Fandom Radio, March 14
Hey Fandom, assuming any of you are still here to listen. I feel like I should be running away right about now, but I'm hoping the squirrels will protect me. Like fuzzy good luck charms. Angel stuff is at the end, kids, go get a drink while I talk about the other boring stuff you did today.
School
Maybe we shouldn't have classes today. Like, cancelled on account of awful. I don't mind getting meltygiraffes everywhere, or talking like I'm on a bad trip, or being attacked by cleaning products, but this is another thing entirely.
Ethics talked about wrath. That's one of the Seven Deadly Sins, you should probably avoid it. Um, this discussion is furthered by Skywalker explaining how "he killed a dude". Um. Did we know this? Like, was it common knowledge I missed out on by coming late to the first day of things? Well, at least the kids talk about how they don't kill people. Which is good, lesson for the day. TA Jo is wrath free, and Skywalker gets an apology from Used To Be a Horse, or UTBAH for short.
French talks about culture and native speakers. People took notes? Oo, and picked food. That's fun. Speaking of food, there are subs today. Sadly, though, not the yummy kind, the school kind. Conflict Management watches a movie, yay. So does Tactics.
Biff has office hours and cookies. Ghanima stops by and is ten steps ahead of the rest of us when she asks him to get his buddy Josh to do something about this. Aparently that's a no go. Nathan has office hours as well, but no cookies. Juli has office hours, and Sky makes up the midterm. Z also makes up the midterm.
Dorms, where you'd think all the sin would keep the Angels away.
Demyx is watching TV and drinking tea in the common room. Adah goes to check on Lee, who is fine, and she's relieved. It's kind of cute, I don't like it. She also checks on River, who's out of town on purpose, and has AJ feeding Berthold. Gwynn sends some letters, and Sky gets a bunch. Meg finds something cool in a newspaper.
Ronan does something involving a sword, and it apparently gets bloody. UTBAH checks on Aravis, who is playing with weapons, and gets to find out that Seely is in 1936. UTBAH then brings Evey to meet Gavin, and the subject quickly turns from blowing angels up (and failing) to, um, firecats with explosives, and if that happens I am blaming you three.
Savannah and Brooke, wisely, are kinda freaked about the angels. Smart girls. Peter Petrelli comes to check on Brooke, and are you seriously thinking like that at a time like this? Wyatt and Isabel watch tv and complain about Wrath. Sokka tells Rikku that he found something that might be important. Zack also seems to think he has something important.
Liir tells UTBAH about Andrew and Ino, and kinda gets mad about UTBAH's explosive adventures. Inara also comes by, but is more happy that UTBAH is around and less angry. Dean asks the cat some questions, but also talks to UTBAH about meetings and journals and his family. Jaina also stops in to check on him.
On the roof, Rikku is really upset. Reno tries to help with that. Jen is rocking some hot pink spandex, which gets a WTF from Adam and a chat with Sky. Dean makes what I hope is an important phonecall.
Town, where we should not BE right now, wasn't there an announcement about that?
In The Clinic, which I feel is a Good place to have, the Nurses debate Angels. Apparently they're not all bad, but the good ones are vampires, or something. Squirrels, stop drinking and reporting, I get confused. Speaking of drunk reporting, Barbossa fills in for Robin's show, but as they both seem kinda drunk very often, I don't see much of a difference.
Fraser gets a letter from Robin, who is in the past. I don't know how that works, but sure. Cable also gets some letters, and then does some research.
Safehouses are an excellent idea. Millie opens one at Book Haven, and is joined by Sean. Melody sets up a slumber party at Groovy Tunes, which sounds like a much better option than going home where I live next door to Wrath, so I may check that out later. Faith proves herself to be one of the smartest strong people on the island, and decides to not poke the evil. Robin (the frog, not Haunches) joins them.
Pizza Planet is open, thanks to Makoto. Tom kinda wants him to go home, but Makoto decides to stay and pretend to be productive. Isabel is doing much the same at Pixie Dust, trying to research. Meg runs to the store to talk about colleges, and while I admire the running, next time maybe you can use a phone? You're a teenage girl, I'm sure you have some horrifically pink one. Xander tells her he's going to find Bridge, but promises to be careful. I'm sure that will work out for you.
Yitzhak is kinda mopey at the diner, and I don't blame him at all. Mary is at my favorite Arms, and has a breakfast buffet all day and cots. Mike is excited about the buffet. Apu is manning Turtle and Canary, and also will probably save your life if you need it. Talking to you, Sokka. G'Kar also takes a shift at Turtle and Canary, where Sky stops by to look for weaponry, but it doesn't really work out.
At Caritas, Aravis is manning the bar because her sword scared Tino. I feel you, man. Gavin is also there, having some mead.
Angel Stuff. Important Angel stuff, not the "ZOMG SCARED" stuff.
Letters are here, from the past. Let me guess, it's all wacky hijinks and tons of fun?
So, they're apparently hanging out in the park. They eat Dale, Bridge, Andrew, and Barbossa. They all discovered that, hey, angels are resistant to things. Like, um, voice recorders, and cell phones, and firey stuff, and magic markers. I'm taking notes.
Cable figures out you can't light them on fire, which, duh, how could they fight Satan if they'd burn? Also, they're rocks. Sokka, who always does something I have to mock, has somehow obtained a sledgehammer. Great. Apu saves him, at least. Mike and Mary shoot at an angel, which also doesn't work. Xander finds Bridge's phone of fail, and investigates. Jen has a cannon. I know we're not doing the whole weapons ban, but seriously. Cannon also fails. Anakin, who I just learned is unhinged, gets angry at a smirky angel, but fails to hurt it with his...glowstick. Sky wants his friends back, and when asking fails, he whips out a red cannony firey thing. Which also fails. Dean tries to blow up angels. It's not working, and Meg kinda gets mad at him. Double fail. Evey, UTBAH, and Altara try to blow up the angels. In a shocking change of pace, that also fails. Ronan shows us all that swords don't work, thanks. Peter Parker proves that taunting and smashing also fail.
More effective, it seems, is the researchers. It starts off well, with Cable denying Sokka a grenade launcher, and for that, sir, I will stop hating on you and your Arms. Sokka also explains to G'Kar why he's not at work. Anathema is kinda fixated on custard. Me and Sokka are both confused on this one. Anemone and G'Kar talk about angels and spirits.
AND! Anemone finds something important! Yay! Adah does too! Yay! Sokka! does too! Yay!
Then, there's a Town Meeting. Zoe is essentially asking for ideas on kicking angel ass. I can give you my list of fail?
Many, many, many people come. Aravis, Gavin, and Inara sit together. Glitch and Liir are glad that they haven't been eaten, but Liir tells Glitch about Andrew and Ino. Xavier and Dawn are also glad not to be eaten, and there are hugs. Faith is also glad to see Dawn, and there are more hugs. Sokka and Dawn talk about researchy stuff, and Deadpool's gravestone. Wait, he died? When was this? Squirrels? Start making a memorial montage, maybe we can play it tomorrow. Sky tells Sokka about the letters he got from Troy. Amber and G'Kar are worried about Turtle and Troy. Sky talks with G'Kar about how to beat an angel, with no ideas. Jaina and John are proud that they haven't gone to look for a fight, and I'm proud of them too. Gold star stickers for you guys.
Sokka smacks a Jamie, which I'm sure was deserved. He also promises Katara that they won't go after the angels. Faith earns my undying love by refusing to give him a rocket launcher. Seriously, my first borns, you can has them. Or some rum.
Sokka, Zach, and Meg talk about what they've found researching. It's quality stuff, too--yay, Willow evidence! And Winchesters! And Deadpool, who I am respecting and not making a pun of his name. And a crazy guy, which... could really be any of them, sorry. Zoe is taking questions and suggestions. Faith offers weapons, and suggests the buddy system. G'Kar wants to know if the weapons will even help--dude, they won't--but they're a safety blanket thing. Tom offers Pizza Planet as a safehouse. Mm, pizza. People volunteer to go on, um, field trips to research the clues. John Sheppard pressures Rodney into volunteering.
Alright, that looks like all we have for tonight. No one be an idiot and poke the evil, and everyone who's going on a field trip, be careful. I'm going to walk home safely, and I'll see you all tomorrow. Night!
((OOC- OMG, sorry this is a ridiculous length. You're all talky today. Here's what happened in the past:
London! Dale and Bridge arrive, Aly and Seely hit up a museum, Cimorene and Roy run into each other, as do Aly and Bridge, and Aly and Roy hit up a bar (Fandom people at a bar? Psh, crazytalk) and are joined by Cimorene.
Chicago! Where Turtle gets arrested, hee!
New York! Barbossa finds out there is NO RUM, OMG AWFUL, Lana works at a diner, John and Sam research at the library, and Barbossa manages to find an appropriately named speakeasy.
Cairo! Mel and Willow find each other, Willow explains the wonders of coffee bars, Barney runs into Mel, Robin and Barney debate gifts (body parts vs. savings bonds, I'm with the suit), and Mel talks to that crazy mummies guy.
Paris! Andrew arrives and is called "boy" a lot by a crazy woman, Ino and Romeo find each other, Jeff finds Ino, Andrew meets Toluse (and thinks he's on a scavanger hunt), and Ino learns why the French built the Eiffel Tower.))

For another, she realized as she glanced around, Richie hadn't come to the safehouse the night before.
He could have just changed his mind, but she decided to run home and check on him anyhow.
[OOC: I love Richie like whoa.]

Which was probably not the greatest rebuttal ever, no.
