It’s Wednesday, again. The squirrels escorted me here, again after sneaking into my apartment, again. I suppose I ought to read their notes, again.
School first because school is always first and the squirrels seemed very offended last week when I asked why. Amaya’s students made thermoelectric generators in Shop. Anakin watched part of a movie in Ethics and asked if people who did illegal things could be rehabilitated which is ridiculous of course doing things someone else considers wrong doesn’t mean you’re a lost cause! Nearly everyone I-
*chittering*
Yes. Sorry. You’re right. Moving on.
In Fear in Literature they talked about war and fear and of course there’s fear there that’s nearly all there is then and-
*chittering*
I...yes. Right.
Dorms were quiet, again, but the town has plenty of notes. Liz was on her phone and writing in her journal while at the Photo Hut and Tisarwat seemed very thoughtful at Groovy Tunes. Dwight was also a bit quiet at his shop, until Amaya arrived to talk to him about the weekend and the cost of swords and Miguel came in for coffee and to talk about an upcoming trip. Will was at the clinic, looking at old records, and I went to talk to him.
In the evening, Yang took our class to Minnesota, which is cold, to help with a gift drive. And there was a new arrival on the causeway after dark. Another one. I haven’t even met all of the older new arrivals yet. But this one was a bat before he was a person. That’s...different. Billy did meet this new arrival, Laszlo. He was also met by Eliot who introduced himself and explained the difference between witches and magicians. Jon briefly introduced himself as well. Eric and Laszlo seemed to bond over vampirehood while Danny was having trouble with the idea of a person who is also a bat. And then Goose introduced himself as well.
After all those introductions Laszlo ended up at Caritas where Kitty was dealing with tiny bottles of alcohol falling out of decorations and then he was hired as a new bartender for Thursdays. Rosa was also there for several drinks in case she isn’t able to have drinks later. I’m not sure that’s how that works but maybe it does, here? And then, Lucifer was at the Devil’s Nest playing piano and singing and this has something to do with someone called Miley and... Leroy is upset I don’t know who that is.
That seems to be all for now. I'm sure next week I'll be back for much the same thing as this week. And last week. And all those other weeks.
