"Thank you. Er...no, thank you. It's a bit early for me to be drinking." (muttered) "or up at all."
*long indrawn breath*
"Right. Jonathan Sims here. Yesterday morning the sun rose in vibrant and surreal colors, shimmering ominously over the island. Suits and dresses appeared from nowhere in everybody's closet, and fancy golf carts appeared on the lawn for the students, while the adults got a sensible Honda Accord each... (distantly) wait, we all have cars now? ... Of course we do. (back to the mic) We still can't bring them here, but I suppose that will come in handy on the mainland. For those of you who can drive in America, anyway.
"Every student was convinced they were turning sixteen, regardless of their actual age or birthday, and what they saw in their closets and on the lawn was an illusion of the perfect party accoutrements.
"Belle spoke to the empty air in the third floor common room while having breakfast, and Tahani threatened to throw herself from the roof if her conditions were not met. Alexis declared that nobody else could have a party if she was, and she and Belle argued in front of dead air. Troy also argued against concurrent parties, and he and Belle had it out over the proper treatment of books. Jo enjoyed bragging about her outfit and party until finding out about all the others going on.
