been there, too, book. My sympathies. Oh, that reminds me that I didn't introduce myself. Welcome! I'm Steve Rogers, one of the teachers here, and I'm happy to answer any questions--

*derisive chittering*

That don't include rodent labor practices. Over in the dorms, Elisabeth arrived in time for classes and got to meet Sabine, Keyleth, Lana, and Nina.

In town, Owen was enjoying leftovers from the picnic during his shift at the Bookbelt, Rey was at Stark Industries going through the repairs that hadn't been picked up in a while, and new guy Duke came by ship and it's docked in the harbor and everyone was really excited by that. He met Jack and told her that the moose signed him up to teach a class, which came as news to Duke. For you new folks, there really is a moose. I'm not on any form of narcotics. Duke also met Sidon, and now I need to assure Duke that he also is not on any narcotics. Probably. Sidon's real, at least. I don't know Duke's personal life. Rey got offered a kebab and decided she'd chance the free food from a stranger because it was free food, and chatted with Duke about mechanics and what people do on the island when they aren't teaching or working. Miguel was also wandering around the docks and got offered free kebabs. Those are a little like shawarma, right?

*chittering*

Right, you wouldn't really know, huh.

Over at Caritas, Atton was serving up rum to Tisarwat, who was trying it because the squirrels like it. That...may not be the best way to explore alcohol.

*thwacking sounds*

Ow. Stop throwing things at me. It doesn't hurt, but it's very annoying. Jack came by and guessed that the giant vats of drinks Atton was making were for Sparkle and that seems kinda personal and not like something he'd want spread around on the radio, so I'm going to stop right there. Hernando came by to tell Atton about the apartment he's set up in Toronto and invited him to move there with him and Sparkle? Like a threesome? I'm definitely not reading any further on that.

*chittering*

Stop it, Leroy, I'm not blushing. And Lana came by to check and see if her new little sibling had made an appearance.

Over at Demon Marcus, Sparkle got interrupted from his work day by Hannibal coming by with lunch and beer, and then Atton with the sparkly drinks he'd been making at Caritas.

And that's all the notes I have, though it doesn't mean the squirrels aren't holding out on me. So...sorry about the tiny rodent picket line in front of the radio today, gang. That's probably my fault.

Let's get to all of the fun from yesterday, okay?

Since Dean Skywalker isn't around any more, the potato-vampire from Devil's Nest hosted this week's shenanigan class! How public-minded of Mr. Northman! Everyone was divided into four teams to play Sorry, and good old-fashioned fun was had by everyone!

Speaking of fun, Nina was hosting a party on the boardwalk just afterward. People arrived and mingled, of course, like Mae and Tip--Tip made sure to compliment Sabine on her capture of a Bad Toy yesterday--and Nina and Sabine decided that even though that capture had been great, the real guest of honor at this party was fun and not Sabine. Okuyasu made sure to tell Nina how shiny she was, which is...an approach...and Detective Ballerina Diaz was directed to the food and the hugging booths. Sidon was very enthusiastic about the idea of a party on the boardwalk, and Prompto was just enthusiastic in general, but especially about the hugging booths. Astrid was there to be sure everyone was having fun, especially Wayne, and that is very...dedicated of you, Astrid!

There were, as advertised, hugging booths, which sounds fun and appropriate! Nina had one, of course, and Mae, Sabine, and Wayne. I'm so glad everyone was having fun. *chittering*

Apparently it always happens this time of year. Huh. Over at the Trooper Station, Rosa got a report from Seivarden about tea potentially being poisoned, so I guess that's something to be on the lookout for even if Rosa didn't think the report seemed all that credible. In the park, Kaidan was out for a run despite the weather--I admire that kind of grit--and stopped to chat with Hernando for a bit, and then with Mitsutada, who had been a little homesick the last time they'd caught up. And then he was stumbling a bit and leaning against trees for a while--the squirrels are guessing drunk, but I'll be honest, that's their first guess on everything. Apparently something else I need to look up. They had a hot air balloon race, which sounds pretty amazing. Relationships talked about how you can't expect your partner to change for you, and then discussed things you might compromise on to stay with someone.

Good morning, everyone. It's Steve Rogers again, here to tell you all about yesterday before I get to go back to watching the Olympics. I didn't even know you could be an Olympic kayaker. This is incredible.

In classes, Flight and Flying learned to pilot drones, Relationships decided you can't use national Olympic loyalties in order to win an argument. What, like, "Michael Phelps has more golds than the actual nation of Germany, so I win?" I can see that working on a couple people, but only if they were going to let you win anyway. Finally, Practical Philosophy discussed judging other people.

In the dorms, Cassandra and Dante had a Conversation in the dorm stairwell. Was the capitalization really necessary?

*chittering*

Apparently it was. And Ringo stopped by Dante's room to catch up. About other, non-stairwell-related things, I'm guessing.

In town, Tony and Hardison got together for...something. The notes are vague. Probably not pizza, though, because Hardison is very, very wrong about what he considers good pizza. Speaking of pizza, or at least Italian, Dr. Lecter's community center class headed to Milan to enjoy some. Jaina ended her island run covered in sand due to the sweat she worked up. Did you also get a mouthful of gnats? Because that's the worst.

*appalled chittering*

Well, I'm sorry I ruined the illusion for you, Leroy. The horses over at the Gig still wouldn't go outside because of the screaming sun from a few weeks back, so Dani watched the Olympics and waited for the sun to go down before giving them their exercise. Hannibal and Kanan talked about food as art, and Mary checked to be sure not eating red meat wasn't insulting to anyone. Dani had trouble working because of the overwhelming smell of cheese--it is pretty pungent--and Eliot came back from the dentist to a diner full of people who wanted him to talk, which was kind of cruel.

In the dorms, Dante and Anders were excited that...certain parts...had returned from their pony states...you know, I hadn't noticed that at all because I wasn't looking. At all.

In town, Eliot was not at all interested in trying the new app craze despite his staff's urging at the diner. Hardison, of course, was playing but promised not to do anything stupid like walk into traffic or off the cliffs while playing. Parker wanted to know how Hardison was doing in the game, and Parker and Eliot talked about last week's insanity. Over at Caritas, Kenzi was celebrating no longer being a pony. In classes, Andrew Skywalker poked at our collective memory of losing our memories in his Practical Philosophy course and made his students talk about what they'd learned about themselves through the weekend. Yes, I know that last night was a little rainy, but you don't have to shoot off the fireworks now. Also, who sold squirrels fireworks? That's unsafe. Hello everyone, it's Steve Rogers with the news again. In classes yesterday, Flight & Flying had a movie day that Jaina disappeared halfway through--don't worry, though, she was back by midnight--Building Healthy Relationships was canceled for the holiday, and Andrew Skywalker held his class and asked his students how they felt about the island these days.

In the dorms and bubblehuts, Lucille's trying to read while heading to the bathroom and walked into a wet Dante. They sniped at each other until she suddenly turned sweet and understanding, which is...unusual. Dante tried to flee to his dorm room and ran into Ringo, who told him he shouldn't be there right now because of the rules. She then wished he'd just admit he cared about people...and it worked. Sounds like I missed a weird day by having dinner with the President. Anders and Dante figure out the wish thing pretty fast and Anders wished to be honest so that he'd be even , which was pretty great of him, I have to say. Ringo goes back to her bubblehut very confused about her chat with Dante and met up with sugary sweet Lucille, which just added to the confusion. Meanwhile, in Murdersquee, Frank discovered he had a glass that refilled itself, making yesterday Frank's very best day.

In town, Hannibal held his food appreciation class and everyone went to the Sequoia, which I'm going to assume is a fancy restaurant and not a giant tree. Lucille told him how nice it was, which was either sincere or part of the wish thing from earlier. Roscoe was grumpy on the beach after a chat with his mother, and Ringo stopped by to talk about bubblehut life. Atton and Sparkle returned from their adventures in a different part of space--still strange to say--and readjusted through alcohol and pizza. They could be Avengers. Dani decorated the horses with ribbons for the Fourth of July--sorry, horses, I bet you didn't really appreciate that--and Mary dealt with a plumbing problem on the seventh floor that leaked all the way down to five. Maybe she should've wished for a competent plumber?

That's everything that happened yesterday! Have a safe week, everyone.

*sounds of squirrels singing Happy Birthday badly*

Oh, a cake? Really, you didn't have to. My birthday was yesterday, anyway--no, don't set off that--

*sounds of fireworks exploding again*

Good morning, everyone. Is it comfortable sleeping in those bubble things? They look kind of fun...

*chittering*

Right. Onto the news.

Classes are over for the week, so the only thing happening up at the school were young adult novels giggling at Lucille in the library. Y'know, that's never going to be normal to repeat. Hyacinthe was packing in his room and turned into an actual flower--

--not getting less strange, here, Fandom.

In town, Dani raced through her chores so that she would have time to race her horse on a planetoid. Gunther cheered Mary up after she learned a New York hotel shut down, and Eliot was dealing with Parker and Hardison having turned into a ferret and a teddy bear over at the diner. Is this sort of thing contagious? Am I going to wake up and have turned into a --

*chittering*

--why a golden retriever?

*chittering*

--or fuzzy duckling?

*chittering*

You know, I'm sorry I asked. Tony and Eliot bonded over how much they both disliked the day we all had to tell the entire truth, and how it's possible to hug Tamsin and survive it. Bet she doesn't want the rest of us to know that.

And that's all I've got today, everyone. Stay safe on the planetoid, okay?

Good morning, everyone. It's beautiful outside today--perfect running weather.

*grumbly chittering*

Look, I don't make you run. If you'd stop being so invasive, you could just let me run alone.

*extensive chittering*

...I don't think I needed to know Leroy felt that way about my shirts. So I'm gonna move on. In classes, Music Appreciation didn't have a class, but they did have free CDs they could take. Flight and Flying explored the tacky fun of a ship named the Errant Venture, and Jaina made Anakin have fun despite himself. Extreme PE got to drive very fast cars--sounds fun--and Building Healthy Relationships talked about boundaries.

The dorms were quiet, and in town Bucky was up to his eyeballs in green jellybeans at the candy shop, which was only a little hilarious. Tony got an earful about the difficulty of fixing a shipment, Ezra got himself a job, and I got threatened with having to buy half of the jellybeans. Speaking of supply problems, Mary has a massive shipment of chocolate hazelnut spread at the hotel...but that would taste awful with lime jellybeans, so never mind that initial idea. Eliot was beyond annoyed by his musical-singing diner staff, and Vic's attempt with an apology sandwich only kind of worked because Eliot wasn't impressed with the sandwich. Isn't it the thought that counts, though? Finally, Dani spent her day ogling the firefighters from the stables--

*squirrelly attempts at wolf-whistling*

--which apparently was a great idea according to the squirrels. On that slightly disturbing note, I'm all out of notes, so I'm gonna take advantage of the weather and go rock climbing! Stay safe, Fandom.

Good morning, everyone, Steve Rogers here to report on what happened yesterday. I feel like I should be saying "Dateline" every time I start this or something...

*beep-be-beep noises*

Thanks, Leroy, that really helps set the mood.

In classes yesterday, Music Appreciation talked about cathartic music--I really am sorry about the wedding, guys, by the way--and Flight class went down to the planet of the week to fly speeder bikes. Extreme PE learned about rappelling down mountains head first, which sounds amazing, maybe I'll do that after radio. I need to get in my daily run anyway....and Healthy Relationships learned about how to make problems not all about you.

Wade, sounds like you might be in trouble, buddy.

The dorms were quiet, and in town, Tony picked up a new employee named Peridot at the shop. PeriDOT? PeriDOH? Hope I got it right, either way. Alluka was working on her rollerskate things at Demon Marcus when Dante came by to talk about the wedding and then more broadly about how people treat Alluka. At the stables, Dani was excited to explore the new planet, and at the Devil's Nest, Jack was having trouble with suppliers who weren't all that thrilled with all of our interdimensional travel. Eric offered to threaten 'em for him, and I'm...just gonna assume he meant that in the hypothetical.

*squirrelly snickers*

What do you mean by "newb," Leroy? I don't think that's even a word. Finally, Mary was eating jar after jar of peanut butter at the hotel while glaring at Gunther, and I'm going to assume there's some kind of backstory there that I know nothing about. That's it for the radio! Have a safe rest of the week, everyone, especially if you are off exploring a new planet...which no, hasn't gotten less fun to say.

Good morning everyone, and I hope your Decoration Day--sorry, Memorial Day--was meaningful. I spent mine in DC giving speeches, which was...not my favorite thing. Seems like most of you tried to chew through the last weekend's experiences, which might have been the same amount of painful, really.

In classes, Music Appreciation watched a movie about a cabaret, and Alluka shared her stuffed elephant with Dante, who complimented her drawings. Flight and Flying flew clawcraft, which I'm assuming aren't giant blue crabs but that's kinda what I'm picturing anyway. Maybe lobsters? Extreme PE also watched a movie and Building Healthy Relationships was just canceled.

In the dorms, Dante sent out a text asking for company and Ada and Isabela stop by and decide to forget about the weekend through drinking, which is a terrible coping strategy. Trying running instead. Or boxing. Or Crossfit! Ringo distracted herself by working on her AirTreks, which are--

*chittering*

Okay, the closest I can figure are "rollerskates but better," but my rodent-language skills are still basically non-existent. It was interesting enough to get Rufus' attention, in any case.

In town, Hannibal and Jono tried to sort out how many children they'd had over the weekend and why Hannibal had been a vampire.

*long pause*

You know, I'm just not going to comment. Maybe the kids who were drinking had a point. Alluka and her elephant were hanging out in Demon Marcus until Sparkle came by and helped her build an outfit around a pair of bat shoes. I hope it means "with bats on them" rather than "made out of" but fashion trends are weird. Eliot was in a mood at the diner after fielding calls from old military buddies all day. I absolutely understand how you feel, Eliot. Finally, Mary was mad that the hotel staff wasn't more upset that she'd ceased to exist over the weekend. Can't really blame you for that, either, Mary.

Have a good, uneventful day, and kids? Water and aspirin for your headaches.

Good morning, everyone. It's Steve Rogers back again with the news of yesterday, so let's get to it, all right?

In classes, Music Appreciation talked about war songs. I'm really, really hoping most of you can't relate. They discussed songs being related to particular wars, and then Gratuity asked Jono what Disney was--apparently in her universe it's known as Happy Mouse. Flight and Flying tried to keep a freighter in the air, Extreme PE went cave diving, and Healthy Relationships had Deadpool as a substitute teacher. Why do I feel like that last one was the most dangerous? They watched a movie and then Ada explained a bit about the world to Hyacinthe, who didn't know what a movie, a phone, or body glitter was.

I would have probably skipped the body glitter part.

The dorms were quiet, but in town, Dani went on a horse-related online shopping spree, Jones read about Alexander Hamilton, who I did not know, so I'm nipping that age-related joke in the bud, Mary did a pillowcase inventory and came up 29 extra--

*guilty-sounding chittering*

I'm not even going to ask, guys. Eliot was putting the final touches on the tasting menu for Jono and Hannibal's reception, Hanna fought against the depressing Music Appreciation music today with some peppy tunes at the music store, and Kenzi was making flaming drinks while fighting with people on the internet. JARVIS tries to make me stop fighting with people on the internet, but it's tough because they're so so wrong. Jessica was a little wary about the fiery drinks but tried one anyway and caught Kenzi up with her rather adventurous life recently.

And that's all I've got today. Be safe, everyone.

*snickering*

Hey, I'm allowed to base jump without a parachute. I can survive it--

Good morning, everyone, Steve Rogers here with the latest in class and town news.

*chittering*

Leroy, I'm not going to take my shirt off. That's demeaning and more than a little creepy of you to ask, frankly. In classes yesterday, Musical Appreciation talked about songs that reminded them of home. Alluka apologized for not getting to work on account of the clothing being ridiculous this weekend, and I have to say just about anywhere else and that excuse would get you nowhere. Dante razzed Jono about his taste in music and walked out with CDs of stuff to try. Sounds a bit like being friends with Tony...Flight and Flying flew ties?

*chittering*

T-I-Es? Spaceships. Something like that, anyway, which are apparently not the safest crafts ever, even if everyone flew in atmosphere. Or perhaps especially if? Ahsoka found time to yell at Anakin for neglecting to mention he had grandchildren, and Tali wanted to have a few nasty words with whoever designed the spaceship. Frank wanted Jaina to admit they were called TIEs because they look like bow ties. Extreme PE went skydiving--sounds fun! Can we just drop in some time and participate? Building Healthy Relationships talked about the importance of communication and then split up to talk about who would pay for groceries and how. Good idea. Buck, don't think I never noticed how you paid for way more than your share.

In the dorms, Dipper was catching up on TV and comics in a common room, and make sure you check your email because the invitation to Hannibal and Jono's wedding was sent out yesterday.

And in town, Alluka spent the day reorganizing the shelves at Demon Marcus, Mary was putting up some misplaced clothing out for possible donation at the hotel, and at Luke's Eliot tried to get the cook and dishwasher to put on clothing other than just an apron. There's a mental image that's gonna stick. Vic stopped in because of the fake health code complaints and Tamsin tried to explain Eurovision--

*chittering*

Which Leroy says will take more than a Bloody Mary.

Finally, Rey flew her new hovercraft through town and gave Mayday a ride, and I'm jealous because that sounds like a lot of fun. That's all from here, have a safe, clothed week everyone.

*chittering*

If I start losing shirts, I'm coming for you first, Leroy.

Good morning, everyone! I'm Steve Rogers with the news from yesterday.

Classes started back up again, and we started with Music Appreciation, where students had to come up with songs with interesting musical introductions, and then talked about the music that Dr. Lecter and Mr. Starsmore had played for them. Flight and Flying also did introductions--names and their favorite thing to fly--before learning about something called an X-Wing and taking it through an asteroid field or some kind of trench run. Extreme PE had to choose between skiing and snowboarding after introducing themselves with the most foolhardy thing they'd ever done. Bucky, I'm not looking for suggestions about me from you or from you either, Stark. Jalian needed some help to figure out the difference between skiing and snowboarding--I think it's the number of pieces of wood attached to your feet, right? And Vanessa--I met you! Hello!--told her Relationships class that she had no idea what to teach them. That's one approach, for sure. The students helped her out a bit by telling her what they wanted to learn about.

In the dorms, Lucille has recovered from being a moth--new people, that will soon sound less weird, I promise. Ringo visited and told her that she'd missed an entire week, including the picnic, and classes had started up again. I know that feeling of disorientation.

In town, Vanessa and Deadpool discovered that they've stolen a cop's apartment.

*heavy sigh*

Moving on. Tony put some projects on the back-burner because Jessica hasn't returned yet--sounds like something to worry about, maybe--Alluka tried to come up with an outfit that would be iconic forever at Demon Marcus, and Eliot had to suffer through his co-workers awwing about their mothers via Facebook posts at the diner until Kanan came in, lured by the promise of free food for newcomers. Kenzi was also offering the newcomers drink specials at Caritas, with a bigger discount for the teachers, which is very nice of her.

And finally, Clint and Kitty visited the nearby planet...that's never going to be weird to say...and stopped at the Blue Recluse Inn and discussed whether they had a non-dirty way of touch-- I didn't need to read that. Ever. Why did you give me that note?

*chittering*

I am not adorable when I blush, Leroy. That's all I have for this morning, everyone. Enjoy your classes today.

Morning everyone, Steve Rogers here with your news of yesterday. It's pretty quiet right now with graduates getting ready to leave, and I wish you all the very best of luck in your future endeavors. Hopefully they're safe and alien-invasion free.

Classes are over until next week, but over in the dorms, Dante was stocking his new fridge, which had been Kathy's old fridge, and Alana stopped by to grab a drink and poke a little bit at how not-emotional Dante was being about that. It's totally okay to be contained about your emotions, Dante. Nothing wrong with it.

...and I'm being stared at by squirrels. I am not going to be judged by rodents.

Finally, in town, Alluka brought all of her stuffed animals with her to Demon Marcus, which worried Dante slightly when he came in to buy more shirts. He also had the unhappy task of explaining to Alluka that Kathy had passed away and would not be coming back. Mabel also stopped by and got to deal with the after-effects of Alluka learning about Kathy. They eventually agree that Kathy could stay with them if it turns out that she's not dead, which is...well...one way of coping, sure. At the diner, Eliot was dealing with the busboy wanting to be promoted to busman...sure...and Jaina--I don't know that name--was beating up a dummy at the gym because she's stuck here for the summer. Sounds like someone I should introduce myself to.

*chittering*

I do not have a type. She met up with Tahiri, who's on her way back to her home galaxy and they commiserated about getting stuck places and how folks back home don't understand why they visit here. And finally, I got a new uniform yesterday, which is not as exciting as the notes seem to think it is. Then I went to New York with Tony and got a pastrami sandwich or five.

*chittering*

Stop judging. And that's all I've got today. Stay safe, everyone.

[personal profile] heroic_jawline
Good morning, everyone. Hope your days are a little quieter today without the sounds of small people flinging themselves off of high surfaces.

*chittering*

Apparently that was mostly confined to my house. Oh well. In classes, Computer Science got to program the Danger Shop for their final, and Kitty brought her daughter Chrissie with her to class. Practical Phys Ed had Fred telling the students he used to be part of a group called the Thunderbolts--is that a superhero group or rock band? I need to look it up--and then run through something that, according to the notes, "totally wasn't a bank robbery, really."

*long pause*

You can't tell, but I'm looking pretty dubious right now. And Lying wrapped up the year by assuring the students and all of their progeny that lying is really, really bad. Good. And Lito's son Diego left him a drawing he did. That's really sweet. I have one Yeehaw Cowboy left me--

*snickering*

Now listen here, Leroy, that kid can have whatever name he wants to have--

*five minutes of hold music as Steve rants at a squirrel, sorry kids*

ANYWAY. In the dorms, Dante was getting taking to the cleaners by his daughter Janie in poker, and then Janie got to go for a walk while Anders ranted a bit about stuff in Kathy's universe just in time to get a message that her world is now no longer reachable.

...that's a thing that can happen? Ada brought Janie back and then Ada and Dante talked about their relationship in the future a bit.

In town, Hannibal made breakfast for anyone who would be stopping by the house, and Jono teased him for thinking quiche was kid food. In my day, there wasn't kid food. There was just food, and you ate it.

*chittering*

No, I don't want to chase people off my lawn. Why would you think that? I was down at the rocky section of the beach teaching the boys that came to visit Tony about climbing and falling correctly, and then it was time to say goodbye to the kids. Anders promised Carys he'd hug Kathy the next time he saw her, Lexi promised Kitty and Clint she'd be back next year and Clint said they'd get to work making her...Barton. Did not need to hear that. Chrissie thanked them for the weekend and Clint passed his regards on to her father...that sounds like a...difficult family dynamic...but then they hug, so I guess it turned out all right. Lila and Cooper were sent back to Clint and their non-Kitty mother with a reminder that this wasn't Clint's fault. Zaq told Anakin and Obi-Wan that he wanted to stay and they reminded him that he was almost old enough to come to school here, and Jarik was more than happy to leave her teenaged annoying parents behind here.

And finally it was Eliot's birthday at Caritas, complete with their broods of kids because if you're going to have a birthday party, you should include everyone. Spike and Jono were singing together in English and Spanish, and Kenzi was serving alcohol and milkshakes behind the bar. Kenzi met Tamsin's daughter Dagney, which was a good thing because in Dagney's world Kenzi's been raising her since Tamsin's dead.

Well, that's awful. Ada--a new one, not the normal Ada--tried to flirt sangria out of Kenzi, and the lounge was all decorated for the birthday party. Eliot's Riley didn't get him a present because she didn't know it was his birthday but Spike offered to sing happy birthday...which explained the singing earlier. Spike's also happy to see Ada, who he knows from his version of the future.

Does everyone else get raging headaches this weekend trying to figure all of this out? Parker and Emmy have presents for Eliot, Riley's disturbed that Eliot's so old, Ada-not-the-student brought cake and got confused by Pinkie Pie--it happens to all of us--and Pinkie didn't bring her party cannon but did bring a pastry set and a giant life-sized Eliot made from balloons.

Stark, if you're listening, I don't want one for my birthday. At all. Ever.

Riley's also confused by the balloon, Eliot chose to focus on the pastry set, and Emmy's just excited about the pony. Hardison gave Eliot a key in a ring box--that seems kind of mean--and Parker was excited that Hardison got the present delivered while Eliot was distracted. Kitty made a brief stop in but she had four kids at the house, and trust me, I know how crazy that was.

And that's everything. Go to bed early tonight. You deserve it.

Good morning, everyone. It's an excellent day to go for a run.

*annoyed chittering*

You didn't have to try to keep up with me, Leroy. It's not my fault you didn't stretch out properly first. It was a pretty quiet day yesterday, so let's get through the notes and I can try to get in a quick workout at the gym before head--

*chittering*

Yeah, even after my run. It's important to be healthy.

*squirrel grumbles*

Since you're a squirrel, I'm gonna take "nuts" as a compliment. In classes, Computer Science stopped hackers from attacking bank accounts--good work--while Lying learned to lie with statistics.

*chittering*

Apparently there's a hilarious joke about politicians and lying with statistics that I'm missing right now. And Phys Ed watched a movie about baseball. Did it include the designated hitter rule? Because I hate that thing.

Gwen was selling tickets for prom in the lobby--don't forget to pick 'em up--and Eliot was in a very good mood at the diner, which has the squirrels completely confused. Alluka was at Demon Marcus also in a very good mood. Maybe there was an attack of sugar high on th town yesterday, so be suspicious of people in unusually good moods, I guess.

That's all I've got for today, so everyone stay safe until next week, all right?
heroic_jawline: (Default)
[personal profile] heroic_jawline
Good morning everyone, Steve Rogers here again to tell you about what everyone was up to yesterday in what is hopefully a professional and non-invasive way.

Leroy, stop looking shifty.

In classes, Computer Science presented their super suits--hope you got photos to show to a Tony or two, Kitty--Lying finally got around to discussing the ethics of lying and when people felt it was okay to lie, and Practical Phys Ed played paintball, which I'm not familiar with. It sounds fun, though.

In the dorms, Gwen ordered a bunch of pizza, which is why Chinese food got delivered instead. The delivery guys are just messing with us now. Last night I ended up with Wakandan instead of Thai, which was...not my favorite.

*chittering*

Well, I'm glad you like Wakandan, Leroy. In town, Alluka was taking care of Mabel, who's now a bird and apparently that part isn't all that newsworthy or something? at the clothing shop. Ohhhh, it's news because Mabel turned human and was left momentarily without clothing. It was good luck she was in the clothing store, then, huh? And at the diner, the kitchen staff was fighting over a new tool that spiralizes vegetables.

...what a time to be alive. And that's all the news I have today. Everyone stay safe and...unanimalized...and I'll talk to you next week.
heroic_jawline: (Default)
[personal profile] heroic_jawline
Good morning, everyone. It's Steve Rogers again, with your news from yesterday.

*annoying beep-bi-dip dateline radio sound effect*

Leroy, stop that.

In classes, Computer Science was run by simulation because Mrs. Barton is on her honeymoon--congratulations again to you both--and Phys Ed played an advanced form of tag. I didn't even know there was an advanced form of tag. Isabela used the time to flirt with Kathy, which I'm pretty sure doesn't surprise any of you.

The hoppin' town made up for the quiet dorms, so let's get started there. Alluka was at Demon Marcus post-kidnapping and got a lot of visitors checking up on her. Anders stopped in first with cookies, and then Sparkle who brought by a stuffed duck to make up for how Alluka missed Easter. Ada was in the junkyard--I'd judge your hang out but I played in alleys as a kid, so I can't--and Dante wandered by to see what she was up to. Making something out of a pile of tires, for those of you wondering. The diner smelled like Tiger Balm because Eliot twisted his knee--been there--and Kathy was shocked to learn that Eliot's almost 40. Hardison and Eliot got into an argument about whether Eliot getting hurt was a sign he should look into a new line of work, and there's an argument that I am absolutely not get involved in.

But, pre-emptively, Bucky, shut up. Hannibal came in to talk about wedding food and stayed to offer painkillers, which Eliot turned down. Yeah, I wouldn't take painkillers that someone just carried with them myself. Seems a little hinky. Parker's concern somehow turned into a discussion about a lack of spleen transplants.

*chittering*

I'm not sure "because Parker" really explains anything. Lucille was at the park watching the birds when Cassandra spotted her and stayed to talk about the book Lucille had loaned her, which was apparently a hit. Hanna was listening to new music as she sorted mail at the post office, and Kenzi had chocolate-themed drinks on special last night, and I bet you're all sorry you missed 'em.

That's it for yesterday! Have a safe today, everyone.
