Beau: Yeah, so that was a -- oh, hey, the "on air" light is on, let's do this.

Keyleth: Sounds good to me. Hi, everyone!

Beau: Man, I don't have enough coffee for this. Here's the School notes for you to read.

Keyleth: Okay! In Ethics, we were talking about this concept of seven deadly sins, and some of the adults we know who might exhibit some of them and how we don't want to follow their example.

Beau: Oh man, I could have had fun with a discussion like that.

Keyleth: This doesn't surprise me somehow. So You Want to Be a Pirate? got shipwrecked, and whoops, their captain's dead and all their supplies went down with the ship so everybody had to figure out how to survive with just their wits and the things they had on them.

Beau: I mean, that's practical, right? Useful life skill or whatever.

Keyleth: It really is. In the Dorms, Nina was in her room, looking at the results of her squirrel poll and getting ready for a date with Owen, who came by so they could have a ... pre-date meeting to figure out where to go on their date.

Beau: You know, that's kind of like, impressively nerdy, almost?

Keyleth: Yeah, wow. And Sidon dropped in, too, and was nice and encouraging when she was nervous about the date. Aww.

Beau: ... right, okay, so Town [BEEP]. Amaya was at the forge making a whole bunch of noise and [BEEP] while working on ... a dagger. The squirrels wrote down that there was a buzzsaw involved and there's, like, a bunch of question marks around that word. I'm just gonna not ask. Apparently Shunsui never got the memo that the Turtle and Canary Squishy machine was broken, 'cause Apu was kinda lecturing him about it. Octavia came in and told him about how her new tattoo's doing -- dude, that's dope, I kinda feel like I should get one myself, like, someday -- which obviously called for some celebratory drinking. Not that anyone really needs an excuse, but, y'know. Nina came in and offered to heal the cut on his face and got all super embarrassed when Shunsui teased her about her upcoming, and I quote the squirrels here because they underlined it a bunch of times and I don't want to get [BEEP] thrown at me for glossing over it or something, "very first date."

Aaaaaand one more note here, which is that Kitty threw a super chill, kinda low-key birthday party for Lexi, and also the dogs were wearing party hats. Iris was kinda trying to avoid the birthday girl, and maybe made Kitty a little paranoid about when Lexi figures out how to open doors. I mean. Legit fear.

Keyleth: I don't know. Doors can be trickier than they look, you know?

Beau: Sure. Kitty also thought it warranted noting that Rosa showed up at a kid's birthday party, and the whole kids-grow-up-fast thing came up again, which I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess was a recurring theme of the evening for obvious reasons, and Iris and Rosa introduced themselves in a conversation that had -- HEY, SQUIRRELS, WHAT THE [BEEP] IS THIS COMMENT ABOUT IT BEING MY CALIBER OF SOCIAL SKILLS?

Keyleth: Yeah, okay, that's a little on the rude side there, guys. Not necessarily inaccurate, but kind of rude.

Beau: Hey. Clint had his hands full trying to keep Lexi from escaping from her chair and also sort of attempting this collective denial thing with Kitty that their kid is ever going to get older, and, uh, good luck with that, boss.

Keyleth: Yeah. Aaaaaanyway. Is that it for today?

Beau: Looks like. No arguments from me, I have [BEEP] to do. And I need coffee.

Keyleth: Oh, same. Except without the coffee. Have a nice Thursday, everybody!
