Fandom Radio, Thursday, September 3rd

Hey everyone, this is Clint Barton with all the news of yesterday's paintball extravaganza. I hope everyone has recovered and isn't too bruised - some of those things hurt at close enough range, sheesh.

At the school, Anakin and Aeryn held the assembly that started everything off. Tahani was annoyed that even as weird as this place is, the school does assemblies, and Ulysses was sure this would turn out to be weird too. I think he gets the point on that one. Ulysses was also glad to see Illyana and assured her she hadn't missed anything too major. Anakin volunteered a bunch of people to help show how the guns work, and then it turned into an all-out fight. Kitty got Eleanor because she's a badass, and Adora went for Anakin, which shows an amazing about of bravery. Shuri and Barry went after each other, and Adora assured Miles that there was nothing wrong with taking cover and being stealthy. Eleanor also went after Summer, and Sabine and Adora teamed up to try to get Anakin. Anakin and Aeryn made a bet about who could get more hits in and proceeded to both attack Jaye, and Tahani got attacked by Shuri and Arabella for complaining about not wanting to play. Illyana made portals to town for anyone who wanted to escape, which Kitty rightfully pointed out is cheating. Jules also got a shot in at a woeful Tahani, and Alexis got in on the fun with Wei Wuxian. I thought it was fun, at least.

Over at the dorms, Eleanor hid up on the roof to watch the fun spread through town, and Tahani complained about getting paint all over her dress. Eleanor pointed out that she could buy some normal clothes for school events, but that got shot down. Maeve also wanted to watch, and she and Eleanor agreed this place is insane. That's true, but stuff like yesterday is the fun kind of crazy. In town, Amaya held a miraculously paint-free session of Modern Earth Entertainment. She assured Seivarden that there would be no musicals if she could help it, and Seivarden told Shunsui that she would bring her cat next time, because everything is better with pets. Liam also came by and they, very fittingly, watched a movie about gunfighters. Over at the beach, Rey checked on Duke and talked about what they'd both done to get a little self-care time over the weekend, and someone left a bunch of paintball guns at the park. I can't imagine who would do that, but Sabine used one to try--unsuccessfully--to shoot Anakin. It really is brave that so many of you tried. Speaking of brave, Tino tried to defend Caritas from getting painted, and Stark tried to declare JGoB as a neutral safe zone. Aeryn came in anyway, and once Stark had established which version of her she was--ah, Fandom--they ended up shooting at each other anyway.

Beau was using all the paintball fun as a way to practice dodging, because she's also pretty badass. She and Magnus got into a more friendly fight of who could do more cool things while attacking, which is certainly in the spirit of things, and Illyana got a more stealthy shot in since Beau was like, outright asking to be attacked. Beau managed to deflect some of Jules' attacks, which really is pretty cool, and Adora went right into Beau's trap too. At Turtle and Canary, Shunsui just hoped that no one would come in with the paintball guns, and luckily Steve just came by for groceries, because he is boring and probably wouldn't be a good shot with a paintball gun anyway.

*chittering*

It's called friendly teasing, I'm not afraid of him. Mostly. Danny made it abundantly clear that the trooper station was a neutral zone - the inside, at least, because outside the other Steve was using his sniper training to paint people up. It didn't go over well with Octavia which... okay, I can probably understand that. Uh, at the Devil's Nest Shunsui used some of his charm on Octavia, and Duke came by and found out the paint on the outside of the bar was from paintball. It'll wash off if it rains, right? I think?

Finally, back at Caritas, Summer teased Tino about being covered in paint, and Eleanor sang some karaoke to get a free jello shot, because she was considering whether or not to be hungover for Ethics class, and she ended up exploring different kinds of alcohol with Wei Wuxian who assured her he could handle any drink she could. That sounds guaranteed to end poorly. Jesse was glad the paintball was part of a game and not the island being invaded, and Seivarden refused to sing for a drink because she knew Summer would record it. Aeryn and Anakin celebrated a successful game and got caught up with each other, and Stark taunted Aeryn because she hadn't managed to shoot him.

That looks like everything, so I'm glad most of you had fun, and I hope the rest of your week is just as nice, though maybe less eventful.
