Troy: ...and we're back. Let's take a moment to thank our last guest for that riviting demonstration of how much wood a woodchuck could chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood, and then that brings us into the final section of our show, the moment you've all been waiting for, ~The News~. Take it away, Astrid!
Astrid: Thanks, Troy. Starting, as always, with ~The School~, Advanced Team Building got physical with an obstacle course, Shop Class did woodworking with puzzle boxes, Guiding the Powerful had to talk the king down from claiming other people's accomplishments as his own, and Ignis held office hours, of course, and fielded a few texts from it looks like Nina, because nothing is sacred to these squirrels.
Troy: There are no notes this week for ~The Dorms~, but, in ~The Town~, Nina helped Octavia find some books about Greek Mythology at the Bookbelt, I am now terrified to go to work, and Travis got to be a first-responder in a raccoon-slash-rickshaw accident earlier yesterday. No injuries to report, but rabies shots may be in order, and he got to meet the mayor! He didn't believe her about the raccoons getting their paws up into everything because he's new!
And speaking of raccoons...confirming that the raccoon at the counter at Luke's was not Octavia was a bit of a theme, which was probably helped by the fact that Octavia was actually there. She talked to Duke about the newbie Travis and the books she got at the Bookbelt, and she also talked to newbie Travis about us having a fire station and what fire station even is. Newbie Travis who got a coffee and a grilled cheese from Duke despite being uncertain about how raccoon customers fit into the health codes, and there was more raccoon talk between Travis and Lucifer, as well as breaking down the intricate details of Lucifer's relationship with Octavia and Duke...and possibly raccoons? Look, there's just a lot of raccoons in the notes, even Duke and Lucifer were all up on raccoon talk and what they do or don't eat, and talking about the diner's vibe, which at this point, I think we can all just say is RACCOON.
Astrid: It's okay, Troy.
Troy: *sob* I'm just so sick of raccoons. It's a weird word, Astrid! Just look at it!
Astrid: Don't worry. I think we're done with the racoons, but I'll take it from here. It's okay.
Troy: Is this because we had the one with the ukelele on last week?
Astrid: No, I...really don't think that's it. Totally unreleated raccoon phenomenon. It's fine, though, we're almost done.
Bucky was back at the movie theater, which meant that Jesse could catch both him and a flick, while also hoping the movie was funnier than he was, and Steve was mostly just there to be a nerd about the movie. Which is fair. It's a pretty good one.
Troy: Don't they mostly show, like, old movies at that place?
Astrid: I like old movies...
Anyway, Annie had Summer over to her place so they could drink sangria and talk about--
Troy: Please don't say raccoons.
Astrid: No. No raccoons. Just boys. Or specifically, Summer's boy.
Troy: Ooooh. Juicy!
Astrid: And Nick failed to impress with his joke about the drink special over at the Devil's Nest, and then talked with Eric about how drunk you'd have to be to actually willingly drink Galliano. The liquor, not the fashion designer....I assume.
