Fandom High Radio, Wednesday, October 28th
Good evening, Fandom. I realise this is not my usual night, but there was something of a scheduling mix-up, so I'm here now.
*chittering*
I don't care if that means you didn't have time to 'prepare', whatever the hell that means. Why are you miming a helmet? Don't pretend I didn't catch you. Run along, now, and get me those notes before I lose my temper.
In Punching People for Fun and Profit, 'bouncing' was the word of the day. It apparently involves 'bouncing' people over the head. Infantry Tactics considered the topic of irregular infantry, something we've had some dealings with in the reserves already, but it won't hurt if we bring it up again. The key was to use skill to reach the lower end of a building.
Maybe a practical exercise...
Adventures in Literature, or 'telling you vague inaccuracies about people you might wind up knowing down the line' discusses Dracula. This time, they've chosen to put such lies to rest, as Lady Wilhelmina turns out to have known him, and discusses that fact. She also answered questions.
Art 101 explored the studio of 'Leonardo Da Vinci', which I'm taking is someone of vast significance, and the students made art as they went along. Defense Against The Dark Arts - wouldn't my father like to sit in on that - discusses disarming before settling down for a movie regarding witches. Dinah and Francine discuss a few things about the movie's timing, which is apparently bad. To finish up, Gabrielle staffed the library today.
DORMS
George Cooper is in his room, bravely fighting the siren call of his romance novel. Girl. He speaks to Beka about trust and Dogs and issues pertaining to the both of them, and Emma steals by to let him know that upsetting Beka is not taken kindly. A bored Mat decides to play dice with George - of course he does. You're a better man as an archer than anything else, Mat. And then Karla is confused on the topic of whether or not she's got a bird in her hair. I am not going to say anything.
Lady Alice faces off with herself in chess, explaining to Jennifer about the significance of the pieces, Kings and Queens, and how they fit into her world. Kyle then visits to join her in the game, and contemplate the nature of Queenhood. Momoko leaves her bed late due to illness.
I was in the Third Floor Common Room this afternoon, passing away the time. Lord Leto joined me to talk about the journey I went on and that kind of thing. Now, I'm going to say this only once, and it is in no way related to the previous bit, but if any of you have inappropriate designs on the Lady Morgana you can just forget about it. Am I clear?
*chittering*
All right. Didi and Lord Leto catch up about their weekends and discuss someone named Jono. She then settles in to watch cartoons, and she and I had some chat. Chuck Bass, who is lucky I haven't flayed him alive yet, comes clean about getting near Morgana's kissing booth last weekend. I am watching you, Chuck. Didi wants to know about his position in the Homecoming court - that poor dance. Chuck and Lord Leto...
While I agree with their assessment of why that harpy signed up for-- Find themselves in the extraordinary luck of having me report on their conversation today. Kate and Chuck discuss their siblings and their association with one another, and then speaks with me about her duplicate worries. Leto's duplicate, that is, not her own. Lord Leto and Kate banter-- oh, of course he does. And Didi and Kate, too, discuss the way Homecoming went. I hope you recuperated from the dunking booth, Lord Leto.
The magic reserves meet with a great quantity of food for the masses. The lot of us mingle, as we do - I spoke to Dinah about the trip we went on. Dinah and Raven are both worried and exhausted about something to do with Karla and Raven's powers. Right. Tara wants to know if Francine has any berries on her cupcake, all right, and Diana has an unfortunate turn when she attempts to comfort Jono about his inability to eat food, as suddenly the cupcakes taste of chalk. Well, that's one completely ridiculous way to go about it. Merlin, of course, takes the time to apologise for the cupcakes and settle all the scores in relation to them.
Raven takes the lead on today's explanations, divulging the finer points of her empathy and... soul-controlling abilities. Leda, meanwhile, explains about being an elf, which gives one the skill to produce illusions, fire powerful blasts, and have pointy ears. The reserve's leaders were there as well, of course, featuring Dinah discussing the details of our trip to Albion with Merlin, and Francine asking him if they can simply hug, nevermind the awkward bits. That's... good. Merlin tells Tony of the end of his and Francine's courtship, and they make plans to go out for ice cream. Tara and Merlin get on organising an official Samhain feast this coming Sunday, for whoever's got an interest. Karla also comes upon Merlin for a good hug like the girls they both are, while Jono decides to debate the nature of styrofoam with him. I suppose that's better than all the hugging.
Francine and Karla also settle for a hug, and Raven shows some concern while Karla offers her apologies, Jon O'Neill offers to shoot someone for her, and Tony offers some distraction, all of which seems to point to the fact that I missed someone and one of you had better tell me what it is, now.
In the realm of leading cheer, which seems like a better venue for so much hugging, Hannibal sets up. They chat, they practice, there's some official business with the coach, and there's always room for an audience.
Bobby partakes of some chocolate bars in the third floor common room later on, and Hayley expresses her joy that he's sharing them. Rose and Bobby argue back and forth on who's shorter, and Rose and Hayley gossip on the topic of Bobby. Yes. I'm sure it was very engaging. Maron proposes that Bobby makes people entertain him before allowing them candy, which I would say is a ridiculous price to pay. Rose wants to see Jaina fight against Dimitri, and honestly, that even makes me curious. Jaina and Bobby talk about the intricacies of chocolate themselves, right, and Hayley commences a conversation so mindbogglingly confusing I'm amazed the squirrels even managed to put a single word to paper about it.
Out in the preserve, Zayne's meditation is interrupted by an owl, thus proving oncemore that meditation is for idiots. Take it from me, Zayne, there are more worthwhile ways to spend your time.
TOWNIES
At the Imperial Brim, Jack Burton hid. Presumably for only a short time, as he was up and bothering Naomi at Stark Industries a few blessed moments later. Gwynn cleans out the stalls at the Gig, where Tim Desmond stops by to be served an apology for Parents' Weekend. Katchoo eyed her sketchbook at the art shop; Karla brought her cupcakes, Ino felt the need to show off and leave a gift, and Katchoo and I had a spirited conversation about vastly important topics I see no need to share with you all. Ino brooded at the Wellspring Arms, where Hurley stopped by to apologise for Homecoming weekend. This is starting to become a distressing trend of late.
Well, of the past few notes. One note. Whatever.
Leda ordered in some flowers from Dinah at the flower shop, and Sophie, Beka, Alex Cabot and Adora all had uneventful shifts at their places of employment.
Is that all?
*chittering*
Oh, for God's sake, build some stamina.
That was all the news for tonight. Sleep well, Fandom, and chase rodents some other night.
