Fandom Radio [Thursday, January 3rd]

Pam: Hello, hello, hello, Fandom. It's Pam.

Jim: And this is Jim. And tonight is the end of an era. Not a very long era, and an era that only took place on Thursdays, but still.

Pam: I think I may cry. We should carve our initials into the desk or something, to memorialize our place here.

Jim: I've already written my name in crayon on the ceiling.

Pam: Well, that's not very fair.

Jim: I'm sorry that you didn't think to bring a crayon.

Pam: I have markers and pencils and stuff, but you know I can't reach. If only I had someone to write my name up there for me...

Jim: Maybe once we're done broadcasting.

Pam: Our last broadcast. Maybe we can still announce the news sometimes in the dorms. Like just shout new stuff really loudly.

Jim: I'm shooting for the position of town cryer. Or town drunk.

Pam: You are really funny when drunk. You could be the drunk cryer!

Jim: I'd be a weepy drunk, yes.

Pam: Sigh. You punned all over my fun idea.

Jim: For the last time ever on radio. Unless it happens later on in this broadcast. Which it probably will. With that in mind, here we go. The final Jim and Pam broadcast.

School, which is still not in session.

Jim:
Nothing!

Pam: We don't even get to recap classes! We don't get to talk about what people did in class! We don't get to mock any non-existent crushes that anyone has on any teachers! We don't get to talk about who visited whom in office hours! It's like school knew we were ending the era, and ended the era early.

Jim: Once again, school is mean. But there's something that isn't!

Dorms, which are not mean like school.

Jim:
John "Thunderbolt" Sheppard and Jaina went for a run while everyone sane was still sleeping. Or still up from the previous night if they're the kind of person to stay up into the early morning. Mel and Zuko talked about their living situation and laid down some ground rules. Presumably high on that list is not pretending to be anything that they're not for the sole purpose of irritating the other. Over in Beauty's room, Charlie told Beauty that she was leaving town. And then AJ came in and according to the squirrels, he was all adorable and nervous. Pam, if you will?

Pam: Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

Jim: Thank you, Pam. Sokka broke his radio again which I imagine means that he's not listening to this. Despite this, I'm not going to make any jokes at his expense. That would be mean. But if everyone could pretend that I said something hilarious about him just to mess with him a little, that would be great. Annette had a visitor in the form of Billy, who was happy to chill out and warm up in there. And Isabel's websurfing was interrupted by Troy who had woe that needed to be soothed.

Pam: Those sound like terrible song lyrics.

Jim: That's because I'm starting a new band. We plan on being terrible musicians, so it works out.

Pam: Ooh, can I be a groupie? I've always wanted to squeal and leap around and have people sign me.

Jim: Gimme a marker. I'm going to sign your forehead while you're reading the town news.

Pam: No, that's okay. I'm not your groupie yet.

Town, for the last time.

Pam:
Sokka was sad at Turtle and Canary, and asked Apu to confirm his awesomeness. And then Evie came by and there was more sadness. God. It's like they knew about the era ending, too. Lana was reading romance novels at Book Haven, Isabel had hot chocolate at Pixie Dust and Melody contemplated shag carpeting at Groovy Tunes. Ghanima was chilling at the beach, and Ino and Renee dropped by. Mary was working at the hotel, and George Michael was thoughtful at the banana stand before going to bother Adah at the Perk. Evie also came by to talk to Adah and say bye, awww. Giles opened the Magic Box, Rikku opened Wellspring Arms, and Luke's was also open. And then over in Caritas, Robin the frog talked to Robin the bartender about how cold he was. And the clinic was quiet all day. And that's it. That's all. We are done. No more.

Jim: It's been a blast, Fandom. In the words of just about everyone who has ever signed a yearbook of someone they barely knew, stay sweet.

Pam: K.I.T.!

Jim: And we'll see you soon. In person. Not with our creepy disembodied voices speaking to you over electronic devices.

Pam: My voice isn't creepy. Yours might be.

Jim: Somebody doesn't want her name on the ceiling.

Pam: Neither of us has creepy voices!

Jim: I'll settle for that. Okay, Fandom! We're out of here! Have a good night.

Pam: Byyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Fandom!

"I am too listening!" Sokka shouted at the radio.

Just so no one out in the hall would think he was crazy (or maybe so that they would?) he added in a loud voice, "Turtle and Canary has soldering irons!!!"
