Tony: …no, this is not my day. I did this yesterday.

*chittering*

Tony: Yes, but--

*more chittering*

Raiden: No, I–guys, I have pizzas to make, I have to get ready for Labor Day, I don’t have time for–oh, hey, Mr. Stark.

Tony: Tony, please. I see you've been kidnapped too.

Raiden: Just a little bit. I thought they were hungry at first, but it turns out they’re just hungry for gossip! Ha. Oh, are these the notes?

Tony: There was a picnic yesterday. Don't worry, it'll go fast. I'll start. Let's get the small stuff out of the way with Miguel showcasing food that couldn't be at the picnic over at Lukes.

Raiden: It’s been so hot lately. That was considerate of him.

Tony: Fall cannot come fast enough. But most folks were at the Welcome Picnic. We have a new felt-based person on the island with Gonzo, much to the confusion of Jon before giving Gonzo advice on who to talk to in the administration. Charlie learned about how Gonzo was also a student here. Sam was not pleased to see Gonzo here as they know each other, it would seem. Ghanima and her baby were greeted by Lana who caught up with her on why they were here. Cutter and Connor were pleased to be teaching again and discussed future plans there. Summer and Stark discussed the food and how Summer was a faculty advisor for one of our new students.

Raiden: Oh, Summer’ll be great at that!

Tony: Prompto and Liz spent their time at the picnic discussing if Noctra was better suited for teaching or not. It'd certainly be more adorable. Lana checked on Atton with coffee as they confirmed he hadn't decided against co-teaching with her. Jon offered Jo an open ear should she need to talk about things. Very kind of him. Graham and Charlie compared classes this semester and were crushed to learn they would need to socialize outside of them. Nell settled in with the food before Lana asked about how things were going for her. They were going very well, it would seem. Speaking of which, Gladio also stopped to spend some time with Nell. Wow, that is a lot of glitter there.

Raiden: We love glitter!

Tony: Maybe less so all over our hands… Gladio also spoke with Jon about his cat--inherited from someone else--and how they were both teaching this semester. Some more willingly than others. Graham very kindly put a pillow under Gray's sleeping head. Belle ended up being Summer's student to advise and was pleased to discuss what classes she was taking. Raiden here and Jane nearly jinxed us all, but managed to knock on wood before we were invaded by something. Arden asked after some sweet tea to the confusion of Jon, who did his best to explain things about this island. Much like how Jane did as her faculty advisor. Though it seemed to be pretty confusing all around. Which seems about par for the course here.

Raiden: Over at the Midnight Manor--isn't that the house that kidnapped people?

*chittering*

Raiden: So, uh, Marc was at the--at the uh, house to see if anyone wanted to, uh, move in. And he got a phone call from someone named Duke looking to reserve a room for someone named Arden, who then showed up in person to do paperwork and tell Marc about her allergies. Gonzo wanted to move in, and Marc asked him if he was a god, which is...kind of a forward question there...uh, Illyana was also moving in--did anyone tell these people about the kidnapping and stuff?

*chittering*

Raiden: Oh, Illyana knows. Okay, good. Just checking. Anyway, she also moved in, and Marc and Steven welcomed her to the house. And, uh, the house also welcomed her. Because the house is alive. Oh, and Arden settled into her room and called someone.

Tony: And that's all we have! Thank god, I haven't had my third coffee of the morning yet.

Raiden: Oh, you definitely need that. And I’m starving.

Tony: Have a great first week of classes, folks!
