Fandom Radio- Sunday, June 5
Morning, all. This is Jaye, with yesterday's news, which most of you probably know because everyone in the world seemed to be at that picnic. But anyway.
In town, Miguel was the only person to go to work. Congrats, Miguel.
And then there was the police vs firefighters picnic, aka the excuse for the squirrels to bring me rum in the morning.
*sound of glass being set down*
I swear I don't have a problem, it just sounds like that on the radio.
So to recap: everyone was there. Summer and Goose had a whole thing about opening up universes and blips and other things I'm not going to understand, Summer also checked in on Liz and assured her she'll feel better after the space spa. I think the "space" part causes stress that would negate the "spa" part, but you do you! Miguel talked to Summer about the lack of Jello shots and her current portal crisis, and she and Stark found a bright side in the shirtlessness. Honestly, that helps everything. New Steve offered Rosa and Sidon food, Amaya and Irene talked about food on sticks and school trips, and Goose told Jon about losing track of Ignis back home. That happens from time to time. Don't worry, sometimes it works out. Gray was more about hanging out with a capybara rather than Graham himself, Summer congratulated Diego on the engagement, and Annie noted how not at work he was.
Diego and Annie also got congrats from New Steve, Will and Buck bet on whether Eddie or New Steve would take the tug of war too seriously, Jon congratulated Annie- the whole town says congratulations, can I skip those particular notes today?- Rey and Annie talked about supporting the departments via shirts, Rey talked with Stark about his competition with Anakin for funsies, Amaya and Irene checked in on Dwight, who's back and not having the best time, whereas Miguel threatened to bring him food, which is way better.
Irene asked Jon which team he's on, Liz met Connor over his dinosaur- I've been here too long because that doesn't sound weird- Scott and Miguel met for real, Stark was impressed about the food at New Steve, more rum please, while New Steve presented Steven with vegan options, and Liz told him about having a breakdown in class.
*sound of pouring*
Thank you. Steven met Steph, told Lana about home, Jon apologized for oversharing last time they talked, Annie's already telling Will to bring his first aid kit to her wedding so that is not an event I want to go to, Will and Stark discussed this week's shenanigan shirts like you don't all secretly love them, and Will told Eddie how much you might need a first aid kit in a place with kraken drills. I think we might need more than that in case of a kraken, just saying. Stark gave Steven the lowdown on who's who of the departments, New Steve and Travis talked food, Liz told Travis about setting Marc on fire like that's not a horrifying note for a girl to read, and Stark and Travis were just glad to be able to do this. I was real glad for the shirtlessness. And so were you, don't lie.
Will got food from New Steve, Annie wanted to meet Diego's new boss, Watts had to try the food on Steve's recommendation, while Steven talked to him about the kraken drill. Stark asked Steph about her radio show, Steph was friendly at Octavia, Lana asked New Steve what this was all about... Hey squirrels, can I get water? Yeah, I know it's not rum. I'm going to sound like a 70-year-old smoker at this rate. Liz told Hannibal about losing touch with Prompto, while he checked in on Dwight, and Steve told me the decor was supposed to be less 7 year old's birthday party, but when there's that much shirtlessness I think you're fine.
Then we have the trooper station booth, where Anakin and Danny talked while Christopher was all about the rickshaw, and at the fire station booth, Buck told Eddie they don't need a lot of little kids to have a bounce house. That would put it over the top to 7 year old's birthday party. Travis and Eddie thought their stuff was better than the troopers, Hannibal came bearing food, and Stark asked Travis if he used to do this kind of thing before.
And then finally was the tug of war, where everyone got all macho and then the rope snapped and everyone ended up in the water, and everyone else was happy. The end.
