Good lord, it's December already. And if you couldn't tell that from the calendar, I suppose the icing sugar snow would be a dead giveaway. Or the bears yesterday. I actually rather enjoy the bears.

*chittering*

*mumbles* They give good hugs, all right? Ahem.

Apart from that, everything that happened yesterday was in town. Connor and Cutter decorated for the holiday and got a bit sappy about their first Christmas together, which I suppose does merit it. Arden got woken by one of the bears - don't worry, they're a benign Fandom oddity - and apologised about its habitat, which honestly we probably all should. Rey worked at Stark's while a bear hung out with the gremlins, and the other Stark was in the park, where Boc was in a tree for fear of the bears, despite Stark's reassurances.

And in the evening, Octavia and Lucifer had a date night, despite the food not coming out as planned, and Steven and Detective Watts discussed the holiday while baking.

And then today, we've got that snow, which is a reminder to always have a good umbrella this month, as this probably won't be the last of the odd weather.

*chittering*

Yes, of course. Come along. Have a lovely week, everyone.

Good morning to all of you, denizens of Fandom! You just heard "Another Universe" by Angelo de Augustine, right here on WTFH: Fandom's one and only founded-by-an-actual-pirate radio station. So I'm told, anyway.

Starting off with School notes, Evolutionary Science for Beginners discussed the way researchers study and analyze evolutionary science, Practical Folklore covered the fae and how to avoid getting trapped in a deal with themm but the squirrels are more fixated on the literal actual blackboard Jon was writing on in the classroom. Dude, I think that thing is older than me. And in Try Not to Die, Anakin took a cue from our traditional December surprise-of-the-day countdown and had people discuss when situations are hard to adapt to.

In the Dorms, there -- wait, what? For real?

...nah. Just wanted to see if I could get someone to spittake.

In a very powdered sugar-covered Town Prompto was getting really into the holiday spirit, decorating the Photo Hut and singing carols while he put together gift idea displays. Liz's appearance apparently inspired him -- aww -- to come up with the idea of old film for gift ribbons. Summer was getting the stink-eye from Apu at Turtle and Canary for not observing Wear Brown Shoes Day, an unfun situation hopefully balanced out by the texting she was doing. Rosa was doing the very important job of watching her dog chase her own tail all over the Diaz & Ass. office, and Nell conceded the battle over the Covent Garden Flowers floor's cleanliness to the powdered sugar snow. At least Vi had Little Bot to help with that at the Magpie Emporium, which is good because the plushie displacer beasts would have tracked that ev.Ery. Where.

Powdered sugar snow wasn't enough for Steve to let the troopers at the Trooper Station off the hook for their morning run. Ew, that had to end up so stickily. Raiden decided to counter the sugar with some amazing sounding savory pizzas at Pizza Planet, including a French onion one that I am now mad about missing.

At Nell's usual Monday night hangout there were red velvet cupcakes and noodle casserole, and Gladio showing up with Christmas sodas and getting kisses that may or may not have been related to the soda. Liliana was reportedly already on a sugar high when she and Ignis showed up, and Gladio thanked her for the Halloween pictures he and Nell both got from her. Ignis was also all covered in sugar snow, the perfect excuse for Liliana to give him grief about being sweet. Nell was excited to see him this week, and also excited about the sugar doughnuts he brought. Which were sugared before going out into the snow, for the record. Watts had apple cinnamon rolls with him when he showed up, and probably went home afterward with food for Steven, courtesy of Nell.

Meanwhile at the Devil's Nest, Tiny was... using the powdered sugar to garnish drinks. Dear god.

I'm so glad I save the Clinic to report on last. Stabby the Crab lore is a much better note to end on the Tiny-Related Horrors. Stark was all sticky with powdered sugar when he came in, the nurses were super unsympathetic about it, and Stabby was in a decorative-snowflake-destroying kind of mood.

Okay, maybe not as much better of an ending note than I usually expect, but still. This is Steph, signing off until next time. Bye!
