Fandom Radio: Friday, December 18th.
Friday, December 18th, 2020 06:46 amGood morning, everyone! It's just Summer in the morning today, because my usual adorkable himbo of a co-host is still in the clinic right now, which is as good a way as any of reminding everyone to be careful out there, it's pretty [BEEP]ing nuts, and that's coming from me, soooooo....yeah. We're already amping up to an interesting weekend.
But our intrepid squirrels are tireless in their ability to scribble things down and make someone read them, so while most of this is about snow angels and lights that need to chill the [BEEP] out and mean girl mistletoe, here's some of the deets:
Also, for the record, I refuse any blame for everyone's new fruitcake doorstops.
Anyway, finals week probably didn't turn out exactly as everyone at the SCHOOL had anticipated...by the way, all my students listening right now, class is def canceled, but keep an eye out for an email, 'kay? Anyway, everyone in Intro to PE passed just for showing up, which I always sort of thought was how classes here worked, anyway? And Functioning Governments were just so 2020 about it by holding class over Zoom, at least until Tony and Steeeeve's adorable dog intervened and was pretty much a hero to everyone having to deal with that, while the Art of Ma was just straight-up canceled and I'm surprised Shunsui even bothered to send an email about it...
But at least the library was quiet enough for Eleanor to squeeze in a nap.
Hopefully, the lack of DORMS notes means a lot of you were just keeping safe through all of this, while in TOWN, Octavia in particular got some good fighting mileage out of our over-enthusiastic holiday cheer before stopping in at Luke's to refuel and check in with Duke.
Elli was helping out big time at the clinic, which was good, because, as mentioned earlier, Troy did not exactly fare well with everything going on out there, and neither did Wayne's snowmobile, though I don't think they could do much about that at the clinic.
And, of course, Town Hall was a good gathering of people showing up to try and figure out exactly ywhy all this is happening. Nina checked in on Stark to see how he was holding up and whether he needed any healing or escorting home, that Barry guy dropped in a message about something up in the atmosphere that lead Nina and Jesse to speculate that it has something to do with localization of weather and being magically concealed...yaaaay, but, hey, it's something, and may or may not be related to weird shadows on the castle spotted by Rosa, and I'm sure a few things'll pop up as they work through it today, so...keep up the good work, nerds! And, seriously, if there's anything you notice or think of, let people know, every bit helps!
And when he wasn't dropping off holographic news at the town hall, that Barry guy was, of course, working on figuring out things in his warehouse, where the mistletoe was also teaching him the meaning of--
....
...oohboy.
*clears throat*
Christmas. The meaning of [BEEP]ing Christmas. And finally, at the DN, Eric argued with the mistletoe and lights before realizing he was arguing with mistletoe and lights. Because yeah. It's one of those weeks.
And because it's one of those weeks, I'm going to remind you all to be careful, be smart, kick ass, and do what Fandom does best and that's basically figure this [BEEP] out and move on with our lives by Monday, because that's Annie's birthday, everyone, and it's really not cool to be like this on someone's birthday, island.
So with that in mind....Summer...OUT!
