Good morning, this is Seivarden Vendaai, and the squirrels have yet again woken me up to get me to read the gossip from yesterday.

 

I'm pleased to hear that there were classes at the school. Lies Your Other American History Teachers Told You talked about a president who owned slaves. Norman -- is that the rude kid with the ears? -- thought knowledge about it is important and Tip observed that people at the time agreed with this.

 

Music Appreciation talked about songs about war. I've heard quite a few of those but I have to say I prefer love songs. Summer had been in a warzone where they played flaming guitars. That sounds quite uncivilized. Although it turned out Jono wanted one, so maybe I will have to take that back. Hannibal was concerned about the furniture. Breq didn't have much to say. Perhaps she hasn't had any experience of war.

 

Nothing happened in the dorms, for which I'm still grateful.

 

In the park Kanan was once again playing with a lightsaber, despite the cold. Rey showed up again to gawk and Kanan pointed out he made a mistake, which is an incredibly transparent way to try and impress someone. Then they talk about some kind of Resistance. I'm not sure against what, but guns might be better than swords for that to work. Tip is there to practice too, and apparently they're in the park because Hera doesn't like sword-fighting on board her ship. It sounds like she's smarter when she's not a vicious animal. By the way, I forgive you for attacking me, Hera.
