Fandom Radio, Friday, October 26

Good evening Fandom! Welcome to the news.

School

Today In Interdisciplinary studies, Squall ate cocktail weenies and taught the class how to defend themselves from an alien invasion by watching a movie and eating snacks.

Over in Love Smart, Barney gave everyone a lesson on how to survive a cocktail party. Students paired up. Annette and Andrew held hands because... well It's only a wine party guys. I mean come on. "Light chatter, Pinot and cheese! Oh My!" Then Jim and Hoshi talked about their bantering skills. The class then navigated the maze of creepy party people. No one escaped unscathed. Willow thought someone name Sandy was really Wesley. Either way it's a pretty wussy name so it really shouldn't matter. Karal escaped by going to look for cheese. Jim and Hoshi meet Bob Barker and Jim ends up throwing cheese at Bob. No word on whether Bob lectured Jim and Hoshi about having their pets spayed or neutered. Annette is apparently lactose intolerant. Molly is able to ditch Sandy but apparently is nice to Bob. Sadly Molly was not aware that Bob is no longer a part of "The Price is Right" and that her sucking up to Bob was not going to get her into the showcase showdown.

In Combined Mathematics, JP gave everyone a midterm exam. Probably with lots of story problems that look something like the real world but still doesn't help us when it comes to filling out an income tax form. Charlie didn't study for the test but Rodney calmed her nerves.

And finally in Debate, Chuck taught everyone to cover their ass. Which everyone did. Hopefully not in spandex. Turtle did not seem to accept Chuck's excuse for missing class the other week. While making excuses to each other Jeff snapped at Jim, who did not snap back but gave him advice. Willow and Naminé also make excuses

Instead of an assembly we had a Health Fair which had booths on playing doctor complete with bandages, thermometers, stethoscopes and blood pressure cuffs. There were also booths on Cold and Flu, Body Fat, nutrition, sexual health, animal health and petting zoo.

Karal opened the library. Gavin stopped by early in the morning to talk about... Well it doesn't say what they talked about. So I guess they talked about Karal's "My Little Pony" collection. He has a complete set. It's truly amazing.. Thursday was in her office and Adah was hiding.

Study Hall featured Aly of the Swoop who provided Coffee, doughnuts and orange juice. Mean while John Winchester held his office hours and his son Dean came by to drop off his cat before going on a roadtrip.

And in other news, Rikku, came ready for battle at lunch and everyone in the office sat around in their underwear.

Dorms

Let's see... Chris got a phone call from a sibling who is not his brother and then a visit from his roommate. Karal apparently spent the morning thinking and talking to himself before making a phone call and going to take care of his horse. AJ painted a mural in room 218. Beauty stopped by to offer AJ food. Possibly so she could punch him in the face. (More on that later)

While that was going on, I guess Adah braved the stairs to go visit River.

In the evening Dean and Sam got prepared for a very odd road trip. Either that or they really like a lot of salt on their food and the restaurants don't have enough in those little packets.

Hot Mountie had a morning cup of coffee and breakfast with none other the sparkly Robin. Not the frog.

And in the evening the third floor common room was filled with food, a holiday that I'm convinced is just a keysmash and gives Rikku and excuse to punch people. Like me. John Sheppard? Got punched in the head by Sokka. Of course Rikku warned Valentine and Sokka seemed to know about the whole tradition already but eventually Rikku and Sokka just ate and beat the crap out of each other. Hoshi on the other hand seemed to think the keysmash was an actual language and Ino wanted to know how many people Rikku had hit.

Back in 528, Molly and Karal... well it doesn't say what they talked about. So... They compared their "My Little Pony" collections. All of Molly's horses? They have hats.

Town

Sokka manned the post office today where there was a bowl of candy, ripe for the plundering.

Chad opened Groovy tunes and spent some time with that scary looking cat of his. Yitzhak "smirked" as he opened Luke's Diner. Beauty opened up Book Haven. Leo open up the photo hut while Robin who doesn't sparkle shopped for a costume.

Nate opened Wellspring Arms and got a visit from Aly.River opened the other Arms and did not have a visit from Aly. Gabriel opened the church and got a cowbell.

...That's just too awesome for words.

The perk was open and Lt. Kerrigan was there. Karal stopped by for a cup of joe as did Ino. Later in the afternoon a soaked Izzy enjoyed a giant mocha.

Phale opened the Devil's Nest and served a lot of flaming drinks. Which makes sense because there's the devil and oh never mind...

And over at Caritas Birthday Boy Big Jim Halpert celebrated his 1X in the company of friends. Of course there were presents, mingling, cake, people yelling surprise and... more mingling. What happened during said mingling? Well Gavin flashed Luke and decided with Karal that there should be no singing. Pam met Karal for the first time but seems to know about how well he sings. Molly and John Sheppard talked about being a bodyguard and then Karal talked to Molly about needing to talk later. Jim then pointed out that his birthday was last week though Pam dismissed it all together because it was parents weekend. John Sheppard brought up the fact that Jim was lucky to survive to 17 based on his radio hosting abilities. Gavin then called him old while Sokka gave him birthday wishes even though it was last week. Elsewhere in the bar Mary enjoyed a club soda with lime.

And... that's it for me. This is Jamie Madrox for WTFH saying... I dunno. Just pretend I said something clever.
