Fandom Radio- Sunday, September 27
Good morning, Fandomites and Fandomite guests. This is Jaye, who doesn't have visitors, and who is perfectly okay with that. Godspeed to the rest of you, you're almost done.
There's a ton of school notes because everyone had office hours, like Kitty, and Barry, who had to justify Shuri being in his class to Okoye. She was easier on Yennefer. Shunsui had his assistant work while he yelled into Amaya and Rosa's offices. Rosa also got a food drop-off from Miguel, Booker cleaned up for office hours which was good since he got Kamilah in there checking up on Tahani's French proficiency. And Anakin got Jiang Yanli, and Prompto and Liam were also checking up on Nina. Okay. Nina. If you're going to have this many people doing that, coordinate them. Make my life easier.
Meanwhile everyone in the damn world was up in Summer's business, like Seivarden, who texted, and the new mayor's assistant, and Barry, and Prompto was glad to see she kept the secret clubhouse, like who has a secret clubhouse in an office? There was also Shunsui's lieutenant- okay- and Liam, and Anakin wanted to know about this ex-husband named Hemorrhage, and no one's allowed to talk to Summer anymore.
Then we have town.
*chittering*
Yes. Just give me the bottle. Thank you.
*pause*
Right. Town. Seivarden was at the flower shop with a sale. Janet was at Turtle and Canary with a sale. Breq was at the music store with new instruments and a sale. Lucille was at the poison store and did not have a sale. Miguel was at Luke's, where there was not a sale, but the staff did look surprised to see him. Diego did not have a sale at the trooper station, but he did have Klaus, and they bonded by smacktalking their siblings.
There was the usual Parents Weekend Family Festival, where people both arrived and/or mingled, like Octavia, who found Mazikeen, and Wei Wuxian found Jiang Yanli and introduced her to Nell. There was food and/or drink, and activities. New Steve tried to teach Grace how to carve a pumpkin, while Wayne took Katy on a hayride.
Elsewhere, Danny and New Steve held family day at the beach, where Chloe brought her kid to the beach and to be hungover, and Danny met Duke's apparently not-so-ex ex. Apparently that didn't coincide with Duke bringing Gloria to meet Danny and Grace, which is probably good for them but less interesting for me. Rey let her friends redecorate her place, and Mayor Jesse had Emily with her at town hall, where Summer brought pastries to meet Emily, and Jesse's science friend Barry got to meet her other science friend.
Beau, Yasha and Jester figured out what happens when you try to get through the whole Skywalker special at Chilly Boulder and the answer is apparently piggyback rides, which is what Liam and Renee found when they got there. Seivarden went to keep Hemorrhage company at the Arms with a movie, and this is the second time I've said that name without commenting on it, which might have something to do with the rum. Technically I'm still not commenting on it except to say how I wasn't commenting on it, so. Duke had Chloe and Trixie over to see his boat.
And finally we're at Caritas, where Kitty found out that they do in fact have alcohol at the bar again. Chloe came in for wine before doing maudlin karaoke. Should someone check on her? Not me, of course. Someone else? Stark got a drink since he could now, and he and Kitty talked about having guests with a toddler, Nina came in to drown her sorrows because she missed an autograph session with Kamilah, who happened to perform that night and then showed up to the bar. Alexis encouraged Nina to talk to Kamilah, which she did, while Alexis told her about attending the same party as her once, technically.
Am I done? Yes? Oh, thank god. I'm keeping the rum.
