Has anyone else noticed that there are a good deal of children about?
*chittering*
Oh. Oh, no thank you. Let's get this done as quickly as possible before any come for me.
At the school An Introduction to Zoology continued their lecture on ecosystems. Practical Engineering had a movie day. Nothing at all wrong with that! We had out dress rehearsal in Musical Theater. Phys Ed went with dancing as the subject with the obvious Prom as the reason for it. Jo had a suspiciously quiet day at the library.
Over in town Eddie with the hair was working all by himself at Fast Eddies as everyone was preparing for the dance. Graham worked on a game at the Magpie Emporium should the need arise at the dance. Well, one never knows. Watts was busy with practicing his writing at the Trooper Station. Rey was reading despite the best efforts of the woodchucks to distract her. Wanda enjoyed an iced coffee at The Perk. Annie stopped in and while their conversation started off awkwardly, they settled into talk of morning sickness and how odd Wanda's experience with such things was. Steve with the shoulders also stopped in to talk about the odd things about this town and then make plans for Halloween costumes come the fall. Prompto had a nostalgic day at Turtle & Canary before Liz texted and it was... a lot of glitter in this note. An illegible amount of glitter, in fact. Steven with the quotation marks waited at Café Fina for a last minute date with Watts to harken back to a trip up north.
And then... there was the Prom! People arrived in fashion. Much like Tahani who went on to debate the pros and cons of sugar with Graham. Graham then spoke with Charlie and they discussed encouraging others to make use of the dance floor. Clare and Belle complimented each other's dresses and spoke on missing people on occasions such as this. Belle received some, ah, faint praise from Tahani about her dress and then was surprised to see Five at the dance. Charlie rather cheerfully ignored the 'advice' from Tahani concerning her choice of musical instrument at the dance. Folks could enjoy the refreshments or spend some time on the dance floor like Summer and Stark did before the conversation turned toward a bit of different sort of dancing. And then there were the chaperones! Cutter and Connor remarked on how surprising it was to be in that position. Summer and Stark made certain to get some pictures for social media and, of course, just to have for themselves before deciding what to do first at the dance. Gladio filled Jon in on the sort of dancing he taught his class leading up to that evening. Anakin had Stark checking in on if he was enjoying the dance. Does that man enjoy anything? Truly now. But the evening was not finished until the court was announced and we all must say our congratulations to the winners.
But that appears to be all the news we have. And with the larger than usual number of children out about town, I will make a hasty retreat back to my--well, Yennefer's apartment. She has the better food for holing up.
Have a lovely weekend!
