Fandom Radio, Sunday, June 24th

How is there still so much glitter everywhere? I'm going to look like I murdered a rainbow by the time I'm done here.

*cough* So, hi everyone, this is Clint with all your Pride parade news along with some other stuff. In fact, let's start with the other stuff. Seivarden got to Covent Garden Flowers and discovered that the flowers were all rainbow colored and singing. That's scary and sweet at the same time, well done. At Dite's Decadent Delights, Reno had flags and rainbow jewelry and smut for sale, oh my. Amaya had Turtle and Canary open if any parade folks needed supplies, and Luke's Diner had plenty of rainbow-themed specials, along with rainbow coffee which Miguel was brave enough to try.

Now, onto the parade! Everyone got together on the causeway to start. Jono and Raven talked about not only having to represent mutants, but mutants of their sexuality. Hardison teased Eliot about sneaking glitter into his hair products to keep the spirit of Pride alive, and Parker promised to make sure future Fandom weirdness didn't damage their relationship. Eventually, everyone got to marching, and Eliot, Hardison, and Parker tried to figure out what they could get for next year to throw along the parade route, like beads or candy.

Along the parade route, Sparkle was glad to see Atton alive and relatively in one piece after his latest adventure at home, and Rosa and Cristina were relatively peaceful to one another as they talked about Rosa's dog and the years she spent in medical school. Rosa also got to see Karolina in all her glowy glory, which seems especially appropriate this weekend. Tip and Norman had a long talk about figuring out their own sexuality categories, and Tip explained the celebration to a confused Uma, who was mostly confused that people try to police who other people sleep with. If only we all came from that universe, huh? Sidon also didn't quite understand the reasoning behind the parade until Breq explained it to him, but he still enjoyed himself. Kathy had water bottles for the marchers, and Eliot tried to convince her to come march, but respected her decision to stay and take pictures and cheer them all on instead. Parker was excited that Kathy had stickers, and they talked about some of the sexualities on the spectrum that Pride represents, and Dante also tried to convince Kathy to come march, but she insisted she'd rather watch him. That's still not less awkward now that none of you are students.

After the parade, everyone took themselves and their glitter to the park. Sparkle got a surprise visit from Leto, and Breq got to play with Kanan's dog as she talked to him about the parade. Summer also took some time to play with Stance, and I'm making a lot of mental notes about next year and my own dogs. Hardison and Tony talked about engineering a float for next year--did anyone else just get a cold chill of fear? We can't let the smart people talk about glitter cannons, you guys, they could actually figure out how to do it. Sparkle congratulated Tony on getting Steve to the celebration, and whoever got Steve to go barely dressed deserves a Medal of Honor, I'm just saying. Tony gave Steve a shirt like a terrible fun-ruiner, and Hardison encouraged Steve to use the internet to verify what Pride is really like, which is fine because Steve is old and will never figure out how to do that.

That looks like all the notes, so I'm going to get out of here before my lungs are entirely coated in glitter. Have a good rest of the weekend, everyone!
