Good morning, everyone, Paris Geller here again. Hopefully Dean Skywalker didn't mess up the broadcast too badly last week while I was off atoning. In classes yesterday, Cooking learned how not to make a quesadilla, with a bonus lesson in how not to put out a grease fire. I worry about you people, I really do. Badass Women had a lesson in holding our fake alcohol, and Practical Ethics learned that everyone in the short story about the the lady and the tiger are terrible. Karolina held guidance counsel office hours.
In town, Norman's demon has morphed into a peanut butter and jelly demon and seriously?! Is no one but me the least bit concerned about this? Zack was making friends with a new, basketball-sized lizard-bird thing, which is STILL NOT AS WEIRD AS NORMAN'S DEMON--
*chittering*
Yes, I absolutely meant to yell into the microphone there, but I get your point. Astrid was moping around the flower shop, Mitsutada was singing at the diner, and the movie watching class at the community center watched the sequel to their sci-fi movie last week. Prompto was playing games at the CIC and got checked up on by Kaidan to see if he was enjoying his newish job and then got the rundown on sometimes this island gets a little scary and yada yada. Parents Weekend isn't that bad, though your personal traumatic family life might vary, of course.
And finally, time for the giant party that Tuesday night at Caritas has become, this time aided by free pumpkin spice vodka shots. Kitty, that's just mean. Fortunately, I now know to pre-game thanks to my high school class and drink Gatorade and take ibuprofen or just, I don't know, don't drink pumpkin spice vodka. Ew. Seivarden was the first to take the free shot, and Kitty explained that pumpkin spice everything is an Earth tradition for Fall. Rosa decided on a beer and then she and Kitty debated whether Tino was even human, given his apparently terrible taste in alcohol. Seivarden couldn't convince Rosa to drink the vodka either, even though it was free, and they got talking about flying. Apparently the further away in space you are, the less you care about how bad the alcohol tastes. I'm learning all kinds of new things this week. Kanan stopped Kitty from her flailing about having to pack a bag for the hospital and having a baby and how much therapy it will need.
Therapy is fine. I've been going for years and look how well-adjusted I am now.
*squirrel snickers*
I will end you, Leroy. Summer came in--apparently she is the person pumpkin spice vodka is geared toward because she wanted to know if there was a limit on how many free drinks she could have--and then got Kanan to agree to let her crash at his place if she made extremely poor choices and needed to be carried home. Mike stopped by on not his shift day, pulled in by the magic of free vodka, and Kanan and Kaidan did their weekly meet-up at the bar instead of Kanan's secret lair. So is that a step up or back? I honestly don't care that much about the adults around here to speculate. Finally, Kaidan tried to explain to Kitty why Fernando brought a cake to the bar last week and I'm just going to assume that sentence makes sense to at least two of you out there and leave it at that.
That's all I've got, folks. And remember, if your parents are too much for you to deal with over the weekend, hiding is a completely valid life choice.
