In the dorms Mae was sleeping all day.

In town, Octavia was staying on her own boat. Lucifer stopped by with breakfast and they exchanged nightmares. I hate how that's a normal thing to say right now. Shunsui stopped by. Duke talked to her from his own boat.

Steve went swimming in the morning, and found Duke napping on the beach.

Stark woke up with nightmares.

Astrid was working at at brightly lit Turtle & Canary.

Kitty was at the Perk where some of the lights were out. Tony stopped by, in need of coffee. Jesse also wanted coffee.

Barry was working on some experiment in his warehouse.

In Town Hall Jesse was trying to figure things out. Barry stopped by with his research.

Rey was practicing in the park. Duke stopped by and they talked about being followed by things.

Yasha was understandably tired at Covent Garden Flowers, and Stark stopped by to be distracted by the flowers.

Beau stayed inside with Karolina and a bottle of wine.

In the evening Liam was stalking ghost horses. Beau showed up and they exchanged nightmares.

Lucifer was playing sad, bombastic songs at Devil's Nest. Duke stopped by, appreciated the lights, and they exchanged nightmares.

Later Duke texted Octavia from his boat that he had found a fix.

All Over The Island, Saturday Noon

Who knew a squirrel-run island-wide radio system could come in handy? Jesse really had seen everything, by this point. Either way, sometime a few minutes after noon, radio came alive again.

"Uhh, hi. This is Jesse Faden, your mayor." A pause. "We know the island has been dealing with an-- invasion of nightmares recently. We're piecing things together, but it looks like we've got some kind of... psychic parasite horses living in the shadows."

She cleared her throat.

"I know this suggestion is going to be weird, and trite, and a lot of you are going to roll your eyes at it, and I won't blame you," she said. "But the best lead we have so far is that happy thoughts-- I mean, happy memories, they're... poison? Maybe? Or it just scares them. I don't know. I just... I want to try something. I need everybody to show up at the park today, and, uh, make a big circle and. Think about nice things."

A long pause. Some chittering.

"... yeah, I know. It's the best we have. If anyone has any better ideas, I'll be in the park."

Fandom Radio- Sunday, August 23

Good morning, Fandom! This is Alexis, and wasn't tonight the best night's sleep ever? I mean, it seems like other people got it way worse but like, sometimes you don't want to relive that time the private plane you were on got hijacked. Ugh.

It turned out fine. The band's security knocked them out and regained control of the plane super fast.

Anyway! So first off, Seivarden was working and hating this place at the same time, Breq and Tisarwat kept separate, and Lucille ditched work to play piano.

Now the big stuff! Mayor Jesse was manning town hall when Lucifer came in to tell her nice things make the bad stuff go away, and then he left. Duke was more helpful and came in with news about horses and, uh, touching I guess? But not touching horses. I guess that was part of the problem. And then New Mayor Jesse announced for everyone to go to the park. People showed up, like Barry, who told Jesse he wasn't so sure about this, and Duke was optimistic at Jesse and Karolina. And everyone held hands and thought happy thoughts, which took out the demon horse things. I'll have you all know that I was thinking very hard about that time at the Playboy Mansion where Cindy Crawford said I was actually too pretty.
