Thursday, August 27th, 2020 11:08 amGood morning, Fandom, it is I, Tahani al-Jamil, here to brighten your lives once again!
In town, Octavia stopped by T&C to try to make last week's dream sharing with Shunsui less awkward. I don't have word that it worked, which is why I have just hidden for the last week. Repression is terribly British after all. I'm just emulating the finest traditions of my people! Speaking of repression, Mae was running all over town being completely fine. Duke was on the beach being bendy, and Rey, Octavia, and Lucifer stopped by. Rey and he talked about a boy from her home who changed his name and got really violent and how "super cool" that made him.
You can't see the sarcastic air quotes, but they are there, my friends. Octavia was there definitely not stalling about her meeting with Shunsui, and Lucifer was there to learn yoga--or to learn why Duke had gotten into yoga, which included a cute yogi. At the police station, Danny and Tattoos made a date to go hiking this weekend, and over at Caritas, Summer had made some sort of horrifying hummus Jello shot. Seivarden refused it because Seivarden is smart, and then she told Summer about how you can make dirty flower bouquets. That would liven up some dinner parties. Summer congratulated Jesse on surviving her first bit of Fandom weirdness, and Barry thought the hummus shot sounded delicious.
I am worried about your taste in men, Summer. Barry had also brought a drone into a bar to learn about humans. He was making a different one for Rey to help her de-woodchuck her training space, but it caught Seivarden's eye too, and they had a whole conversation about various universes. I'm more concerned about drones learning about human movement. I've seen movies, Barry. I've seen how this ends. Jesse made sure that she had thanked Barry for his help in driving away the giant nightmare horse things, and Rey was very pleased with the idea of her new drone. She also got to hear Summer gush a bit about Barry, which would be adorable if it weren't for my niggling worry he's going to enslave us all with robot drones. Perhaps Summer likes me enough to be benevolent to me?
There's a happy thought! And on that, I shall leave you. See you at the welcome picnic, everyone!
