Fandom Radio, Monday, October 20
Dean: What do you mean we have to start? We can't start because the part of we who isn't me isn't here yet.
*squirrels chittering*
Give it a few more minutes -- if he's not here by then, I'll do this by myself then go and kick his ass.
Sam: Hi! Sorry, I'm here. I didn't mean to--I lost track of time. Sorry. Am I really late?
Dean: You were about to get rousted out of bed by some pissed off squirrels.
Sam: I wasn't in bed. I just wasn't watching the clock.
Dean: Dude, some advice. If you have somewhere to be, set an alarm before you start the sexxing.
Sam: I wasn't--that's not what--I just didn't realize how late it was, okay? But I'm here now, and that's what matters.
Dean: You're wearing mismatched socks.
Sam: I haven't done laundry yet from the trip. Really. Can I start on notes now, please?
Dean: Sure Sammy, wouldn't want to hold you up from...anything.
Sam: *grumbles*
Schoooool
Sam: Ahem. Yes, classes were back in session today - unless you scheduled yourself to not have any classes on Mondays, in which case, I hope you enjoyed your continued vacation. Care for Magical Creatures talked about chimeras in all their various forms, and then the students made their own chimeras, and got to talk to a griffin if they so chose. Jeff and Jan were there for TA duty, and Minsc apologized to Jan for not realizing that he sees griffins as enemies before making him be around them in class.
Engineering class learned about technological advancements by watching a movie, which is always a nice way to get back into things after a break. The Art of War talked about how to conceal your motives and whether or not subtlety and secrecy is important in battle, before playing Risk. Physics class talked about relativity before having time to work on their final projects. And Basics of Alchemy talked about silver before finishing up their tinctures.
Cal opened the library and proceeded to make a mess, which I really hope he cleaned up before Ino came in for some Serious Business. Claire also stopped by, and talked to Cal about Parents Weekend, and Temari came in for her weekly quiz. And Nathan and Tyler both had office hours like the good, responsible teachers that they are.
Dean: Who are you trying to suck up to -- Nathan or Tyler?
Sam: I'm not trying to suck up to anyone. Can't I just be nice in my interpretation of the notes?
Dean: *coughs* Suck-up. *coughs* The self defense club met in the gym and talked about a plan for sudden assaults. Murdock was there to advise and Summer apologized to Hoshi for missing last week.
Dooooorms
Dean: So over in the dorms, Lee got a message, Gavin wrote a letter home, Chuck contemplated websites for burlesque, and Reno and Rikku had a conversation that started out as haiku and ended up in a fight. Poetry -- never leads to anything good.
Sam: Tell that to all the people who are only famous because they're poets.
Dean: And how many of them died tragically?
Sam: Okay, in this sole instance, you have a point.
Dean: I always have a point. Sammy, Dad and I all got back to Fandom today and I spent the rest of the day just lazing about until Alec stopped by and then there were things that squirrels don't need to know. Meanwhile, Sammy went to class and then unpacked until Peter dropped by and I'm assuming that they did things that squirrels don't need to know too. Hey Sammy, did you give him the stuff you bought?
Sam: I'm pretty sure that falls into the "No one but Peter needs to know" category.
Dean: I gave Alec his presents. So Petey? If you're listening and Sammy hasn't given you anything, he's got gifts for you. Pester him 'til he hands them over.
And in non-sex shop souvenir news, up in the fifth floor common room this afternoon, Hurley made chocolate-loaded brownies. Penelope upon discovering this, offered to help with the baking, and also thanked Angela for matchmaking at Homecoming because it was a success. Aw, you go Penelope. Angela was also interested in brownies and Hurley asked how the matchmaking went. Well it sounds like there's at least one in the win column with Penelope so I'd call that a success.
And this evening down in the third floor common room, Peyton paid more attention to her drawing than the tv, and was asked by Dick if she's got anything light, fluffy or exciting going on.
Sam: I hope she does, if only because she seems like someone who deserves it.
Tooooown
Sam: Mary unpacked from her trip, so I guess we weren't the only ones who went out of town for the weekend. Chad was listening to bad JPop at Groovy Tunes while Ender was working on the computer at Stark Industries, and got checked on by Tony to see how he's progressing. The mayor and his dog were at Town Hall, and Robin was there as well, trying not to stress out about her sister coming this weekend. Stressing won't help, unfortunately. At this point, all anyone can do is stock up on alcohol and chocolate for when the unwanted family members finally leave.
Liz had her shift at The Arms Hotel, Joan was reading up on flowers over at Covent Garden Flowers, Worf was apparently sporting some very fabulous hair at Wellspring Arms, and Sokka was throwing pencils at the ceiling at Turtle and Canary, which makes me wonder how much he values his shins. Coyote was outside Coyote Medicine shirtless and drumming, and it seems to have been a successful customer draw because Murdock came in to see what he was selling.
Dean: What was he selling?
Sam: Well, I'm assuming it's medicines of some kind. Issun and Ammy were awkward at Strokes of Genius, Bender took care of the horses at The Gig, Lacey made sandwiches at Luke's Diner, and Alex was bored like a bored thing at The Magic Box. Arya and her sword arrived in town, and were greeted by Mary, and Warren also got a sword during his lesson with Kurogane. Luckily, there were no sign of swords at Caritas, unless the zombies were hiding something from Arashi.
Dean: That would be kinky. Also, disgusting.
Sam: Yeah, I'm going to go with disgusting over anything else.
Dean: So, any more notes?
Sam: Um...no, I think that's it.
Dean: Great. That means I can head back and pick up where I left off with Alec and you can do that stuff I'm not supposed to mention on radio with Peter.
Sam: I don't know what you're talking about. I'm going to go spend the rest of my night with Scout.
Dean: Uh huh.
Sam: Yeah, uh huh. And that's going to start now. Say good night.
Dean: Night. Say good night to Peter for me when you see him.
