Well, good morning, everybody. This is Brooke Davis, and I get the yearly sad notes this time. Because every year. I didn't even have kids this time around and I'm depressed.
Does it work if we just go backwards? We're going to go backwards today. We're not ending with the portal today.
So at the
portal,
Seivarden said goodbye to Etnys and gave her a lesson in knife safety,
Hernando and Sparkle said goodbye to Quinn and Abney, who wanted to come back,
Ezra and Ada said goodbye to Ella,
Envy started off glaring at the portal,
Steve and Tony got some last-minute feelings from Tesla, and
Fjord noted that that was a portal, yep.
Maybe other things happened. I'm going to end that part on that note.
Elsewhere in
town, before everything was terrible,
Amaya got to stop her kids from dueling in the park, where
Fenris brought his knife-throwing daughter to throw knives, why are all these kids handling weapons, oh my god, and
Keyleth had to stop Lin from throwing daggers at a person, I've never been so glad to not go outdoors.
Summer was threatening to give unattended kids candy at the store, which I'm surprised didn't lead to her getting invaded by the sorts of kids who wander unattended through portals, and
Kanan and Jacen were having awkward coffee time at the Perk before
Sabine got to ask questions and find out she's got some role in there, and
Jack told Jacen some stories and played family therapist.
At the Arms,
Hyacinthe and Ada listened to Zia tell a story, and at home,
Hardison set up a video link so his kids could talk to
Kathy.
Ada- not the one who went to school here- as trying to wheedle Eliot about presents and would not be conned by
Spike, who also caught up on
Kathy's current goings-on with Hardison, and
Hardison and Eliot got to talk about real kids. Speaking of
Kathy, she decided to spoil kids at Fast Eddie's, so she probably got a lot of fans.
Dante checked in with her,
Ella told Ezra about getting kicked out of here once,
Eliot came to play grandpa, and
Parker taught the little Ada how to play pool.
Carys took Ella up on an invitation to play a game, and
Spike was apparently ordering all the root beer floats. He probably got some fans, too.
Movie class got a nautical movie today, now with more children in the audience, and
Amaya immediately dumped Kia on Fjord since he left her alone with her this whole time.
Zephyr and Djodge- tell my I'm pronouncing that wrong- talked to Fjord about throwing a shru- shir- a thing into a tree, and
Kia figured out Djodge is her half-brother
you people are all fired.
Peter checked in with Amaya, who was jealous he was left off this one, and
Fjord and Peter wondered if this movie was even appropriate for kids. No better way to find out than halfway through when everybody's crying.
In the
dorms,
Prompto was entertaining Lulu and Lucy and got a visit from
Nina who came bearing food, and then there was just a lot of... stuff going on there.
And finally, at
school,
Adulting finished out the class with a party, where
Kitty checked up on Lexi and both of them got surprised by
Tesla having Lexi's face.
Hubris class had a discussion about using religion to your advantage,
Civic thingie did their
presentations, and
Tip had a mostly normal day at the library.
There. I think that worked, right? I hope that worked.
