sexy_giraffeGood morning, eveyone, this is Tahani al-Jamil and I have never been more grateful not to have my name called as I was during yesterday's ridiculousness. For those who missed it, Dean Skywalker acquired a telephone pole from...somewhere...greased it up with all manner of horrifying things, stuck it very high in the air over the water, and then made people try to get across it. That there's hot water at all today is a tesitimony to the robustness of the island's plumbing. I suppose we should all be grateful he didn't come up with this plan when the laundry was on strike. Rey, Rosa, and Barry made it across successfully and won free Mooby Burgers for a week, which I may be a prize for someone.
In town, Jesse was at city hall complimenting the plants, Shunsui pretended to care about what Apu was telling him at T&C--how could they tell?--and Summer was selling Jello shots again. One of them had cottage cheese in it. Who hurt you, Summer? Ah, apparently her grandfather, if the rodents eavesdropping on her conversation with Seivarden were correct. Even Rey looked askance at the cottage cheese and fish shot and that was before Summer told her about how she ended up in jail this weekend. The scandal! Speaking of scandals, Eleanor ate the horrifying cottage cheese and tuna Jello shot. On purpose.
MAKE BETTER CHOICES, ELEANOR. As my friend Mandiba says, "May your choices reflect your hopes, not your fears." And Steve--pecs, not tattoos--went in to pick up his Jello mold and have a beer.
*judgmental silence*
I'd say that makes you less attractive, but we all know that's a lie. Just. Jello? And Steve--tattoos, not pecs--was bothering Danny before showering off all of the grossness from the Wednesday Shenanigan. That should also make you less attractive, but this island is terribly unfair. Down at Duke's Beach of Yoga and Angst it turns out he had not been sent to a farm, after all, but Danny, Octavia, and Rey fussed over him just the same. I could've had a song written in your honor, Duke, but apparently I don't have the pull I thought.
*muffled sobbing*
It is most unfortunate. Well, maybe Bono will call me back now if it's a song with a happy ending. Heavy Christian metaphors aren't a dealbreaker for you, right? He's going through a phase.
Well, I'm going to go try, now that I'm out of notes! Have a good rest of the week!
