Good morning, dear islanders, it is I, Miss Lydia Bennet, and I can't imagine I shall have too many notes to read today, as I have difficulty imagining too many people venturing out of doors what with the damage yesterday's rain would do to one's person--what? What concert? In the rain of dye? Well, I stand corrected.
Also I have just recalled that the squirrels are not above spying upon people in the privacy of their own homes, and they are looking rather colorful today, I must say. Let's get started with the school, shall we? In Romancing for Dummies, Dr. Navaan taught her students about flirtation, and Miss Khan attempted to impress upon Mr. Kestis--Good Lord, Kamala, why would you want him to think that?! Cultural Appropriation went to the opening ceremonies of the Olympic Games--whatever that is--in Paris. Hopefully the real one this time. Hitting Things with Big, Sharp Sticks learned some more techniques of solo swordplay--why are you snickering?--and Ms. Ingram and Mr. Sims practiced together before Ms. Ingram spoke to Mr. Amicitia. Kitchen Design According to Nancy Meyers watched another film which one must suppose had a kitchen in it, and Big Thinking, Deep Drinking talked about being one's best self.
Nothing for the dorms, thank you, so we move on to the town, where Dr. Navaan came up with a solution to her problems at the clinic, whilst at Turtle & Canary free massages were being offered with purchase. I would think free umbrellas would have been more useful. Mr. Stewart was doing something I don't understand at all with music at Groovy Tunes, whilst at Stark Industries Miss Mariner worked on a project. At Needful Things, Dr. Quinn, it seems, quite liked the rain, although at Pizza Planet Mr. Raiden was having difficulties getting one of his employees to come in due to it.
Next I shall move along to the park, where one Miss Addams was giving a concert. There was, of course, an area for the audience to gather, such as Miss Gale, whose shirt Dr. Quinn complimented, and Mr. Skywalker the younger, who his brother-in-law Mr. Wiggins the elder asked if he was planning on coming to his wedding tomorrow. Which would be today, so congratulations, sir! Miss Smith was in attendance with a koala, whatever that is, which Mr. Stewart remarked upon. Miss Hanson had an umbrella, which Mr. Zane belatedly realized would have been a good idea--indeed, sir. Mr. Winchester and Dr. Quinn discussed the weather and the food on offer, whilst Miss Khan and Miss Zarrin discussed music, a quite natural conversation topic at a concert.
There were also trucks serving food, where Mr. Wiggins the younger and Mr. Skywalker the younger discussed their own wedding, which apparently did not involve a concert. I think that sort of thing is mostly reserved for royalty, really. Ah, and then Mr. Wiggins the younger received a phone call from a Ms. Karla. Miss Blackstone and Dr. Quinn discussed the appeal of food served upon sticks, and Dr. Quinn and Mr. LeBeau discussed the weather. There was also a booth selling branded merchandise, manned by Mr. Zane, which Dr. Quinn and Miss Tanizaki both stopped by. Backstage, Mr. Wiggins the elder stopped by to speak to Miss Addams before she gave her concert, and then after the show Mr. Wiggins caught up with her again.
And finally, I've one last note, which is that at her warehouse, Miss Skywalker beseeched the woodchucks to be, quote, "normal," end quote, which seems about as likely as gooseberries in winter, although I suppose you probably could have gooseberries in winter here, so do cling to hope, Miss Skywalker. With that, I shall leave you, dear listeners, until next week, when hopefully the weather will not be out to destroy my clothing. Farewell!
