RORY: Okay, hi, everyone! This is Rory and I'm here with a much, much better guest tonight than the mean and obnoxious people who were with me last night! Say hi!
AERYN: Hi.
RORY: You're so enthusiastic.
AERYN: I was before. It's all gone now. Now I'm normal.
RORY: As long as you don't poke at any random wounds you might be sporting, I'm happy.
AERYN: ...I don't think that will be happening.
RORY: Good. Because it was very upsetting. And icky. And ickily upsetting.
AERYN: I'd imagine so. Though really, it's only a knife wound... Do you just want to do this?
We were brave like soldiers
RORY: ...yes please. Ew. Um. Speaking of wounds and stabbiness and things of that nature, Miho taught Archery today. But it's okay. They just used suction cup arrows so no one died or got their eye shot out or anything.
AERYN: That's fortunate. In Scoo- frell, it, that can't be a real world. In that class that Xander teaches, they signed in as other people and lied. This is... interesting curriculum.
RORY: Sometimes they eat doughnuts in there. It's awesome. In Writing, which is more like a real class and that's why I loved it when I took it, they wrote obituaries. In Dr. Sounds-Like-a-Dirty-Word-But-It's-Spelled-With-an-X's class, they all introduced themselves and got nicknames, and then they paired off, and Blair chatted up Dr. Not-Dirty-Name.
AERYN: It's a good class. First Aid got a lecture on psychiatry- which I thought was a load of dren until I met some people, learned about panic attacks and took self tests. If you should run into someone who's convinced they hear voices suddenly, they're probably in that class. ...Or there are extenuating circumstances. Either one.
RORY: They both sound likely. In the dining hall, it was just Tim and Jude being brave today. Brave, perhaps, like soldiers.
AERYN: Don't! Just don't. ...It's already in my head.
RORY: What about the song about Shakira's hips that we sang in Flight and Flying on our mission?
AERYN: I did not sing. You sang. That needs to be clarified.
RORY: But you wanted to sing.
AERYN: I did not! Are you on drugs?
RORY: ...no.
AERYN: Of course.
In a cabin by the meadow where the wild bees swarm
AERYN: This morning in the gym, Cameron and Veronica sparred, and then he moved on to practice against Sakurazaki. And in the salle, Anakin practiced his lightsaber technique. I'm sorry I missed that.
RORY: I kind of am too. Huh. Anyway, all those people cleared out eventually, and then Pip was in the gym in the afternoon. He taught Pippi and Seras a few things, and Nadia came by to say goodbye. That's...depressing.
AERYN: I've only talked to her once or twice, but I'm sorry to hear that. Tonight at the Pangolin campfire, Bridge showed something called "Space Battles." Hm. Dean met the robot dog, Marie talked to Bridge about Jamie, and Joxer is having trouble telling Alec and Dean apart. It gets easier, trust me. And Bel asked Bridge something about... Yes, that's not written in English.
RORY: ...it's netspeak for pornography, and I'm not subjecting myself to thinking more about what I read last night, so moving on! Um, so Bridge and Kaylee talked workshops, and then she was apparently cute with Joxer. Faithful thought Bridgey was funny, and Peter Parker was geeky about Space Battles. I am shocked. Pippi brought pizza, Joxer didn't remember having met Bridge, which seems rude, and the latter was worried about Cal, who's having insomnia issues.
AERYN: Maybe she and I should frequent the gym more often late at night. Willow and Peter Pevensie went swimming, as did Tyler and River, River also went to talk to Pippi, and Dean asked Bridge to work on his EMF meter. I have no idea what that is but I'm curious. Archie received a letter and Marie got a phone call. I will never understand how correspondence is news. Today is also apparently the day for going away, as Conner and Anders will be, and Nadia told Marty she'll be leaving, and he in turn told Angela.
RORY: Demyx also headed off for awhile, and a whole bunch of people sat with Gwynn at the Squirrel campfire, where no one wanted to think about Nadia leaving. In happier news, Draco also got a phone call, and Isabel is back! She visited with Parker, checked on Cedric, and surprised her boyfriend, Death Wish Boy. Aww. It's nice that they get to spend time together before he does something idiotic and pisses off someone else.
AERYN: Death Wish Boy? You notice I don't have to ask who you're talking about. *pause* I'm reading this because that is what the notes say. Jack and Cameron- as far as I know, this is Jack Harkness and Cameron Mitchell, but I could be confused- got drunk together and Jack put Cameron to bed. Um. Jack also visited Sam and called her his... "thingie"? And John and I... turned into puppies that grated cheese. Just like the notes say.
RORY: ...Jack/Cam OTP? Um. Anyway. You don't look like a puppy. Did Skeeter come back? And who writes these notes? Are they on crack or something?
AERYN: ...I got better. And I have no idea, I just read it.
You know our hips don't lie
RORY: Right. Um. Anyway. In the clinic this morning, you, Marie and Nadia visited Jamie, who I recently discovered has an interesting nickname, and then things were quieter there in the evening. Also, John - the one you're not involved with - opened Sparky Repairs, River and Tyler were cute and Perk-ly, All and Sundries is clean again and Pippi and Clark chatted at Pizza Planet.
AERYN: Artie played some sort of ball game against himself, I think, and Nadia and Walter met Lucas at Empire Records, where she said she is leaving. Walter was understandably distracted at work, and Nadia continued her goodbyes at Caritas. They both sang. I could relate up until that point.
RORY: Somehow I'm not seeing the singing thing, either, but whatever helps, I guess. Tim sang as well, and said goodbye to Nadia, who also said goodbye to Seras and Cally, then explained things to Veronica who, with Phoebe, explained to Piper. Also, Jack and Cam were going to fight...but ended up singing and staggering off together. Boys are weird. Especially when drunk.
AERYN: Seems like it. I think fighting would be less disturbing, anyway.
RORY: I'm completely picturing them cuddling. It's a very strange mental image.
AERYN: I'm oddly relieved I'm not the only one.
RORY: Likewise, oh em gee. And now everyone else in Fandom is picturing it too. I'm sure everyone's thankful.
AERYN: Should we maybe end on that? Make sure everyone else is still picturing it?
RORY: Sounds good. No new mental imagery for any of you, mwahaha. Night, people!
AERYN: ...You just said 'mwahaha.' Good night.
RORY: It's my evil laugh. I'm trying it out. Anyway. Night for reals!
AERYN: *sighs*
