Fandom Radio: Friday, April 2nd.
Both: 🎵 ~Troy and Astrid in the mooorn~ing~~ 🎵
Troy: ...and we're back. With both hosts, even, because, shockingly, my cohost here actually did show up.
Astrid: Troy, I told you, I didn't even get your message. The phones were messed up yesterday, see? It says so right here.
Troy: You really didn't get it?
Astrid: I really didn't. I didn't get any messages yesterday at all except something about talking to purses. And if I'd've gotten yours, I'd have gotten pizza with you, Troy.
Troy: So can we get pizza later?
Astrid: Well, we've got class and I have work, but after that, sure.
Troy:...can you get it?
Astrid: ...
*tiny sigh* Sure. I can get it.
Troy: Sweet.
Astrid: Now can we get to...'the part everyone has been waiting for'?
Troy: Huh? Oh, yeah, sure, go ahead.
Astrid:...thanks. Okay, everyone, here's ~The News~, starting of course with the aforementioned note about how the phone were messed up yesterday, so that might explain a little bit. In ~The School~, Advanced Teambuilding worked with morse code, Shop Class worked on potatoes, Guiding the Powerful worked on talking the king out of awful practical jokes, and Ignis worked in his office.
Troy: We've actually got notes for ~The Dorms this morning, because there was a party on the roof, although some people were confused and thought it was supposed to be for makeovers. I'm guessing more phone stuff? Anyway, Lana wanted to know what was wrong with her hair and Tahani tried to expand her options beyond buns or horns...horns? And Eleanor tried to hook her up with those hair extensions she wouldn't shut up about, girl, you have got to drop the hair extensions, they ain't making anybody here look like Beyoncé, okay? Anyway, she tried to get me on the hair extensions, too, and Tahani mentioned something to me about a 'cry for help' and...ohmygod. I think I get the hair extensions now.
Astrid: Well, while Troy marvels over this sudden revelation, I'll continue with the party/makeover session on the roof. Sabine's hair was safe from Eleanor's extensions because we can all agree that Sabine's hair is already a masterpiece that shouldn't be messed with. So much so that Tahani got some pictures of it to send to her sister to make her sister jealous. Sabine and Lana talked about how this was all sparked probably through a terrible mistake, while Tahani disapproved of both Eleanor's extensions and her Schnapps. She was much more approving of Illyana's vodka, which Illyana explained to Lana might be necessary for her first makeover. Eleanor was just glad it was for sharing, and Adora bonded with Illyana over their lack of makeover experience.
Troy: Alexis also said no to Eleanor's extensions because Alexis has taste, and we just kinda hung out together, no big deal.
Astrid: Belle was pretty sure her hair was fine, but Tahani was sure it needed some curlers, maybe a nice up-do, and then Tahani tried to get Adora in a cute dress, and I'm starting to feel really glad that the only message I got yesterday was about talking to purses.
Troy: I'm sorry, but I gotta ask. Is that, like...a euphamism???
Astrid: ...I....
Anyway, in ~The Town~, Silver and Rey worked out the phone issues at the Perk and speculated on exactly where some of their messages may have gone, as well as why Silver's drink was pink. Troy very clearly had bigger issues to deal with than phones at Groovy Tunes...
Troy: Don't remind me! Anyway, Tony and the one Steve actually had pizza yesterday for Tony's birthday, which Steve was kinda running late for, and there was a lot of kissing. Before that, Danny went hunting down the other Steve and they talked about all the weird messages they got. Apparently, if you sent a message yesterday looking for someone's boyfriend, the other Steve probably got it.
Duke was definitely distracted by his phone at Luke's, and it took Lucifer coming in and clarifying some messages for them to realize that, yeah, something's definitely up with the phones and some of this was going to be super awkward later.
Astrid: Over at the park, Travis was trying to send some messages on his phone, which surely went well, and, in the evening, Dr. Lecter hosted a picnic there--no word on if there was pizza--and Beaker showed all dressed up to have some wine and catch up with him, and they were also joined by Lucille.
Troy: The Devil's Nest was kind of hoppin' last night, with a lot of people missing their shirts and free drinks if you fessed up to any weird messages you may have sent Eric. Faye was totally there for the sake...and a lot more, if you know what I mean, although she did talk with Eric about someone possibly eating something radioactive, and he said to listen to radio and see if anyone died, so I am going to officially report that no one has died.
Astrid: That we know about.
Troy: That we know about. Travis wanted to know if videos of puppies is code for something, and the answer is yes, videos of puppies is code for awesome, why didn't I get any videos of puppies?? And then he talked with Eric about overdoses and blender accidents, and they should have really stuck with the puppies.
Astrid: Faye got a chance to explain to Travis about the phones and call dibs on Eric, and Jaskier came in to lose his shirt and make Shirtless Thursday apparently an official thing now. So we might have that to look forward to from now on. Faye, at least, appreciated Jaskier's contribution to the theme and they got to know each other. Jessica, however, was not as appreciative and, quote, 'nope'd right out' of all of it.
She wouldn't have had much luck at Caritas, either, since Spring Break was still in full swing, as Summer's rousing karaoke performance would prove, and Clint showed up to give Kitty moral support for things like finding someone's thong and jello behind the dartboard.
Troy: And that is our final note! Good luck with your phones today, everyone, have a good day, and just say no to hair extensions! This has been Troy Barnes, the disco spider...
Astrid: And Astrid Magnussen, the normal human...
Troy: ...for...
Both: ~The Radio~.
Troy: Nice.
Astrid: See you later, everyone.
