Fandom Radio, Saturday 8/29

[[Continued from here]]

Minsc: Lady Leda assures Sir Chuck that he'll get used to things, and he just wants to know how long it would take. And then the Bartowski siblings babbled at each other as they caught up. Lady Kate keeps an eye out for newbs and Sir Jack asks if she's still planning a cook-off! And Lady Alex and Lady Kate did the wave, while Lady Maron and Lady Kate caught up and talked edible glitter.

...That...makes Boo uncomfortable.

Deadpool: Angela and Shulkie talked about easing newbies into Fandom like one eases an old man into the bath. Naomi got some food and was there all ready to mingle. Momoko showed up all cheerful and asked Worf what the dealio with the hat and apparently it’s to avoid stupid questions about his forehead and that’s ignorant people. Respect weird aliens. I mean, it’s not like he’s Shiar and all bird like and stupid and tryin’ to kill Jean Grey some more. Not cool. Not. Cool. Layla was there for mingling too. Turtle introduces herself to Jak without a c and deduces he’s the strong but silent type.

Algren: I knew a man like that. I couldn't get his name out of him. So I called him Bob.

Deadpool: ...was he an Agent of HYDRA?

Algren: He was Samurai. I was convinced for the longest time that they made him wear a skirt.

Deadpool: Oh, Japan. Tahiri and Ender compare notes on siblings after she apologizes for barging in on him before. Dirty? X-23 wannabe told Ender she totes won a fight and he pointed out that she was looking pretty ragged and she didn’t care because she won. SHE FLIPPED THE BITCH. Layla told Hannibal to take his shoes off, which just confused him, but apparently there are foot fetishists about. MC Skat Kat attacked Tara to be pet and Beka was all gleeful that she was a mage. She just really needs to buff those charisma points man. A bad roll and she's screwed. Ammiright, Minsc?

Minsc: I feel that a significant constitution helps take care of when you're lacking in the charisma. It's worked for me for years.

Deadpool: Jak without a c flopped by Tara who assured him that this place is fine and she was a plant for a week, so... not so fine. Jack with a mullet asked Tara if she'd been scared off yet and she pointed out that she wasn't a newbie. Emma and Jack talked about their siblings and who had the better one. Leto and Jack talked about Emma bein' a telepath and how to keep her out of your head. I hear that thinking about Jean Grey works. Kate kept up on her bribing of third floor people by congratulating Jack on joining them with candy money. God, I want a dreidel now.

Algren: It could keep you amused for hours.

Deadpool: Or minutes. WHO KNOWS? Elle was all up in Alex’s grill about waiting for a cute boy to ask her out and he wasn’t very helpful in that. Emma warned him about breaking newbies and then they flirted and oh dear god in heaven, my brain. Bobby tried to warn Didi about how weird the place was and she was all ‘heeell no, son’. Kate then tried to bribe Didi with her tempting candy money and warned her about guys turning into girls. Layla met Didi and didn't know something and that's just insanity there, man. Insanity.

Ghanima: Someone pass me that bottle please? My throat is getting sore. Hayley introduces herself to Raven, and says that Raven talks funny. I'm sure Miss Roth finds your method of speech odd also, Miss Hayley. Leda and Liz ask why they never seem to see each other, considering that they live in the same room.

Algren: Blindfolds.

Deadpool: Kiiinky.

Ghanima: *sighs* New teacher Drake tells Kate he's getting a feel for the student body, before backing that up and rephrasing...I most assuredly hope so, Professor, and Drake tells Ino that literature can totally be fun, if you let it, and he also demonstrates his shimmer-teleportation powers. He did that for his arrival, also. I do believe my new 'teaching buddy' is an incorrigible show-off. Cordelia hopes that Drake's just an 'older-looking senior,' No, Miss Cordelia, he is not. Drake also says she looks a great deal like someone named Kira, but she corrects him.

Ghanima: Kate welcomes Eric to the awesome floor, and he is excited to learn that the third floor is coeducational. It's just one of the many ways we are an unusual school, Eric. He tells her that he's repeating his senior year because he didn't get in to college. Well now, I do hope none of you have him in your classes. Turtle introduces herself, and Eric makes a joke about her misplacing her shell.

Algren: Turtle had ample opportunity to upsell Turtle & Canary today when Didi mentioned that she'd never been a student before. Didi wasn't surprised to meet a talking frog, and she was quite enamored with Raven's name. Meanwhile, Jo Harvelle was shirtless... Yes. Beka's cat, Pounce, seems to be a draw today, getting the attention of Rose and Elena before Mirax explained different galaxies. Just one of many fun and ununusal points of Fandom that they probably don't mention in the brochure. Turtle and Ino were both on hand to make certain that Fandom doesn't overwhelm newbie Beka, as well.

Algren: Kate welcomed Jonas to the third floor, and Jonas, in turn, assured Beka that the water was just water. Good. This was a school function, after all. Mirax and Jonas then talked about how Mirax knows everything there is to know, having been here a whole two months. Which is about as long as it takes to begin to come to terms with the fact that this place is insane. I'm pretty certain that Turtle is working on starting a movement, because she spoke with Jonas as well. Tahiri and Zane discussed breaking their younger siblings. I assure you, you haven't, yet. Fandom will do that the first time it rains pudding or turns your underwear into lettuce, trust me.

Deadpool: ...your underwear turned into lettuce?

Minsc: And Boo didn't eat them?

Algren: It was pure conjecture, gentlemen. Honestly, now.

Deadpool: Are you sure?

Algren: Mostly. Bobby proved that he knows family resemblances when he correctly identified Jason as Sookie's brother. Jason then hit on Turtle. We're keeping an eye on Turtle, now. What with this whole movement she's trying to start. On the other side of the movement is Jennifer Walters, who told Jason that she's running against Turtle in the upcoming student council elections. Ah. Politics. Robin, who I am assuming is the frog, told Elle Woods that he was sad to see the end of the summer sports season. Because I suppose he's never heard of skiing. Gabrielle then proceeded to mistake Jak for a wild animal. An excellent way to make a new student feel at home around here. Truly.

Minsc: Rawr?

Algren: Rawr.

Deadpool: Rawr.

Minsc: Lady Lois bumps into Sir Clark, but she manages to walk it off. Lady Leda helpfully informs Sir Clark about the shirtless tradition, while Lady Turtle offers to assist Sir Clark in anything he might need. Lady Alex is watching the crowd, and Sir Jonothon is surprised to see Lady Emma, although she does not know him. That happens a lot here. And Sir Bobby has a cookie for Lady Emma and tells her all about the people he's met! Lady Jean and Lady Emma snarked about breakfast cereals and fruit bats. Boo and I have conversations like that all the time! Lady Triela thinks Lady Anemone looks comfy in her tree, while Sir Robin hops up to invite her to go surfing! Since Lady Layla knows things, she gets Sir Jonothon to talk and assures him that people here are not a judgey people. Oh, also, there are squirrels who butt furry noses into everyone business. And have very fine rum! Lady Jean also said Hello! to Sir Jonothon. She is not so used to his manner of speaking, though Lady Turtle seems to take it all in stride. And Lady Leda is pestering Sir Jack about fake siblings!

Deadpool: Worf assures Angela that they're not normally forced into social interaction, but that just brings up the subject of dances. HINT HINT, WORF. Turtle introduced herself to Angela, like ya do. Jaina was there for mingling in case it turned out she was related to anyone. Skywaaaalkers. Rose and Elena decided they prooobably shouldn't plot the doom of newbies where the squirrels can report of them. But, ya know, too late.

Algren: Clearly, they haven't yet learned the fine art of bribery with rum.

Deadpool: Worf is all happy that Cal and his Fabio hair are back to love him like he needs to be loved. Jaina was also glad to see him, but the love of his hair is less known in this case. Leda thought he was new and Cal's all 'RHYME TIME, BITCHES'. No clue how that fits in, but there we go. Elena tried to list why Fandom was awesome to Kennedy, up to and including free booze. She also bumps on into Raven while having an awesome day of awesome. Kennedy... doesn't get Leda's rhyming, but they introduce themselves anyway. Turtle is also there to tell Kennedy what the good bits of Fandom are. Like ice cream. And ponies. And rainbows. And considering how she's all over Morgana, it might be the gay kinda rainbows. More lesbians! YAY!

Ghanima: What is it with you and lesbians?

Deadpool: Dude, lesbians are like the Holy Grail. Turtle was all excited to play welcome committee because that's just what she does, people. Momoko was all 'SWEET SASSY MOLASSY' at not!X-23 getting her ass kicked again and then they talked about home. Home where there is ass kicking. She then goes on to tell Robin the felt frog that she needs to go home more because her parents think she's in a different America. Is it the one where Colbert is president? I wanna live there, man. Lion-o hit puberty and Momoko is now all 'holy crap you're all grown up and where are those muscles from? Take me you wild stallion!'

Algren: Something about that makes my brain hurt. I'll get back to you when I figure out what that something is.

Deadpool: Mirax was happy as a clam to no longer be the new kid. Hurley and Val made faces at each other because he got some. Some what? Some cake? I bet it was cake. Val, don’t you let him take any more cake. Then he was all ‘Omg people know we did it’ at Penelope and no one was mad! Why would we be mad? Didja do something kinky? Did it involve an animal? Dude, that’s not on. He was also all up in Lion-o’s sexy growth spurt. Dude! That ain’t right! Chuck wonders if Val made anyone cry yet, because she should. Make ‘em cry like little bitches. Bitches named Wolverine. Oh yeah, you heard me. Punk got no game. Got. No. Game.

Ghanima: Leda leans up against a tree and tries not to seem twitchy while Frog-Robin is playing his guitar and singing. Cordelia bitches to Leda about having to room with a boy, and not even a cute one. Miss Cordelia, allow me to introduce you to the concept of a radio broadcast. Thanks to our lovely squirrel reporters, everyone knows everything, and now everyone knows how shallow you are. Congratulations, and if your roommate puts a frog in your bed, now you know how he found out. Cordelia also vents about roomie Calvin to Turtle, and asks why Deadpool is wearing pajamas and what is wrong with this place anyway.

I think I will let our beloved Vice Principal answer that question. Deadpool?

Deadpool: If they were pajamas, I don't think I'd have so many weapons hidden on me. C'mon people.

Minsc: Not good enough! I sleep in armour over here.

Deadpool: ...that sounds uncomfortable.

Minsc: Not as uncomfortable as a sword through your chest. I have a stalker vampire not-girlfriend, too, remember? I use protection.

Algren: I might never be able to rid myself of the mental image. *Pause* Especially since laundry day.

Deadpool: Dude, gay.

Ghanima: Maron reassures Cordelia that she can get a room-change at the office, if need be, and Jennifer Walters tells Leda about running for Student Council, which she says is not a power grab but rather just to look good on her college applications. Yes. Because Maker forbid we actually want to serve our peers and provide leadership. That would be tacky.

Algren: As it would turn out, high school politics aren't much different from the politics that I left behind in my own time when I came here. Huh.

Ghanima: Griff is a little down about people leaving, but Alex reassures him that he's still here. Alex tells Rose he's been very nice today, by which he means he's avoiding the new kids, and Rose replies that her new little sibling doesn't talk. Do we have a speech pathologist on-staff?

Deadpool: Do I count?

Algren: You're confusing 'pathologist' with 'pathological.'

Deadpool: Oh, riiiiight.

Ghanima: Angela Martin gripes about Hannibal going shirtless, which is a losing battle with the male students around here, and Ino is pleased to see Hannibal spreading the shirtlessness around. Hannibal says Layla asked about taking his shoes off, and he added the shirt just to be nice. Cordelia wants to know why "Hannibal couldn't have been her roommate, dammit, and says she needs a moment to appreciate the pretty." It's always so nice to hear about the students bonding over such deep and meaningful discussions.

Algren: This is why there is still human life on planet Earth. Sigh.

Ghanima: Eleanor gives Jak some strange looks while Rose is on the lookout for 'hot guys' -- why do we read these notes again? Leda asks if Ino's done any newbie-hazing, and insists that it's good for them. No, Leda, it is not. Griff tells Ino that he thinks the free food is to get people to show up, and both admit that it was what brought them there. Well, I suppose there are worse reasons.

Ghanima: Hinata takes a seat and crowd-watches, and Yakko has a movie theater seat with popcorn. Robin asks if he likes the seat, and Yakko says it "squeaks whenever he does this!" and then he placed a box of mice on the seat. I don't think I understand the joke. That was a joke, right? Diana asks if the popcorn is for sharing, and Yakko plays dumb before explaining it's just a prop. That is a cruel thing to do to the popcorn. And while all this is going on, Effy is smoking on the roof of the dorms. Miss Effy, you may be the sanest person on the island right now.

Algren: Ellie and Zane met for the first time despite both having been around for a while, and they discussed little siblings, which was a popular topic for today. Bobby then proceeded to attach himself to Jaime like a puppy on the grounds that Jaime is Jean's little sibling. Kate and Jaime spoke about stuff that people know. This is enthralling. Vague, but enthralling. The leader of The Turtle Movement informed Jaime that the phrase 'this place is different' means that he ought to be expecting Fandom to... Well. To be Fandom, and probably soon. Ellie seems to have done well for herself. Jaime was convinced that she's normal after his conversation with her. Ino thought Triela looked like crap, which is a trend lately, Sam and Chuck spoke about who Chuck wouldn't sleep with, which is probably a small list, and Priestly and Sam were lonely now that their significant others have left the island. I weep for you both. Truly.

Deadpool: Wanna hug it out?

Minsc: GROUP HUUUUUUUG!

Algren: Please, no. I might not survive that at present.

Ghanima: Don't be such a downer, Algren. Group hug!

*sounds of a struggle*

Deadpool: Awww, he likes it!

Algren: I might leave on a stretcher tonight. Oh, God. Cordelia decided very vocally that she ought to be dating Sam. Run, Sam, run. Robin figured that Morgana looked pretty, which the squirrels insist is a given on the grounds that she's Morgana. Mat flirted with Rose, Turtle the politician let Mat know that the food was free, and Mat attempted to solicit a kiss from Ino. Subtle. Truly. Turtle continued her attempts at world domination by speaking with Hayley, who was a little confused as to how she got here. I got here on a boat.

*Cue Music* On a boat, on a boat on a *FEEDBACK* boat!

Minsc: ...hey, wait a second! I know that song! ...mmm. Mermaids.

Algren: ... Of course. Ino clearly got over Mat's attempts to kiss her, because she nearly deafened poor Cal with a shriek of joy when she realized he was back on the island. Hinata was just happy to be here, as should we all be, and Jennifer continued her own campaign efforts by debating with Maron about the best way to break in the new students. I stand by my conviction that the best way is patience, and Fandom itself.

Minsc: Sir George asks about the state of Lady Maron's siblingness, which is still null! And Lady Turtle continued to mingle the afternoon away! Lady Hinata introduced herself to Sir Jonas and asks how he's settling in. Sir Cal hangs out by a tree, presumably not the one Lady Anemone was hanging in. Lady Hinata and Lady Diana discuss cats, especially if Lady Diana is worried that Sir Samuel might run off. And then Lady Ellie is totally flustered because Sir Eric confirms that she is hot. Lady Turtle is shocked and amazed at Sir Lion-O's summer transformation, while Lady Diana and Lady Harper discuss colours and personalities, because they are girls. Sir Eric, the new one, introduces himself to Lady Harper, and Lady Hinata checks in with Lady Hoshi. Lady Angela, the new one, then informs Lady Ino that people need to wear shirts. I prefer armour myself; much more protective!

Deadpool: Or kevlar! Not that I wear it outside that movie where I was smokin' hot.

Algren: You fail to make sense to me. Again. I'm going to just err on the side of reason and smile and nod.

Minsc: Sir Chuck, the old one, eats, and this is news. While Lady Eleanor has tea and a scone because she is very British and proper! Sir Eric, I am not sure which one, is hanging out happily, gaily, if you will, while Sir Bobby wonders if Sir George knows any of the newbs. Sir Tony also meets Sir Bobby and explains how he was here last term, but not the summer. Sir Jason is a rambling man, and Sir Zach with an H not a K! is sketching and tries to draw Sir Jonothon, because he is cool looking, even if he gets a little pissy, or so we can assume.

Deadpool: And dear god we're done. Pizza?

Algren: By this point, anything. Just so long as it isn't in here.

Ghanima: I vote for pizza and bowling. Have you ever been bowling? I am convinced it is the best sport ever. You throw a giant ball, and try to hit pins. Usually while drinking or eating pizza.

Minsc: By Tempus' mighty blade, why are we not there now?

Deadpool: I DON'T KNOW. LET US FLEE!
