You just heard Dulcet Days with "honeybee," and this is WTFH.
Hey, it's Steph here. What's up, denizens of Fandom? Everybody dealing with the aftermath of our bunch of little visitors in their own ways?
*chittering*
I mean, sure, not dealing counts as... several different ways, actually. Hey, would you hand me those School notes, Leroy? Thanks.
So it's the last week of classes for the term and Life Skills never did get around to the unit on childcare because, you know, things happen and Summer had a couple of kids of her own who did not get to write a final class lesson plan about horrible things that can happen to you in space so... yay for a chill period of open discussion and/or coloring and LEGOs. Sensory Deprivation Combat Training did have a final of sorts -- and by that I mean that the class had to square off against Ignis and his temporary possible, extremely formidable future kid. In the dark. Like. You. Do.
As you might be able to guess from the potent sad face the intern porg is giving me -- because it's so potent I swear this mic is picking it up in the form of pure sound -- there are no Dorms notes, but there were a lot of people and their kids out in Town!
For instance. Nell opened up Covent Garden Flowers, all set with baked goods for any kid visitors... such as Lana and her kid Marshan, who got to play with the kittens and even got to give one of them belly scritches. That kid? Totally just won Monday. Eddie was at the Fire Station trying to get a bunch of baby raccoons to stop standing outside and staring at him and then meeting Travis and Stark's astronaut cosplaying kid Zach, who was disappointed he couldn't pet the raccoons. Over at the Trooper Station it was business and professionalism as always, with Steve and his kid Aoife office chair racing. Steve thought she was cheating, but my rodent reporter couldn't help editorializing, and put a note on here that she was just leveraging all the advantages she could give herself because his legs are a lot longer than hers.
At the Photo Hut, Prompto and his kid Trevor were working on yet more broken cameras from that one dude who has one skill and that is breaking cameras. A skill he apparently passed on to his weekend kid, so guess that kept them busy. Good thing Liz wanted to know what they wanted for lunch so she could order it.
*chittering*
What? Nobody needs to -- okay, ow, fine! Lunch was pizza and hot wings, because the squirrels didn't want their extra efforts at being nosy to go to waste so I'm reading the whole note. There, are you happy now?
*dubious chittering*
I'm choosing to interpret that as a yes. Rosa had her kid -- wait, really? RoboCop? Okay -- answering the Diaz & Ass. phones... and trolling the telemarketers, which I can totally get behind, hell yeah. Miguel brought sandwiches for everybody and approved of RoboCop's phone technique, and they weighed the merits of... kidnapping him because he's already old enough to take care of himself. Summer didn't have any kids to look after during her Turtle and Canary shift, which is just as well since she had Apu's eight kids underfoot, and the cheese panda's Babybel-pushing panda cub. And then Stark's small blue child Ziya, in search of chocolate to bring home because they don't have any there and oh my god I am so sorry. Also, they were gossiping about Stark a lot, which... uh, whoops if he wasn't supposed to know about that? Vi had Cerise with her at the Magpie Emporium, where Saffron has decided that she likes Vi's kid better than she likes me because of course she does, and Amber and I were taking advantage of the game lounge to keep ourselves entertained.
Raiden's theme at Pizza Planet was what I can only describe as things you would think of as belonging in an elementary school kid's lunchbox instead of on a pizza. Big surprise: Aoife is as enthusiastic about the weird-*BLEEP* pizzas as her dad is. If it helps, they were both relieved to find out that Raiden did not use the random shipment of cricket flour in any pizza crusts. Rey, who did not have any small visitors, wasn't so sure about the specials and wanted to know if Raiden was having fun with having more kids than usual in the restaurant. Spoiler: yes. Yes, he was. Jon and his kid Nyssa were at the Perk where they got to meet Gareth, who managed to get away from his parents apparently and then invited Nyssa to come over to the forge so they could... watch lobsters fight.
Speaking of lobsters. Have a slightly early Clinic update for the Crab Lore, because I refuse to waste this segue. Yes. Stabby had a half-lobster kid, Stabastian the Ninth. Because you know what, why not. And yes, Stark's kids Bixby and Cass barged in to... help? Eat donuts? Discuss donut abominations? Tell him this weekend is totally normal by their standards? Let's try all of the above.
And then there was the portal in the Preserve last night, for all the kids to go home. Cutter and Connor walked Tabby and Teddy back and kinda had a rough time of it -- oof, yeah. It does get surprisingly emotional.
Uh... good thing the Devil's Nest was open afterward? Convenient for anybody who wanted to booze their feelings away. Or anybody who wanted to check out a shirtless-as-usual Gladio, who got to hear all about the time Eric had a kid named after IKEA furniture sprung on him here. A completely valid reason to want to skip out on weekends like that one altogether. Stark came in looking for something strong, too, and wanted to know if Eric had any tiny visitors. I'm guessing from the weekend's reports that the answer is no.
Anyway, that's all I've got for you today, Fandom, so... take care of yourselves if you need to today, okay?
