Nah, rum's not the same here.
Everything was over in town, where some normal stuff happened. Lucille finished her work at Pick Your Poison so she could read, Breq did like, actual work work at the music shop, and Diego was cursed with polka music at the trooper station. At least there are no references to troopers actually trying the dance.
And then there was Oktoberfest in the park, where Wei Wuxian tried to get served at the Devil's Nest- good luck- and Kitty manned a pretty busy Caritas booth. She and Rosa jinxed us all with miniature bands following us around, Lucille taked to Kitty about maybe getting out to the bars more often and to Tisarwat about what the festival is. It's beer. Clint brought Lexi to see her mom all dressed up, Stark wanted drink recs, Kitty and Jesse exchanged drinking stories, and Booker and Kitty met even if he questioned "superheroing" as a verb. Wait until you get to "adulting."
There was also plenty of food, and Liam told Rey about arresting racoons and caught up with Stark after Three Minute Dates. People also got to sell their own stuff, like Amaya, who got Liam looking, and Nina had a Bookbelt stall. Liam came by and got some information on her about Oktoberfest, Maeve found out about the shop and its ties to world domination, and Book-er got some book recs. I'm sure that's the first time he's ever had to deal with that. There was also definitely... entertainment! Breq and Freya met over talk of whether they were going to try dancing, and Liam told Breq about the time he went to the real Oktoberfest. I'm sure it was the exact same thing.
