Fandom Radio [Thursday, October 2nd]

"Hello, Fandom. I feel like I should have watched the debate tonight, but I had important tending of bars to do, and stuff. Also, I kinda feel like Alaska is too close to Canada for me. I'd just end up more embarrassed and indignant due to proximity to my homeland.

And FYI, you can't see Russia from my dad's house.

Classes, which you losers had to attend

Lit talked about length. Boys and girls, just so you know, size does matter. Stop lying to yourse -- oh, book length. Duh. Um, anyway, many people listened, but Peyton was bad and got caught passing notes. Sigh. Learn to note-pass correctly. There was discussion of length of leisure reading, and original works, and episodes. There was also a teacher and TAs, natch.

Leadership discussed values and censorship, and there was a lecture, and then there were groups, and of course, there was a teacher.

Aviation talked about World War I and...I guess he brought his dog. Okay. I wish I could bring my dogs to work. It's not fair. Apparently teachers get to, and Benton gets to take Dief like, every day. But I can't take mine!

...I mean, I think I can't. I know I can't, in the case of the bar, because hi unsanitary, but I wonder if I could just let them sleep under my desk when I'm doing my sexy deputy thing.

Anyway, Mac and Jack naturally were way more interested in the dog than in the boring lecture or the teacher.

And naturally, Sam opened the library so that Peter could come in and make out with him, and Lucas could come in, presumably also to make out.

Ronon was bored during his office hours, and he and Anakin got bit and -- oh HEY, that was Ronon? Ooooooooh. Um, anyway, they thought they were Sonny and Cher. Yeah. Yeah. In other offices, Benton...looked into anniversary gifts, and squirrels, you guys can build tiny clever tents but you can't give me more detail than that in notes?

*chitters*

Whatever, I'm mad at you. Anyway, Wade talked to him about how he's the new Veep. Ooooh, guys, the Canucks are taking over all the positions of power. Mwahaha. Anakin and Jaina talked about their nemeses in his office, presumably before he turned into Sonny. The Doctor was all tinkery during his office hours, and Mike got a visit from Murdock while Lily graded. Lily! I have to tell you something. ...I forgot what, but you have to remind me later and I'll think of it.

Dorms, where the poor little losers sleep

Toby got a visit from Penelope because he has the syph. ....oh, Toby. Mac had issues hacking today, and Dick caught Ned being awkward and weird with some dancing thing, so hold your shock there. Ino visited Liir and they chatted about her new job and her StuCo awesomeness. Yaaaaaaaaaaay, Ino! And finally, Hannibal slept with a magazine -- kinky -- while Rikku and Reno had pet time. Like as in time with their pets. Minds out of the gutter, please.

And yeah, remember that thing about Anakin and Ronon being gremlin-bitten? And thinking they're Sonny and Cher? They sang 'I Got You Babe,' natch, and Dick got flashed by Cher -- er, Ronon. John, of course, was horrified, and Indiana watched the show but refused to join in. Hurley requested 'The Beat Goes On,' while Jess said he was too young for this music, and wow I feel ancient now. THANKS. Hannibal got a wink from...Cher-slash-Ronon, and Tahiri was traumatized -- as were we all -- by Anakin-slash-Sonny. Ben wondered with her if they could please be blind now, and John explained that this is how the gremlin bites work. Meg and her agents stopped and stared -- ooh, agents, fancy -- and Savannah asked for 'Bang Bang.' Adam just kinda stared, as did Hinata, Gwen and Jack.

Town, where the awesome people reside

Cal went into work sans crutches at Luke's, while Tony looked up demons at The Boards. Katina was sketching at Stroke of Genius when Liir popped in to ask about art supplies. Peyton wasn't in the greatest mood at Groovy Tunes, while Eliza was minus an E on her mailbox at Convent Garden Flowrs. That's F-L-O-W-R-S. Ino landed herself a job, too, as mentioned earlier. Tyler did his best to pulverize a punching bag at the gym, while Hoshi was...grossed out by beer at the Arms. We can never be friends, Hoshi. Jamie helped Apu through a tofu dog crisis at Turtle and Canary, while Tony couldn't find his welder at Stark Industries and got a visit from Bumblebee, who needed an exam. Bumblebee's a big robot thingie. Just so you guys know. I was confused for a second too until I remembered. Mr. Summers totally read and meditated over at Wellspring Arms, and Rosie banged on some metal over at the Gig. Oooh, I would think that'd be all cold against your back. Myn and Eric were totally not having a date, except they were, but then they were...randomly naked and had to streak through town. Um, even I'm not that fast on a first date. Wow.

Over in Caritas, I wore leather pants to work. I'm still wearing them now. They're hot beyond all reason, yes. I also got a visit from the lovely Cher, who sang for us and signed a few things for me. Benton, natch, came in and was totally oblivious to the whole pants thing until he clued in and now he's following me around like they might spontaneously fall off or something.

In the clinic, Romeo checked with Martha to see if he could lose the sling, and Simon got himself a job.

And that's it! I'm heading home in my awesome leather pants, and hope everyone has a lovely, lovely night."

[fbsdjfbsjdf stupid LJ crashed right around 1:45, when I was finishing, so my apologies for the laaaaaaateness. I blame Sarah Palin, personally.]
