Fandom High Radio, Thursday, November 12th
Good evening to you all, Fandom. I am Arthur Pendragon for WTFH radio, bringing you the Fandom Squirrel Chorus to help lead you into the winter months.
*high-pitched chittering to the tune of Hijo de la Luna*
Thank you, squirrels. We will now be moving on to the actual news.
Sam staffs the library, as is customary for Thursdays, recieving first Chuck - also customary - to discuss whether or not recent events should allow him to vacate his job for the week, while Karla... discusses the recent death that is the cause of Sam's mood. I hate to admit it, but Chuck had a point, Sam. I'm sorry.
Ethics discusses what would get one to the point of killing, which seems to be the topic on everyone's minds today. Master Anakin confesses that he did kill the man they fought in class last week, and there are opinions to be shared on the topic of when one crosses that edge. Raven and Tara are there for their TA duties, and Princess Azula apologises to Master Anakin for her absence.
Professor Ziva had several tracks in store for us today; we drove and Professor Ziva was available after class. Zack and I led the swordplay class through some exercise today in the wake of Vice Principal Deadpool's... unfortunate transformation into a dingo. We fought some creatures in the spirit of training, Zack and I were there, and Vice Principal Deadpool... *clears throat*
*the squirrels follow him in a rousing chorus of Toto's Africa*
... Right. That wasn't what I was going to say.
*some confused chittering*
All right. Moving on--
*the squirrels launch into A Land Down Under instead*
Are you finished?
*excitable chittering*
MOVING ON.
Logic class concerned themselves with the art of defining problems. The class discussed the virtues of rewording a problem to make it easier to deal with, such as, hypothetically, telling someone that one's friend didn't just admit to a crime, he just suffers from an unfortunate mental illness and has decided to inflict it on us all. They reword their problems. The TAs are present, as well as Lady Elizabeth. Oceanography chooses to watch a movie about dolphins, with a lecture and a movie attached.
Professor Drake spent time tipping cows on the Book of Faces, exchanging messages with Mary. Presumably about cows. Or faces. I can't keep track of it. Cordelia visits to apologise for her absence.
Professor Remus is researching 'Thanksgiving' in the office, while Professor Black tackles the flavoured beans.
DORMS
In the dorms--
*squirrels take a deep breath of air, revving themselves up*
IN THE DORMS, Dinah lazed about in her room this morning. Jak visits to bring her something to give her energy, because clearly, that's what Dinah was in need of. She isn't the only one to be lazy, however, as Alex Karev spent the entire morning sleeping.
And then outside the dorms, Jak and Dinah go racing, which I'm sure ended well. No, squirrels, I can see you working up to start something and I won't have it again until the end of the broadcast.
*disappointed chittering*
Well, you could have seen that coming. Layla eats chips while considering some program on the Teevee. Jack Priest considers the validity of seaweed as a food. I'd say that if you have gotten desperate enough to eat seaweed, you must have run through all the maggots in the drinking water already. But that's just my assumption. Jack Burton, meanwhile, had more appreciation for the weed. Right. How's them maggots coming along?
Jaina has pizza on the third floor, which I'd say is a better option. Kennedy tracks down the food like a bloodhound. Ben gave her a belated birthday present - happy birthday, Jaina, I'm sorry I wasn't in time to gift you something. Finally, according to Yakko, relatives flock to the lawyer's office when there's a will involved, and I really, really wish I didn't understand exactly what he was talking about.
... Well, in our case, it would be Geoffrey, not a lawyer.
TOWN
Hold your horses, squirrels, there are still several notes left to go. Professor Mitchell sets up to show a movie, which was, I'm told, terribly depressing. Kate makes a less than noble retreat while she's at it. Maron works T&C, where she discusses violence and Ethics with Tara. Along that same path, Diana comes into Tara's shop to talk about the vegetables. Katchoo and Francine discuss the importance of Merlin-feeding, and trust me, he kills enough rabbits that he doesn't need your concern. Honestly, what kind of wizard turns himself into a bird and can't get out of it?!
*the squirrels manage the opening line of Wind Beneath My Wings*
Oh, shut up. Oz comes in for a burger and, presumably, pestering Priestly at Luke's Diner. At the church, the angel Castiel continues the trend of discussing violence by asking when it is appropriate. Those of us who aren't heathens The parishoners are there to listen. Chuck talks to Castiel about the vegetables he slayed, and Sam... wants to know if you can bring someone back from the dead. I fear that way might lie dark magics.
The play is rehearsed, and the cast and crew gather. Dinah calls out Priestly for badgering the man she's courting - whatever - before comforting Sam about his loss. They rehearse, the crew is ready, Tony has a muffin and Sophie checks in on Geoffrey.
Elena applies herself to her work at Pixie Dust, helping Ino try on dresses blah blah girly things I'm not interested in, and then drinks with Rose before speaking of ethics. Then there's another bit about clothes with Cordelia can we move on.
Finally, we get to the simple openings section of the broadcast. At work, Captain Algren had a sword - wise -, Millie has a good mood, Helen has a horse, Sir Dani has a distraction, Hoshi has a manuscript, Lindsey has a shredder, Sophie has a poster-- oh, and an Aphrodite, Vida has a deceased hat, Jack has a gun and a distraught cash register (I won't even ask), Jon has a website, Ben has an Uno, and Simon a teapot. In the laundry.
I don't suppose anyone would be willing to do my laundry this week for a fee? The pay's good.
But that would be all the notes for today. Good night, Fandom. Squirrels? You may 'take it away' now, thank you. Something classic.
*sound of door opening and closing*
*the squirrels launch into a terrifyingly squeaky rendition of December Is For Cynics before the broadcast e--*
*creak*
I distinctly remember ordering something classic to be sung. Which one of you-- ah, the one with the torn clothes. Get a proper pair of trousers!
*chittering*
Good.
*door slams again*
*squirrely sigh*
*random folk song*
*click*
