Fandom High Radio, Tuesday, July 7th

Good evening, Fandom. I am Arthur Pendragon, radio host on Tuesdays. And these are the squirrels.

*chittering!*

If you hear anything pawing at your window in the night, don't be afraid. They've probably just gotten bored and are out to make your lives interesting by sitting you down in this booth and throwing notes at you. In which case: don't drink their coffee, and for the love of all that's holy don't let them sing.

One foot wrong, I'm gonna fall--

No singing. Especially not you, black squirrel. I don't mind, but you sound like you've just swallowed something rotten.

The elk has turned purple. That's welcome news.

Anemone is remiss in her duties, and late to the library. In Debt class, Professor Lily offers cookies and talk of a million dollars. Followed by introductions, which is not at all a word I'd see popping up more frequently tonight. An assumption in which I'm immediately proven wrong by Professor Tyler, whose introductions involve soap. Ino and Anemone are present to TA, while Sam and Claire agree on the fun of soap, and Chuck sniffs some. I'd say I was surprised, but I've met Chuck.

Professor Mitchell discusses old movies and the birth of cinema. Jack and Emma take the opportunity to catch up about roomies. I'm sure Professor Mitchell appreciated that. And why look. There's more introductions involving film. George Sands is the TA this term, while Professor Mitchell finds himself faced with Bobby and a student turned cat. I miss the days when saying something like that still felt like news. George then drops something off.

Flight and Flying does pledges, flying, racing, chatting and, of course, introductions. This is my surprised face. You can't see it, because this device only transmits the sound of my voice, but trust me, it's here. Jess feels that being named Master Anakin's TA is a clerical error. Accept the honour. Don't be a coward. Master Anakin then speaks to Peter about flying without a ship and how it disturbs him. Quite frankly, the whole ships thing as it is is just a bit insane.

...

Although fighter jets look interesting. Claire visits to bring Peter a gift, in the end.

Creative Writing features Professor Rick's new Jar-o-Prompts, with a lecture and... let me see...

Oh, of course.

Introductions.

Bobby, Valentine and Jon have all not had enough after these introductions, so they show up to talk some more. Finally, Professor Veronica returns with a class on photography, which features a lecture, and let's just say no one introduced themselves and everything went smoothly, shall we? Finally, Professor Fred arrived in his office, only to find someone being incredibly perky at him. Dinah? No, wait, Elle. She, wonder beyond wonders, introduces herself.

DORMS

Tahiri finds herself out of sorts and retreats to the preserve. Karla pays visit, no doubt to ensure her safety. Triela visits to find places to hide weaponry in case of an emergency - something to take up with the reserves - and they decide upon a visit to the shooting range. Ben also visits to comfort her, in the end.

On the beach, Griff teaches Fiona some hand-to-hand, something which she picked up on rather quickly. As is her wont. In the Wendy the Werewolf Stalker living room, Leda giggles. My god, and I thought nothing could beat the introductions.

Elsewhere, on the Sixth Floor, George Sands is about to lock himself in - all right then - when Dinah comes along, asking why. Which is something I can't blame herself for for once. Why?

In his cabin, Reese finds himself sick and shaking. Rose comes by to care for him, and to take him to the clinic. I hope tomorrow sees you well.

Zack was being his usual solemn self alongside Lord Leto and myself at the reserves meeting this week. I'd like to repeat that it's open to all who'd like to contribute to the effort of defending our homes here; the fighters meet on Tuesdays, the sorcerers on Wednesdays, and the Support Services on Fridays.

Everyone arrived. Ino and Triela made good use of their time by making faces at one another. Karla assured Jon that she didn't drop a wall on anyone. That's reassuring. Layla informs Ben that she 'knows stuff'. She does that, Ben. Just imagine it cuts back on introductions. Turtle and Layla also exchange pleasantries, while Triela discusses the break with Ben.

And then, yes, everyone introduced themselves. It's vital to keep an overview of what everyone's capable of. We had maps available, and we were present, of course. Ino was off being pleasant about something, while Merlin kept to my side.

At the main campfire, Turtle brought s'mores, which apparently means it was the opposite of a sausagefest. Elle arrives to say she's had quite enough - well, that's useful information - and Rose warns Elle about Lord Deadpool after the fact. Your ability to manage that astounds me. Another Elle wanders in to be cheerful, and to discuss newness with Rose. Hopefully also with a warning about Lord Deadpool. She also mentions to Dinah that she's never gone camping before. Good luck. Hinata brings her cat to the forefront, and they make a lot of fuss and noise about it.

Hinata declines the s'mores, but accepts Elle the Double-Yoo's invitation to talk about pets. And Turtle's hotdog.

Rose congratulates Turtle on starting the fire. I'd say something, but I know the most of you can't even manage one. She also discusses the bouncy cabin with Dinah. Katina, you have my sincerest sympathies. That hunting offer's still valid. Dinah also talks about the newbies, which is the third party equivalent of introductions, so let's spur this along. Bobby wishes to be bribed, and Gabrielle is, I cite, 'super happy' at Rose. I mean it, Katina. Find me. Then Turtle and Gabrielle discuss coffee. Just don't drink it. Especially not if it involves squirrels--

*chittering*

--Shut up--

*silence*

--or Dinah. Bobby then speaks to both Gabrielle and Turtle about his roommate being a cat. No doubt the one that was plaguing Professor Mitchell earlier.

Finally, in non-introductionary news, Zayne manages not to take his arm off. Congratulations, Zayne. I'm sure your parents are very proud.

TOWNIES

Loki staffed the MHA lobby with some demotivational posters--

*chittering*

What do you mean, 'when's my birthday'?

*chittering*

... Right. Let's move on from the demotivational posters, if you're capable of it. Sir Daisy was pleased with the decorations, but inquired as to whether she should still feed Loki. I won't get involved in that. Haley visited in order to be educated. About... video games. Right. Hinata, Ino, Layla and her vaunted knowledge, Morgan - new resident -, Elle, Adam, Jack and Fiona, before she was squirreled off by someone - don't even think about it, squirrels - all go about their business. And failed to introduce themselves. There's a novelty.

Prince Edward is out of sorts - again, a novelty - until Ino visits to cheer him up by singing at him. I'm sure it was lovely. Mary found herself in a good mood at the hotel, until Charlotte came in with some gossip.

Lady Penelope returns and takes to the park, where she greets Tim, and then astounds Hurley with her appearance. I'm going to take that as a good thing, although it's hardly difficult to astound Hurley.

Jackie--

... *chittering*

... Opens her store, and meets the Deputy Mayor. No. No, that's ridiculous, that could never replace a sword. You'd look like a complete and utter tit. Max got the grand tour, and Valentine solicited for a job. I... hope it works out for you. Katina also stopped by the store, but mercifully didn't bore us with details. George met Maron to eat entirely too many sweets - that explains a bit. Ino thought her time was best-spent at the beach, where she mainly spent an awful lot of time being yelled at. I wonder why. Valentine actually has to stand around for a while until Ino notices her. You're slacking.

There is a rehearsal at the Boards, of course. And Geoffrey was... a beaver.

Well, at least he didn't introduce himself.

They snack and Ender welcomes Karla back to Fandom. Dinah and Jack speculate whether or not the beaver is Geoffrey, and considering the island, I'd opt yes. It's what tends to happen. Priestly was also fairly sure it was Geoffrey, and baffled with Dinah over the fact that he even showed up. Honestly, at this rate, animal transformation is no excuse for slacking, is it? Prince Edward informs Dinah that he's been thinking, which the squirrels feel should terrify the lot of us. I really have no idea why. It pertains to Lady Adora, and how someone gave him bad advice in regards to her.

Priestly is concerned about Prince Edward as well - again, I have no idea - but That Frog was quickly reassured that Edward was, indeed, fine. Dinah offered Geoffrey some help - just run away - and Priestly sympathised.

To make matters worse, Marshall was late at the pub, barring spontaneous appearances by certain teachers, but on the bright side, both Martha and McCoy are real physicians. Something for which Kyle was no doubt grateful.

I think that's all for the day--

*chittering*

For the last time, none of that. I don't need the studio decorated, you'd only wind up making it look like someone threw up in it. Squirrels, pass me the bottle of rum; Fandom, I hope you have a good, safe night, and see you next week.

*chittering*

Yes, I realise that, I was being--

[No. No, that's ridiculous, that could never replace a sword. You'd look like a complete and utter tit. *much, much giggling*]

"HEY!" Dinah was not about to be deprived of caffiene any time soon, thank you very much.
