I am not late. I'm right on time. I'm just not as early as usual. There was frost in my window telling me to start a snowball fight, and I had to let it down gently before I could come in today. But if you have notes, you're welcome to pass them over now. I can't imagine people were doing much, being all snowed in.

... Okay, that's more notes than usual. Did you guys get snowed in, too? No, don't answer that. Just let me read those out so that I can head home and take my dog for a walk. He'll love this. We'll start with... the dorms. Which is fair, I guess. People live there and I can't imagine too many people were crazy enough to be outside in that. Sidon was cold and miserable in the fourth floor common room eating frozen fish sticks like potato chips when Uma showed up. Sidon shared his fish sticks, and they talked about Uma's mother's restaurant, which apparently wasn't so great. Not everybody is really the restaurant sort, I suppose. Summer had the right idea, staying in yesterday instead of making her way to the diner. Which was a good choice, Summer. There was no way in hell I was leaving the Ghost for anything that took longer than letting Stance do his business in the junkyard. The ship doesn't take her power from the island's grid, after all.
We had heat. And power. A little bit of snow is nothing, though I guess someone's going to have to get out there and clear her off before Hera flies her again...
Anyway. Town. Where not everybody was enough to have a light freighter to camp out in. Some people, like Peter, had magic instead. He extended an invite to anybody in the MCA who needed somewhere to warm up that his place was open, and he had light. Seivarden mostly just camped out with her cat and tea.
At his place on Chimera Court, Miguel was making frittatas for breakfast in the fireplace. Enough for everyone there, which included Mitsutada, who decided to cook a whole tomato in the fire. Nathan, who pointed out that there was plenty of bread left over from the night before, as well. Verity informed Liam that he'd be her favorite if he fixed her a coffee, and Liam was thankful that he lived with a bunch of poeple who knew how to cook with fire. Not a bad life skill to have, honestly.
Amaya was blaming the weather on a wizard while she tried to use her crumbler to clear a path from her place on Serendipity to the T&C. Maybe she'll have some better luck with that today, now that the storm's eased off. And outside the MHA, Rosa was taking her puppy for a walk when they both wound up buried in a snowdrift. Did she jump in?

Yes, I meant the dog. I don't know Rosa well, but I doubt she's the type. Anyway, it looks like Zack and his dog came to the rescue, and there was talk about puppy health and polar bear plunges before Zack continued on his way.
And that looks like all the notes the squirrels were willing to brave the weather for, so I'm gonna head back out there and check out the state of the island in the wake of that storm. Take care, Fandom. Stay warm. Charge up those phones just in case we get more of this. Maybe enjoy watching the frost on the windows for a while.
