Fandom Radio, October 4
Evening, Fandom! How's it feel to be visitor-free again? I'd ask for a show of hands but, funny thing, I can't see you! Wacky, isn't it? *forced giggle*
*tiny squirrel raspberry noises*
Boy, you are a tough crowd. Or should I say a tough nut to crack?
*tiny squirrel jeering*
Every rodent's a critic. I do not remember hearing about that on Animal Planet.
Classes
Food Appreciation was not for those opposed to barbecue . . . or those on a vegetarian diet . . . being all about beef today, with film footage that might or might not make you go vegan. In case you do, we have a lot of vegetarian and vegan-friendly food options at Luke's. Oh, what? Don't look at me like that. George Cooper probably won't be exercising those menu options any time soon, and since John was enjoying some kobe beef, it's safe to guess he won't either. Macro Tactics was here to tell you that guess what? Even running an army won't get you out of math, because there are things like budgeting for resources to take into consideration. The TAs were around, even though Emma and Karla were more interested in the tactics of homecoming dress shopping, and so was Kerrigan. Around. Not shopping for homecoming wear.
Around the World in 15 Weeks got to meet indoors, Danger Shop-style, since they were in Iceland listening to an Icelandic Saga. Professor Bond, TA Reese, everyone, hope you kept warm. Personal Weaponry got to watch as Max threw things at targets, then try throwing things at targets while Max kept an eye out, all in the name of debating the pros and cons of thrown weaponry.
Jaina's office hours were quiet but hopefully productive. Hopefully more so than the school office was, what with being completely trashed and covered with elk and moose tracks. The library was hopefully in better shape, since Gabrielle was shelving books. We hope.
French club met in the library and focused on music that was -- guess what? -- in French. Bet you didn't see that coming. And Kappa Kappa Gremlin had ice cream with toppings ranging from the normal to the tiny pizza pockets what is wrong with you. Oh, if any of you were staring at that selection, I don't think anyone blames you. I mean, really, have some respect for the ice cream? Honestly, Alexander and Zack, honestly. You too, Constable Fraser.
Pizza pockets . . .
Hmm, Cally, the student, that is, got spit out of locker 327 . . . welcome back?
Now I wonder if that locker ate anyone's guests over the weekend, which begs the question of whether that was a good thing or a bad thing under the circumstances . . .
Dorms
Bod wasn't in the best of moods when Kate came by his room to apologize for getting in a fight with one of his guests . . . well, that might explain why. Luke and Percy talked about their fathers showing up and wanting to act like dads. And Percy's resemblance to a dog. These may be unrelated subjects. Who knows?
Bruce was in the fifth floor common room tonight, somehow stuck watching Dancing With the Stars in Spanish with Elphaba, who finally came out of hiding now that the guests were gone.
You know, I'm a little surprised no one actually built a pillow fort?
Though I'm out of dorm notes, so maybe you all are still hiding in the pillow fort.
Town
Or in town, one or the other. Like Ino, working at the clinic but passing the time with hot chocolate and notes.
Ender was at Sta -- wait, it's Fixer-Uppers now -- today as usual, with the usual visit from Ben and some discussion of something Ender's brother wants help with back home. Over at the Arms Quinn was making sure everything was in order after the guests left, talking to Mary about Gunther trying to cook one of the guests and ways to keep that from happening in future, and dealing with Sherlock's insistence on using her cell phone instead of one of the pay phones. Cally who isn't a student was on duty in the MCA lobby, Alex Russo was reading magazines on her Magic Box shift, Dani Davis was at the Gig trying to get the horses' opinions on interior decorating, I now have sugar snap peas as locally grown as you can get at Luke's Diner, and Medusalith was at Fourth Dimension in a bit of a mood, which might be explained by her trip to Pixie Dust to take advantage of the post-weekend sale and tell Makita about how her sister made off with her shoes. Karla was at Dite's Decadent Delights working on a custom chess set, and I think the less speculated about that the better. Sookie dropped in to let her know that she'll be getting a present thanks to a cheque she got from her guest Eric over the weekend. There was also talk of investment.
There was also not much talk of anything else, apparently; are you all still in hiding? Or sleeping off trauma?
In any case, congratulations again on surviving the weekend, and good night, everyone!
