Gooooood morning, Fandom! And welcome to the Radio! It's Friday morning, so, yet again, you're here with me, Sir Graham of Daventry, to read to you all these nice little notes the squirrels scribbled down about all the fun and interesting things people have been doing around the island! Let's get into it!
Starting, as always with the School! Let's Play Some Sports! didn't actually play any sports, but they did go to watch a basketball game, and Nell asked about how Gladio found out about the nifty device they had to help Ignis 'watch' the game, too. Relaxing for Dummies explored getting massages and taking a nap, while Health Education was all about stress relief. And Belle was dealing with the usual bouts of swooping bats, wrestling gremlins, and mysterious wet spots in the Library.
We, as you might have come to expect, have no notes for the Dorms except for the note telling me there are no notes for the Dorms, but over in the Town, we've got notes aplenty! Little Bot inspired Steph to lean into some space-themed games over at the Maaaaaagpie Empooooor~rium, Liz was working from home today instead of the Photo Hut because she wasn't feeling very well, but Prompto was there to help her feel better with snuggles and tea! Over at Pick Your Poison, Detective Watts stopped in to meet Adrian and get a refill on his hair pomade, in that order, after having lunch with with Steven over at the Museum.
(Pasta and cupcakes, by the way, if any of you were as curious about what as I was!)
Our squirrel on the street followed the Supper Club out to Harbor Tandoor, an Indian restaurant on the mainland, so they could explore some local tastes of India! Liliana and Rey plotted to perhaps see what other people ordered to sway their own decisions on what to try from the menu, before debating whether or not Rey going off to help a friend train after the school trip counted as work, and then Liliana got to know about Miss Bennet's experience with spices in her food. Rey and Miss Bennet talked about how Barbados was similiar, but also not, to where Miss Bennet is from, which also became a topic of conversation between Miss Bennet and Ignis, as well. Ignis gave Rey a run-down of what to expect from Indian food and offered to make more of it when he worked at the diner on Tuesdays, and he gave Liliana a run-down of how the basketball game for Gladio's class went! Rey had a gift from Barbados from Adrian, who asked about how the trip went, which lead to an offer to help her learn how to swim....as someone who learned how to swim here, thank you, Charlie!!!, I highly recommend it, Rey! I mean, water you wading for, anyway? Learning would be a real stroke of genius!
Miss Bennet and Adrian discussed how the benefits of drinking seawater are greatly overexaggerated, Rey and Captain Flint talked about navigating death traps, while Miss Bennet and Captain Flint rallied themselves bravely for the incoming spice, a feature that reminded Liliana of the food of a place called Khaladesh, as she explained to Captain Flint once the suppering had begun.
It was also the First Thursday of the Month, and so if you didn't know already, that means the monthy Open Mic Night at Groovy Tunes! Charlie, Belle, Arden, myself, and of course Stewart were all there to check it out, and me and Belle talked about Triumph's plans to eventually give it a go! Not this month, though! This month, it was Charlie and Stewart on the stage, and they did awesome, as usual! Don't believe me? Come check it out next month and see...and hear!...for yourself!
And, finally, to round us out as we usually do, we hit up the Devil's Nest, where Thor was researching new recipes to try for his specials board!
With that, then, we conclude our broadcast for the Radio this Friday! I really hope you enjoyed listening! Thanks for taking the time to do so, and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and I'll catch you on the next one! Bye!!
