Fandom High Radio, Wednesday, April 29th
Evening, Fandom. Classes are over and finals have been had. I hope you've all found the opportunity to celebrate it. And no, the play doesn't count as such.
Soon, new students will find their way to our shores and the old will leave us. Tonight, that day's still to come. On with the notes.
DORMS
Today, Tahiri awaited a spar with Dinah. And if that isn't something to fear, I don't know what is. Ben warns her to avoid training so hard as to bruise next time. There's a point where it does stop being effective. Lord Leto kills his boredom in the salle for once, both with Tahiri and Dinah's help. I'm sure.
Claudia sets up a 'make-over shop', whatever that is, in the common room. It is apparently meant as a rebellion against one's parents. Or to give them heart attacks; the notes are not clear. I wouldn't... advise as much. Toby wanders in to consider her 'soap opera'. Is that anything like the theatre? Chad mourns the lack of hair to share with Claudia, as apparently his own is sacred, and his cat... doesn't... have any.
Because that's not ridiculous.
Robin the giant frog scares Claudia with his appearance. Robin, just... don't. Claudia then attempts to divest Jack of his 'mullet', whatever that is.
Sam is forgoing his duties in his room. Peter shows up to catch him in the act. Summer spends some time alone in her room until.. K-Mart. K-Mart? Comes by to ask for her opinion. Get a new name? Meanwhile, Dojima phones someone, but the notes don't go into it.
TOWNIES
First of all, I joined Sir Minsc in his office to speak about the marks he was giving. Later today, after putting up some posters, Lord Deadpool hosted an 'ANTM party'. I've no idea what that means, but considering this is Lord Deadpool we speak of, I think we can let it go. There are several there to mingle. Sarah, in particular, meets with both Steve and Lord Deadpool. They watch the show - ANTM then, I presume? - and speak of it. Lady Ghanima wishes to know whether the performers actually eat anything. I'd... hazard a guess and say yes. Steve explains how the starved look is 'in'. ... Has there been a famine somewhere, then?
Lord Deadpool is astounded by Steve's interest in models. Sir Minsc tells Lady Ghanima the girls are supposed to be sacrificed to-- ah. It's a cult, then. No wonder they're starved. Someone should ride out to rescue them. Where are they? Sarah also comments on them to Lady Ghanima. Sir Minsc is more interested in their clothes. ... I hardly think that's the most important part. Lord Deadpool then explains censorship to Sir Minsc, which I suppose has something to do with the clothes and the famine. I hope he's dedicated to it.
Katina staffs Strokes of Genius, where Ino visits to dangle from the ceiling. I'd be surprised, but I have to report on her speaking to plants every week. Claire pays visit, but she speaks of music and religion rather than doing unspeakable things to the ceiling. Speaking of Ino, she manned the Wellspring Arms again, where she discussed manatees with Cal. That's about perfectly in line with everything else.
At Android's Dungeon, Sarah devours a sandwich. Jack pays Naomi his usual visit at Stark's. At Things Reborn, Cal and Claire spend some time together in anticipation of the end of the year. Sir Daisy and Sir Dale boggle over the amount of paperwork at the Knight's Station. It is part of your dutiesas much as I get it. Tully and Murdock are in a decent mood overall at the lighthouse, which is fortunate, as they discuss plans. Johnny and Hinata discuss the future at Luke's Diner. It seems a theme. Jeff hides in a closet in order to avoid someone. Right. I hope it wasn't Turtle, as she found him regardless. Liir's more occupied with grilling at Cafe Fina, but he finds time in his busy schedule to offer Ino a hug, and some awkward conversation.
That happens quite a bit around here, doesn't it?
Peter takes Dinah for a flight to celebrate her day of birth. I am not going to dwell on that sentence. Sir Daisy prepares dinner for Ben. Lady Charlotte is far too preoccupied with work to pay Lady Wilhelmina any attention at the Perk. Robin bakes a cake to celebrate Sir Fraser's upcoming day of birth as well. Turtle and Amber discuss their futures as well, and there's talk of a-- girl's night out. Right.
At the clinic, physician Martha gains some extra help in the form of one Samuel Cormick. Welcome to the island.Get out while you can. At Caritas, Lady Penelope distributes free drinks. This is fortunate, as John and Gavin arrive to partake of quite a few of them. As does Lady Penelope herself, it would seem. Ben fears that it might be dangerous - don't worry. I'm sure they'll live. Gavin discusses the future with Lady Penelope - being the future of his hangover. Hurley is of course also present, to drink shots with Lady Penelope. Just be careful of what you've put in them.
Dinah's there for a drink, and we can clearly tell that will end badly. Tony anticipates on this - I suppose tomorrow will show whether or not he was succesful. Amber joins her in it. Lady Penelope and Cal discuss manatees again, and I'd blame it on the drinking if it hadn't been for the townie notes. Dinah stops him short by mentioning how she and Amber are to take the stage and sing once they're pissed enough, and now I feel especially fortunate for being here instead. Hinata is wary about being there. I hope someone looked after her. Who... isn't Dinah. Merlin came to check on Dinah's progress as well, but hopefully not for another drink. You don't want to see him when he's had a go at the gin again.
And... *rustling of papers* I believe that was all for the day. Let's not call this a calm before the storm, a good night to you, Fandom, and good tidings.
