Fandom Radio, January 24

Hellooo Fandom! This is an appreciative Rich Tozier, bringing you the news and mocking for today, with some help from my new best friends, the squirrels with rum.

And just to reassure anyone who may have misinterpreted yesterday's class topic, don't worry-- things can only be 'too soon' when they happen in my life.

School stuff (aka Boring stuff)

The topic for Fandom Invasions is Alien Invasions and Jello Dragons. The obvious question here-- what flavor of jello, and can you eat them? *chittering* It appears that they come in a variety of flavors. Dibs on the red ones.
Oh, people took notes, because that's what you do in class, and then they got to get attacked by said dragons. Luke the TA manages to not get slimed, which is a shame, and Winchester is unhappy with the Danger Shop.

Conflict Management makes me sad, and has a quiz. And then they have a lecture and take notes, which is like, double or triple the suck. TA Chris is there, good for him, I guess. And so is Wilson, although the squirrels tell me that no one wanted to talk to them. Don't feel bad, no one ever wants to talk to me, either. I think it's because we don't offer rum. I hated squirrels--*chitter!* No, not anymore, that's the point. They gave me booze, I give them undying friendship.

Ethics was about pride and humiliation. Everyone except Andrew listened to the lecture. *chitter* Yeah, I know, I'm kind of scared of him too, I don't know if I'd doodle.
There was talking, about if humiliation is necessary to learn, and then everyone talked about admitting mistakes. I wouldn't have much to contribute, I never make mistakes. Jo the TA was there for your TA needs, and Anakin was too. Not for TA needs, sorry. For teacher needs.

In French, people learn how to say stuff, like where they're from and what they do. They also get handouts and partner up to do French-y things. Jean-Paul is there for you.

In Tactics, defensive installations are the topic, which sounds exciting and suitably military-y, and everyone listens to the lecture. There's apparently something off with the animals, and Sokka wants to know if Kerrigan's okay. What? *chitter* The squirrels would like to say that there's nothing wrong with them, thanks. I'm sure everyone is concerned.
Everyone defends their bases. moody-looking Kerrigan and cheery River are around to talk to.

A bridge is at the library, opening it...what? *chittering* *rustling of paper* Sorry, Bridge does this. Squirrels, not so much for the capital letters. Bridge and Sky make plans to hang out. Mike Cannon looks at books about computers and law. I guess looking at books is the point of the library.

I run some Study Hall, but Hermione is the only one who shows up.

Juli and Nathan have office hours. *chitterchitter!* Um. It appears that Peter's new hobby and/or goal is to sleep with everyone on the island. The squirrels are very excited about this. They've offered rum as an assistance.

Oh, and the Office was quiet. Yay.

Dorms

The Pool is hopping today, which--we have a pool? Sweet. John thinks Andrew is drowning, but he claims he's underwater swimming. With his water wings and pool noodle. Romeo also runs into John who fails as a big brother for never mentioning the pool. Triella is doing recon, but not in a spy way, she tells Andrew. Just a prepared way. Romeo totally flirts her into putting her foot in the water. Romeo then checks up on Andrew.
Amber comes down to the pool, and has a chat with Andrew that turns (like every conversation in Fandom) to weird shit from his hometown. Romeo says hello too, and they establish that it's him, and not his weekend not-him-person. Is there an official term for this yet? Squirrels, work on it. Adah also visits the pool, and kinda just stares at Andrew and nods at Romeo, but doesn't go swimming.

The Fifth Floor Common Room has Ino and cereal, which is cool. Sky visits Adam, and they talk about (what else) the weekend. Oh, and an actual what else, why the puppy is acting weird. Bridge offers Cimorene some computer help, which is nice of him. Mel seems to debate the pros and cons of just being a bum and vegging out. I'm biased, can't comment.

Ronan and Peter break up, which has made the squirrels sad. In news that made the squirrels go 'Aw, Sky' (I think), he talks to Bridge about his job and not meeting people. Aw, Sky. Teddy tries to talk Liir into landing, which also makes squirrels aw.

Brooke works on a design project. Wow, someone working on homework? Psh. Johnny is shirtless and drinking pineapple juice, but stops drinking after Savannah tells him about ethics class. The squirrels assure all concerned parties that the shirt remained off. Bored Annette invites Bored AJ out, though he apparently would rather roll around on the floor naked with the door open. Um. I read that out loud before I read it in my head. I need more rum! *swish* AJ and Troy talk about the weekend, and AJ didn't realize that Troy was the guy he went to breakfast with as a girl. Right. No more AJ news.

Ino is making a birthday project. Ron is hiding out in his room, but Sulley brings back pizza, which I'm sure makes it better. What also makes it better is Hermione coming by to explain the weekend, with a well-rehearsed speech.

Town!

Book Haven has Millie. She gets a visit from Glitch, and they talk about taking care of Liir. Isabel is grumpy and sleepy at Pixie Dust. Gmb--interesting name-- sells some bananas at the banana stand. The Magic Box is open, thanks to Ami.

In Groovy Tunes, Melody is basically covered in kittens. Aw. Nate (less Aw) is working on the laptop at Wellspring Arms. Which, thanks to Brooke, I now know is not a hotel. Thanks for that. Triela stops by to ask Nate a question. Mary is working at the hotel, which does not involve arms. Well, people arms, not the weapon kind.

Yitzhak is selling foods that are powder at Luke's. Lucas gets to open Wonders of the World, yay him. Atlas Gym is open, and Bond and Faith spar. Oh, and there's more crazy kittens at Aly's apartment, though her and Deadpool do not kitten fight. I imagine it's like a pillow fight, but painful.

At Caritas, Robin makes sure there's enough alcohol, which is not a number that exists. Ronan plans on drinking his sorrows away, and Isabel wants the details on the breakup.

Dean Winchester's birthday party is being held tonight. He gets presents for his birthday, as you do. There's some mingling before he gets there. Peter and Sam chat, and Meg and Isabel deal with presents and talk about the weekend. Lots of people are there, including Turtle, Alex, and Isabel.

Dean shows up, and everyone yells surprise! Lana tells Dean what she got him, which is omg not how you do presents. Alex wishes him a happy birthday, as does Peter and Dawn. Meg is bouncy and Dean totally appreciates it. Turtle lets him know about the stock market, and he's totally getting tips for his birthday present. Yay? Isabel hopes he likes her present, which is a theme.

Sam fesses up to getting Dean to the party under false pretenses, aw. And there is of course more mingling, yay. Alec shows up surprising Dean in addition to the original surprise, and they hug. Aw. Meg mingles some more, this time with booze! Which is the right way to do that. Alex also mingles, though I think without booze.

*papers shuffling* Well, I think that's all the news the squirrels have for me. *swish* And it's also almost all of the rum they had for me. So, I think this brings the broadcast to a close. Happy birthday to Dean, and if anyone sees a loose Jello Dragon, just remember that I called dibs on the red ones. Or any alcohol ones, also. Oh, and I hope your pets stop going crazy. Kitten hats are definitely not the next big thing.

Night!
