Fandom Radio- Monday, January 17
Good... freakishly warm morning, everyone. That feels weird to say for a couple reasons. Congratulations to the people who are going to be on radio this semester, none of which are me and I'm very glad for that. But you get me today anyway, for some reason. So let's just get to it before I get into an argument with the squirrels or something and then have to face my class.
DORMS
Reading this kind of stuff is never not awkward. Bod did the walk of shame-
*sound of goat bleating*
Squirrels, stop playing on the controls. -walk of shame away from Caroline's room, where Kate went to see Nathan and was surprised to find out Caroline was his roommate. She could have stuck around a little longer, since Nathan came back to complain about being sexiled. See, awkward for a teacher to read. Scully was making lists in her room, and Peter brought her pizza and found out about her experiences with that and vampires. Not sure how those things go together, but okay. Bruce was working on something with a hook and a rope in his room... Not sure I should be reading that. Ino was writing in a notebook and got an anxiety-causing phone call. And Quinn was sending emails, so I guess if you haven't checked yours yet, you might want to.
Tara put salt in front of her door and went through spellbooks, and Kennedy brought breakfast and was worried about Tara's eyes going black. I'd be worried about that, too. Jono was in his room, moping, and Rosalind dumped water on him and dragged him to the beach to find out what was wrong. Karla came to cry, and George tried to find out what's wrong, and I certainly don't have the answer.
In the third floor common room, William found a forensic documentary to watch, which brought a few people in to watch. Stephanie was okay with it even though that awards thing was on, and there's nothing wrong with being a nerd. That's what the notes say, I'm not calling anyone names. Hank did have a problem with it, because TV should be fun and not informative. Though he did explain to Elphaba that his dad's a scientist, so I guess his reaction makes more sense now. Bruce pointed out that forensic dramas on TV aren't very accurate, which got him and William talking further on the subject. Stephanie and Bruce were not at all awkward while talking about how forensics are neat and whether you can learn anything useful from awards shows. If you can, it's news to me. William got to "geek out" at Elphaba about how much fun educational TV is, and Wesley was so entranced by the show he failed to notice anyone else was in the room for a while.
I want to thank everyone in that room for not making me talk about the awards and how you were talking about what everyone was wearing. Thank you so much.
TOWN
Kerrigan and Charlie had a meeting in the junkyard, Mitchell was in a great mood at the theater, where Kate seems to have gotten herself a job, and Dolf celebrated his first real day of work at Turtle and Canary by wondering about labor unions. I'm sure his boss will love him. Ino paid Reno a visit at Fixer-Uppers, though it was about something cryptic concerning his world and post-graduation plans. Those conversations are never fun.
Blysse and Blind Seer tried to give a new horse some space at the Gig, which is one of those sentences I never thought I'd say. Aphrodite was at that shop that was getting a lot of advertisement via phone the other week, and her good mood was shot when Max and Dinah came with bad news. Uh oh.
In a desperate bid not to start everyone's day off badly ending there, I'll finish off by saying that Tahiri was practicing on the beach with her new lightsaber- good for you, Tahiri- John let Tino man the bar at Caritas in order to watch TV, and Ellie was reading medical journals at the clinic. That's a nice harmless note to end on, right? In that case, that's it for me, someone else can do this tomorrow.
