Hey everyone, this is Clint Barton with your news and weekly commiseration over what the hell the island is up to now. Let's jump right in and see how people have been dealing with things: at the school, the Mid-Century Cookbook class got to make a stuffed crown roast of frankfurters, which sounds like it might not be completely terrible depending on the "stuffed" part. Wilderness Survival practiced surviving in Central Park, which I imagine meant there was a lot of dodging domesticated squirrels. The Your Plan is Now on Fire students got to try mock Jell-O shots in the Danger Shop, for science, and the actual Fun With Science class learned about fixing leaks and improving structural integrity. Let's hope no one needs those skills too much in the future.
Over in town, Amaya had most of the leaks taken care of at the Forge, and Wayne spent most of his time at Syndulla Scrap moving super rusty metal to the bitey parts of the yard. Hey, one small benefit to all the extra water, yeah? There weren't as many animals at Furnado when Zack checked, but at least the ones that were there were safe, and at Luke's, Mitsutada found the staff holding a contest to eat a helmet full of seafood. That sounds intriguing if they made sure the thing was clean first, but if I think that, it probably means it's a bad idea. Caritas was thankfully in good shape when Kitty got there, and she was surprised that Kanan came in for his usual visit, but he happened to be out looking around, despite having told his students to stay inside and stay safe. I don't think many people ever listen to "stay inside and stay safe," which is exactly what he and Kitty talked about, so ha! Rosa also came by, and she and Kitty talked about how they've been dealing with the island's crap in general, and about how much less fun this sort of thing is when you have a tiny baby to protect.
Speaking of that tiny baby, that's all the notes for today, so I'm getting out of here and going home. I know it'll probably be ignored, but I feel like I have to tell you all to stay safe and don't do anything dumb. At least try!
