What's up, Fandom? How are we all doing a week and a half or so into the year? You just heard "Bid's Animals" by Hana Stretton here on WTFH with your fabulous host, Steph Gingrich, aka me.
*drum solo*
And of course our equally fabulous intern porg, not to mention the usual intrepid boozy crew of squirrels. One of whom is handing me the School notes as we speak!
Life Skills tackled laundry, which is... not gonna lie, a subject that can be pretty daunting at about any stage of life. Yeah, even with washing machines like Summer had everybody use. Practical Wilderness Survival started out with one of the very most important, basic things on which said survival depends: water. Finding, storing, and conserving it, that is. Sensory Deprivation Combat Training had to make their way through a dark maze without falling to their not actual deaths in any of the pit traps, and I have some ideas now, hell yeah. And finally, Interpretive Dance got to learn some ballet basics.
So basically everybody got a little bit of a workout.
Wait. What is this?
*excited trilling*
Holy crap, everybody, it's an actual Dorms note! Yeah, that's right, Kurt was enjoying an al fresco lunch on the deck, where he was joined by Graham for BLT-sharing and planning a movie night.
I... I think the intern porg is actually crying tears of joy right now. This might actually be too much for me to handle. Help.
So moving on, in Town, Sakaki and Maya were back from break and giving treats to all the animals at Furnado! Rosa was writing and crumpling up Post-Its at Diaz & Ass., while Summer was too busy doing work to join the Turtle and Canary cheese panda in learning Apu's new broom-and-price-gun dance routine.
... that sure is a bunch of words I said all in order there, huh. Wow. Vi did not get bitten by the gremlins causing a little bit of a ruckus at the Magpie Emporium, but she did get to share lunch with me while we checked out a new game in which -- let's just say if you ever wanted to roleplay a gremlin biting Dean Skywalker, there is actually a system for that now.
Speaking of gremlin bites, Raiden was the victim of one in the Pizza Planet freezers, which is how he came up with some kind of monstrosity that had a whole-*BLEEP* rotisserie chicken and also candy on it. You'd think at least nobody would want to order one to go and worry about how it wasn't going to fit in a pizza box but no, because Steve McG actually wanted to take one home. Bro. Are you okay.
Nell had a bunch of feuding plants to deal with at Covent Garden Flowers, but luckily she did not get caught in the crossfire and neither did Marc when he dropped by to have coffee and talk floral fight club centerpieces with her.
I swear, I freaking love this place. I can say things that would literally make no sense anywhere else, but they do and it's awesome.
The Trooper Station was the place to be if you wanted to feel way too much of the abdominal burn, and by 'you' I mean the Troopers, because Steve -- the one who works there and is now even more freakishly devoted to fitness because we're still just a week and a half into January, and again I ask: bro, are you okay -- made it Abs Day. Bet they wish they'd been hanging out at the quiet and even confetti-free Fire Station with Eddie instead. Maybe. Is this the kind of thing that transcends that rivalry?
Doubtful that going to hang out at the Devil's Nest after work made any of those Troopers feel better about their workdays, not with both Eric and Gladio hanging out shirtless just to, like, rub it in or something. Okay, and also to talk about Liz and Prompto's wedding and speculate about the greeting card selection at T&C.
Marc was hanging out at the Perk to have breakfast and take care of Important Life Business things -- the squirrels literally wrote that phrase, capital letters and all, on my notes. Watts was Not Having Any of the new pistachio flavor on the menu. I second that, for the record, and lt looks like Marc wasn't into the idea either, given they got into a discussion about different styles of coffee. Connor asked Marc for recommendations on what to get and got... a recommendation, though the squirrels aren't sure how helpful it actually was. He also told Watts about how he's teaching up at the school this semester. About dinosaurs. Which, it goes without saying, is awesome.
And finally...
*Crab Rave clip plays*
That's right, it's the Clinic report and Crab Lore Drop! Stabby was lifting weights, and when Stark wanted to know where he got them, it turns out it was SeaBay.
Because of course it was.
And that's all I've got for this week, so I'm going to leave you with this, kind Fandom listeners: Do we know when Stabby's birthday is? And if so, does J,GoB sell crab cakes?
*drum solo*
