Pirate Radio, Friday, June 3rd, 2006

MARIE: ... if we get caught? Hm, I don't think that button did anything.

WILLOW: Oh how's Veronica going to know? It's not like she's smarter than me.

MARIE: I haven't met her, but I'm sure you're right. *pause* Um, does that red light mean we're on the air?

WILLOW: Oh! Okay. Um, hi, Fandom! This is your pirate radio broadcast, which you can tell because I'm wearing a poofy shirt. Well, not that you can actually tell that, but take my word. There's also a skirt but I don't know if pirates wear skirts. I don't ask. That seems personal.

MARIE: She really is. I can see her. And I don't know if pirates wear skirts. Maybe we should call Barbossa next Thursday and ask.

WILLOW: Sometimes guys wear kilts. Do you think Barbossa is Scottish?

MARIE: Around here? I'd believe anything. *sound of someone attempting to whisper* The announcers usually give their names.

WILLOW: *sound of someone not successfully covering the microphone* They do? Oh poop.

MARIE: Uh huh. *sounds of a pencil scratching on paper*

WILLOW: Okay. Um. Then I'm... Rowan... no that's too obvious. Ash? No. Pine tree? Wait, how on earth would somebody be named pine tree?

MARIE: I dunno. Sounds kind of weird to me. Anyway... um... Hi, Fandom, I'm... Julie, your cruise director announcer for this evening, here with my friend...

WILLOW: Um... Michelle... Aldrin? *sound of badly covered mike again* That was so dumb! No way do I look like a Michelle or somebody Aldrin!

MARIE: *whispered* It doesn't matter! *normal voice* Your regular radio host couldn't be here tonight, so we're filling in. You want to start... Michelle?

WILLOW: *far too long pause* Oh! Um, yes. That would be me.

Workshops. Or, as I call them, Classes and why oh why aren't we getting grades for this?

WILLOW: Okay, there's notes here that says "Things to do at the Beach". Um - build sandcastles? Throw a party? Oh! I know! Get totally sunburned and then walk around stiffly for days.

MARIE: Or you could canoe, lay on the beach or talk to some guy named Jarod like these people apparently did.

WILLOW: Then in Applied Dadaism, which my friend Julie would know NOTHING about, they made up silly names and, um, making up names is something I know nothing about. Which boy am I proving tonight. Then they played Dada Poker which is not a totally inappropriate incest thing, even though it sounds like it if you're not pronouncing it correctly.

MARIE: And in Flight and Flying, they learn how to work the controls of the flight simulator which I have never seen, and then take test runs through one of two different sims. While waiting his turn, Cameron, whom I’ve never met, talks to Anakin and English Peter about his gnome.

WILLOW: Principal Washburn announces detention and it's bad news for Molly - hi, Molly! - Dawn, Paige - hi, Paige! - Peter Parker, and Hermione. Oh no! Poor Hermione! Well poor everybody, really. Except Peter Parker who so deserves it and he knows why. Then Veronica, who is hopefully very busy tonight and/or dealing with a stuffed up head due to cold, Anakin - hi, Anakin!, Phoebe, Hermione, and Peter Parker visit Principal Washburn during her office hours. Peter Parker was undoubtedly there to try to suck up and act like he didn't deserve punishment since he's all Mr. Sensitive and In Touch With His Feelings. Don't fall for it, Principal Washburn! Remember it's okay to hit him with a club!

MARIE: And apparently some people still haven’t gotten the memo about the cafeteria food being scary, because Nadia and Pippi had lunch there, along with Sakurazaki, Tyler, Jamie and Cameron. Oh, but the cafeteria food did make the boys’ gnomes leave, which I hear is a good thing. I’ve never met a gnome.

Dorms, also known as Cabins, also known as Gnome on the Range

WILLOW: In the gym this morning Cam tried to get Aeryn to try out for basketball. I hear she's very good at throwing things, Cam! Bring an umbrella!

WILLOW: Later there was basketball practice in the gym, home of the fighting... blue and gold? I don't know if that's the official team names or anything. Either way, go gremlins! Everybody warms up so as not to sprain anything, then Zack and Jamie - hi, Jamie! - play... okay, who wrote 'play with their balls' because come ON, people!

WILLOW: Then Tyler and Peter - that's English Peter, who some people think is a very good basketball player, talked about - um - classes. Yep. Very studious, those two. Finally the stands were busy as people showed up to cheer the players and cheer the cheerleaders and... huh. I think this note here says something about a girl named Willow saying very nice things about English Peter to a girl named Marie? Huh. Fancy that.

MARIE: Willow and Marie sound like very nice girls. And I’m sure English Peter deserves to have nice things said about him.

WILLOW: Then at the Flamingo campfire which, okay, can people please assure me that these fires are not made out of actual animals? Burn wood! Or those Duralogs if you're not into chopping trees. Anyway, Piper, who is an awesome workshop leader, and Veronica, who hopefully drank too much alcohol at the luau and passed out, talk about food and how it's so humid we're practically seeing fish swim through the air. Which? In Fandom? Not that weird. Archie shows up to apologize to Veronica and she's apparently happy when he's all done so Archie? Call in with your secrets because Julie and I might need them.

WILLOW: Xander - hi, Xander! Check your bag for sandwiches! - and Bridge, who my notes are calling 'Bridge, who be like Logan only he be more ferrety' talk with Piper and steal brownies and Callisto steals people's boyfriends. Or possibly something else. I'm not really interested in the details. Moving on to much nicer people, Joxer - hi, Joxer! - stops by and... there's something about him, ropes, Veronica, and Piper. With the brownies. Okay, I'm not judging, but I think Veronica at least owes it to Archie to say something about that before he hears it on the radio.

MARIE: And over in the Meerkat cabin, Buffy talks about siblings with Jaye and Cute Sam, who asks her to the luau, before accusing Nadia and the other Squirrels of stealing the Stickbugs underwear. And accusations are aplenty over there, with Zack accusing the Stickbugs of stealing all the hot water. And I’m really glad my cabin hasn’t gotten sucked into the prank war.

WILLOW: Over at Puffin Cabin where hopefully nobody actually has asthma because then the name's just cruel, Ranma is waiting for Sakurazaki which is like waiting for Godot only with more syllables and Sakurazaki actually shows up even though Al swears she's at the luau which shows that either Al was mistaken, or he's a big fat liar and he so owes Ranma an apology. I recommend cookies.

MARIE: And in Koala, Bel and Phoebe talk about the fight last night. I hope you’re okay, Bel! I’m the only one who’s allowed to annoy you. He also assures Blair that he’s not evil, well DUH. And Phoebe tells Pippi about what happened.

WILLOW: Later Bel and Veronica talk. Or at least that's what the notes say, but they're smudgy. It could be another four letter word but I can't imagine what. Especially since the k at the end is pretty clear.

MARIE: Elsewhere around camp, Willow and English Peter are, according to my notes ‘cute’. Tempe sleeps and Sawyer is there. Isabel thanks Peter Parker for getting her and Greg together. And… this can’t be right… John Crichton and Cedric make the Meerkat cabin invisible? How would they do that?

Town, also known as the place where the mochas are

WILLOW: Sparky Repairs, is open nice and early, presumably to make sure none of the sparks start a fire of some sort as that just seems dangerous. Elle visits the Perk to combat clouds with caffiene, and the theater shows a movie that I'm told has fabulous set design.

MARIE: Buffy and Alec go cell phone shopping at All & Sundries, Elliot gets carded by GOB at Caritas, Becky shows up with her bird, and no one goes to Café Fina. The clinic is busy today though. Alanna is working in the morning and Dr. Lambert in the evening, with plenty of visitors stopping by during both shifts to see Maia and Lana.

Luau, also known as WHERE DID ALL YOU PEOPLE COME FROM!

WILLOW: As our very first special school event ever - that's an event which is fun for everybody, not an event which highlights how, you know, this school is filled with students who are 'special' - we had a Psycho Beach Party luau! Visitors to our fine luau enjoyed the campfire which, again to clarify on names, was a fire in the camp and not the camp actually being on fire.

WILLOW: Either way, it was a popular place to be for folks like Jamie, Alanna, Parker, Cedric, Agatha, Buffy, Izzy, Pippi, Tempe, Jude, Xander, Alec, Briar, Aeryn, Molly, Dean, Anakin, Jack, Piper, English Peter, Tim, Sakurazaki , Gwynn and Dawn. In other words, the whole frikkin school. Sheesh!

WILLOW: While at the fire Jamie and Joxer talked about things that appeal to men whose names start with J, Cally and Joxer met, though I don't understand why Cally's first name is all blurry on this paper. Rory and Parker fight and I'd just like Rory to know that I have it on good authority that a certain female redhead at this school thinks she's nifty even if Parker doesn't. No, not Janet. Not Pippi either. Well they might think you're nifty too, I haven't asked them.

WILLOW: Cedric and Jack are all flirty - get him to try on lipgloss, Jack! He's very cute in it. Buffy and Cute Sam - according to the notes - 'are cuter than puppies leading weetiny bunnies around in baby carriages.' I'm not sure if it's the puppies or bunnies in the carriages there. Grammar, folks! It's fun, I promise. Dean and Dawn are also cute like fluffy kittens with big kitteny eyes that are all 'meow, meow, oh my God notice how cute I am and PET ME!' Only not inappropriately 'cause they're cats. The metaphorical kittens, I mean. Dean and Dawn are not cats as far as I know.

WILLOW: Parker and Isabel talk about girly things, including a creepy guy which is not so much a girly thing as a girly reason why this school could use a Take Back the Night march. Isabel is also cute with Greg who I assume bears no relation to the creepy guy. Or if he does it's not his fault. You can't choose who you're related to. On other upsetting topics, Phoebe talks to Piper about John Connor's nightmares. Warm milk. It'll help with the sleeping.

WILLOW: Dean and English Peter talk about boy and girlkissy with each other. That is they talk with each other about the kissing concept, not that they both were talking about possibly kissing each other some day. At least I hope not. Not that, um, I have a vested interest there.

WILLOW: Anyway, Cam and Molly make with the smoochies, English Peter and I... um, I think the notes say 'Willow' meet up and are possibly cute and I bet Willow was thinking nice things about Peter even if she wasn't saying them. And Faithful tries to eat Bridge which - no! Bad kitty! Xander, get a squirt bottle.

MARIE: There is also a lot of dancing at the luau. Blair teaches Nadia how to hula and then learns a new dance from Pippi, who also dances with Silent Bob. Nadia’s busy, dancing with Walter and Pip and waving to Silent Bob. Pippi talks to Artie and waves to Pip. Willow dances with English Peter and then THEY KISS!?!?

*sounds of girlish squealing*

MARIE: Ahem. Kaylee dances with Blair and then with Joxer who asks her out on a date!

*more girlish squealing*

MARIE: *clears throat* Sorry, I must be coming down with something. Parker, Greg and Isabel, Pippi and Walter, Anakin and Rory, and Dawn all dance.

MARIE: There’s also some socializing on the dance floor, with Tempe and Paige meeting and Pip talking to Kaylee and River.

MARIE: And at the buffet, Sakurazaki talks to Jude and Al, Willow re-meets Paige and I don’t understand how you re-meet someone, and Nadia chats with Tim. There’s also a limbo contest at the luau, but it doesn’t say here who won.

WILLOW: Maybe we're all winners? I pronounce everybody limbo winners! Only don't steal the trophies from anybody who actually got them because that's rude.

MARIE: And the last thing we would want to do is be rude.

VERONICA: What the hell?

WILLOW: Eep!

VERONICA: Willow? And who the hell are you?

BEL: Marie? Willow? What are you doing here?

WILLOW: *sound of feedback, like someone swatting away a microphone* Nothing?

MARIE: Um, we're doing the radio. We thought Veronica got... um.... tied up or something and we wanted to be helpful?

BEL: Seems to happen to her a lot.

VERONICA: *sound of thwapping* No, I was just running a little late.

WILLOW: Oh. Well it's all done now anyway. Yay?

VERONICA: I hope you guys didn't say anything embarrassing.

MARIE: Um, no, of course not, why would we do that?

WILLOW: Embarassing to who? I mean... no. Us?

VERONICA: *sighs* Well, can you take us all, Bel?

BEL: *chokes*

WILLOW: Oh my God I understand if we're being punished but I draw the line at freaky demon sex games!

BEL: Well, I mean, there's demonic stamina and all, but my girlfriend might protest.

WILLOW: And Peter and I had this really nice moment earlier - I mean not that you're not cute and all Bel, but...

VERONICA: Take us BACK TO CAMP! Wow, you're perverts. *sound of more thwapping*

MARIE: You really shouldn't keep hitting him, that's not very nice.

BEL: She makes me cranky.

MARIE: That's my job!

VERONICA: Well, it's my job to do radio and you took care of that for me.

BEL: ...and so do you.

WILLOW: Okay, again not that I am judging anyone but if you and Bel need some alone time for spanking Marie and I can totally walk ourselves back to camp, right Marie?

VERONICA: OH MY GOD WE'RE STILL ON THE AIR!

BEL: And I don't need alone time for spanking.

WILLOW: TMI!!!!

MARIE: Dirty!

BEL: On second thought.....

VERONICA: All right, everyone say good night!

WILLOW: Good night!

MARIE: Good night!

BEL: Night.

VERONICA: Barbossa, we need to talk about better security down here.

*dead air*
