afraid_of_marshmallowsYeah, yeah, okay, I'm back. At least this time, I'm fully dressed for the cold, because I didn't assume that the birds' urgent summons were a sign something was wrong. Sorry to anyone out there who has a genuine emergency, but people only show up after getting fully dressed, snagging a thermos of tea, and leisurely sauntering out to you. Blame the birds and squirrels for crying wolf for broadcasts too often.
*indignant animal noises*
I'm just saying, the squirrels can write. You could carry a little note that says something like 'You've been selected for broadcaster duty, please follow us to the station' or whatever and then there'd be no confusion at all, would there?
*a moment of silence and then a lot of animal noises*
Wow, okay okay! I get it, sheesh! Anyway, good morning Fandom, this is Arden Finch and apparently I'm your new Tuesday morning broadcaster because a bunch of animals said so. That's right, I've been pressganged by rodents and I'm not sure what that says about my life, apart from that I've lost control of it.

...Oh. Ah. I see. Well, I've just been told that I wasn't actually their first choice for this slot, but the other options were 'too scary,' and I was 'safe,' so I guess I'll just...sit with that for a bit post-broadcast. Thanks. Hey, wait are you Leroy? Yeah, I kinda figured. Your reputation precedes you, my guy, and that ain't a compliment.
( Anyway, let's move onto the news before I end up throwing hands at a day-drinking squirrel. )
