WTFH Radio, Friday

Cassandra: Congratulations. You have made it to the last day of your summer classes, and now we will be forced to report on it.

Anders: Don't sound so happy about it. You're practically dripping with glee.

Cassandra: You also appear ecstatic.

Anders: I'm always thrilled to get dragged out of bed by rodents to start my day with you, Cassandra. As for how that last day of classes went … well, Cosette had an actual turtle in the library that was quite devoted to walking in straight lines. I'm sure there's some metaphor there somewhere.

Cassandra: That seems unlikely. What possible metaphor could be at play there?

Anders: Something about slow and steady and straight and … I don't know. It'd probably fly over your head anyhow. In driving class, O'Conner had us race. Face won, so congratulations to him. I did … all right. I wasn't last, is all I'm saying. Things were a bit more risky in Day After Doomsday, where the students planned an attack against the monsters outside the dorm before fighting and winning. Congratulations, I'm so pleased no one had to simulate getting eaten. Raven stopped to talk to Hardison and let him know she'd TA for him again anytime. And in Survive the Island, you got to fight alot of gremlins. Well, that sounds … unpleasant at best.

Cassandra: It was educational.

Anders: I'm sure. And in the dorms, my little sister Alluka was having a party for her stuffed animals when Ringo came to visit. They start off talking about how the panda has a new bed, and then it turns into a conversation about ...something I meant to bring up with Alluka a while ago, but she'll probably take it better from Ringo anyhow. Anyhow. Looks like the town was the busier place yesterday. Cassandra?

Cassandra: In town, much merriment was apparently had. Lottie enjoyed herself to something called 'Japanese schoolgirl metal', which is a combination of words that makes no sense to me at all. It was loud enough that Kathy was forced to shout niceties at her, so I will assume it was a racket. At the much quieter beach, Karla contacted her friends to let them know she was on the island. Jack answered her summons with care, apparently because she was in her underwear.

The worst noise was confined to the park, where Dipper and Mabel held what they call a 'summerween' party. I assume it is like Summerday, then.

Many mingled at the party, including the - sigh - pony. Who was confused by Dipper, as he called her Sherlock Horse as a joke when that appears to be a genuine… creature… from her world. Nathan and Kathy arrived dressed up as a devil and an angel, respectively, albeit not together. He felt it was not a good idea to associate based on their costumes. Kathy's costume also confused the pony, who thought she was a… peg-a-sus?

Anders: It's a mythical creature. Like a griffon with a horse's head. And now I'm sad I mised Nathan in a costume.

Cassandra: Lottie chose to keep her costume simple: it was a cloak. This did not deter Nathan from asking her about costuming. I assume they all ate the food, which in fact prompted Lottie to inform Dipper of her dog, who is soon to arrive. I assume this is not a Mabari war hound, or there will be headaches. Then the guests proceeded to do something called… trick or treating? I do not understand. Is this a game? Why does it involve Mabel giving candy to the pony? You have doomed us, Mabel. She will be insufferable for days. It is a small consolation that your brother also appears to approve of the candy, and will no doubt be equally… energetic.

Anders: And somehow I'm less sad I missed it now. All the energy would have made me tired. Is that all for today?

Cassandra: I believe so. Let us leave before they find more.

Anders: I like the way you think. Have a good day, Fandom.
