Fandom Radio, Monday, April 1st

Hey! The name's Spark — the leader of Team Instinct. A bunch of little Pachirisu-looking buddies just dragged me here and shoved these notes at me, and--

*CHITTER*

-- Hey, how was I supposed to know you weren't Pokémon? You could have been a whole new species! And I apologized to your Leroy.

*CHITTER!!*

Well, I'm here now, and to make it up to these little guys, I'm gonna read these notes they handed to me! It's what my instincts are telling me is right!

First thing's first, we start at the library, where Lana was tidying the place after chasing some rumpled man and his cat away! Cat? That is cat, right, not Delcatty?

*Chitter.*

Okay! With a cat! From there we move on to the dorms, where Astrid was doing training in the salle! Great job, Astrid! Regular training is how you keep your Pokémon fighting fit!

*Chitter*

... The squirrels inform me she had no Pokémon. But I maintain that training is still important for trainers, too!

From there we move on to the park, where Ratatoskr had these little guys distressed by giving blue, transparent, bad-mouthed squirrels a bad name. Are you sure that one wasn't a Pachirisu? Or maybe an Emolga? ... Okay, okay, it's a squirrel that sounds a lot like it could be a Pokémon, I'm just saying. Anyway, Sidon shot arrows at it.

...

YOU DON'T SHOOT ARROWS AT POKÉMON WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?? You battle them against one another! That's what makes them strong! WHAT YOU ARE DOING KILLS THEM.

... Which apparently he didn't manage, because Ratatoskr was throwing rocks at Master Kiwiiks later on, too. Okay. Good. I mean, rude, someone should catch that little guy and teach him some manners. But still good.

At the hotel and beyond, Fenris was having a busy day, sleeping on the floor, fishing for minnows - are those anything like Magi--

*CHITTER*

--Okay, okay, no Pokémon here. I getcha. Anyway, Fenris was fishing, and then got out of a conversation by pretending he needed to pee.

You know, maybe I'll try that sometime. In the streets, Bike Rider type trainer Mumen Rider was on patrol! And all of that hard work paid off as Amélie passed him a bottle of water! How refreshing, but I bet lemonade would have been way more satisfying. Jono was playing guitar at the Groovy Tunes, and I was at the Demon Marcus trying trendy hats onto my Pikachu, where I got to introduce Pikachu and Raichu to some of the locals, including Hernando and Jenny! But she didn't look like a police officer, which is weird for a Jenny. Maybe she was off-duty?

Sonia was at the Perk in a little red dress - a real Beauty, no doubt! - and had chats with Kitty and Seivarden about how she's here to visit her sister, Rosa, and then met Lucas Lee, movie star! Wow, a real, live movie star? Did he show you how Houndoom or his Weavile? I hear they're forces to be reckoned with!

Caleb and his cat-who-is-not-a-Pokémon ducked into Luke's to get out of the rain, and were put to work, which I'm sure they appreciated when Summer came in threatening to break the place to the ground for pancakes and milkshakes. I'm... pretty sure coins are way more effective for getting that sort of thing, actually. She and Jack did some yelling back and forth over murdering cat--WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE FIRST ARROWS AND NOW CAT MURDER.

*Chittering!*

AaaaAAAAAAAAAH.

*Acorn sounds*

... I'm fine. Okay. Hey, look, a nice note! Amélie stopped by and left an umbrella and mittens for Caleb! More of that, people, and less trying to kill animals! Cool, thanks! Stephanie and Caleb talked a little bit about finding themselves here unexpectedly - hey, me too! - and Jack explained about the maaagic of the iiiiiisland to Caleb. I don't know if that's how she said it, but it kind of needs to be read that way, don't you think? She talked to Stephanie too, about a little harmless mass-kidnapping. Are... are you sure you're using those words right? Uh. Anyway, Liam showed up and Jack offered him breakfast before Caleb arranged for the kitchen to make a fruit salad for him.

Later in the evening, Batgirl - Not Zubat or Golbat or Crobatgirl - was out doing patrols on the rooftops. No word on if she found any really interesting Pokémon out there, but always remember, Trainers, it's important to look for Pokémon in safe places, like parks! No Pokémon is worth venturing up onto rooftops or into streets or inclement weather, like mild breezes or light drizzles.

*Chittering*

Well, yeah. Safety first.

At the bar - also often a surprisingly good place for catching Pokémon - Atton was looking... not so great. But he had grape juice, and that always makes people feel better, right? Jenny stopped in and immediately called Atton 'cutie,' so they're probably friends? Maybe she's his big sister or something. Sonia brought her little red dress to the bar looking for free drinks, but Atton saw through that attempt right away, and Jack showed up to warn him about the island being... weird? A mass-kidnapper? Anyway, her class is cancelled today because of April Fool's - ha, last year they swapped out all of the image entries in my Pokédex with ancient pixel art - so enjoy that day off, students!

And I think that's all the notes, so I'm going to go and spend some time with my Pokémon! Stay safe, be good to one another, and remember, you never lose when you trust your instincts!
