Fandom High Radio, Thursday, November 5th
Good evening, Fandom. I am Arthur Pendragon, and this is WTFH. Stop overfeeding the squirrels, they are beginning to get cheeky, and I would hate to have to waste more time disciplining them.
*chitterchitterchitter*
Oh, do shut up. If you're good, I'll bring cashews next week. Anyway, moving on to the news today, starting with the school as per usual...
Sam staffs the library as always, doing research on the line about... something or other. Chuck stops by to hear Sam's pointed denial of the idea that he would be looking at questionable materials, and if it was anyone but Chuck he was talking to, I might have wondered if he was hiding something. However, having that reaction to Chuck is perfectly normal. He has that look about him. Priestly then visits the library to actually look for books, which is a novel idea. More of you should give that a shot.
Master Anakin speaks about love, and why Jedi do not believe in it. I think that may be like saying you don't believe in rocks, if ones that are completely off their rocker, but far be it from me to criticize. The students take note of the fact that Master Anakin appears to be married. Interesting. They discuss whether it's possible to live without love, and the concensus would be no.
Driver's Ed taught us the improtance of caution in dangerous situations, such as emergency highway stops, oversteering and understeering, and water walls. Vice Principal Deadpool had us spar in a normal and reasonable fashion in class this week, which we were all ready for. Then Claire took on Illyria. That was... *pause* A brave choice.
Lady Elizabeth guided her Logic class through a puzzle, which led to some discussion and hopefully solving the puzzle. Finally, Oceanography saw Professor Summer bearing sweets and talk of the tides, and questions were asked.
In office hours, Professor Steve served his time with pride, Professor Drake assembled an army of green cows -- I wish I could be surprised. I really do -- Professor Sirius reads a paper, and Professor Colette convinces Jean to help her assemble the Thanksgiving feast this year.
DORMS
In Lord Leto's room, Kate starts off a cat and ends up a human being once again. Welcome back, Kate. I hope you haven't suffered any hairballs. Elsewhere, Jaina puts her time to productive use on an old computer.
Down at the deck, Effy chooses to celebrate 'Bonfire Day' by setting something on fire. Well, that sounds sensible enough. She explained this to Alex Karev in colourful terms, and then likewise for Leda.
George Cooper is watching hockey on the second floor once again, and winds up forced to explain to Maron that the dog he's got on him isn't actually a dog. Look, Kate, you're hardly the only one today. George argues with Jennifer about the price that should be set on legal advice, while Maron discussed siblings with her. Kyle came in search of George and earned a hockey game while he was at it. This wound up in a debate with Jennifer on the merits of the phrase 'a good game'. From what I've been able to tell about hockey, it would probably involve great injury.
TOWNIES
Constable Fraser was enjoying his time off, a fact that did not change when his fiancee appeared to speak approvingly of penguins.
There was a minor tussle at the gym, as Dimitri found his music had been taken. I am sure the knights are on it and will find the culprit as soon as possible. Rose was rather fond of the silence, however, and according to her the blame should be sought with gremlins. I'm sure.
Katchoo has finally gotten back to drawing today, pausing only to entertain Ino's gloating - now that's not too -- *snicker* -- kind. Then Francine stopped by, and the two of them appear to have forgotten that I have radio today and know everything they're up to.
Tara practiced her magic at the Magic Box, where she was paid a visit by Diana and discussed our Fandom Reserves. The Angel Castiel had his usual insights during the sermon, about what he terms 'schadenfreude'. There were people there to listen, including Francine and myself. Chuck rightly feared that the sermon may be about him, and Tony offers Castiel the loan of a movie that had best not be in any way inappropriate. I am watching you.
Jack Priest and Rose played pool at Fast Eddie's. Elena, Jon, Captain Algren, Millie and Sophie worked, as did Maron, Jen and Priestly, leaving little news to be remarked on barring Jack O'Neill's struggles with beer-tipping cats, Hoshi's forced translation at the Arms Hotel, and-- *snicker* Tony... *snicker* turned himself blue at the Boards. I suppose that's one way to use your magic, Tony, but I'm not sure just how much it will do.
Tully secured his boat for winter, Ben ignored Tino at Caritas, and physician Simon had his usual troubles down at the clinic. And that's about it.
I hope we have provided you with satisfactory news for the day. Do let Captain Jack know of any complaints you may have, especially when they involve the music he plays, and again-- try not to overfeed the bloody squirrels. They are getting spoiled.
... No, I don't need any tea, put that down.
Good night, Fandom. I will see you next week.
