Fandom Radio, Thursday, July 23rd

Whoa, hey, this is a serious pile of notes! A'ight, a'ight, glad to see y'all are takin' my suggestion about enjoyin' the rest of your summer seriously. Glad I can be a mentor an' a inspiration to y'all from my spot here on Early Mornin' Radio.

As usual, we're startin' with School, where Western History had students wear old clothes an' meet in the art room so they can experiment with papermakin'. While the students work, Jones explains a bit about important inventions an' contributions from Asia over the centuries. If that sounds like too much academics for you, don't worry. In a complete 180, we have Conspiracy Theories discussin' whether the moon landin' was faked. Luckily, Agent Washington explained how stupid that was, though then he went on to say that the Mars landin' was faked. I can't even with you right now. There was a discussion, an' then Face gave a presentation--complete with slides!--about...himself. Yeah, I'm readin' that correctly, he gave a conspiracy theory presentation about himself. A'ight then. Movin' right on, World Mythology covered West African myths with Anansi, who Lady Ghanima says is her favorite. That's pretty dope, Lady G.

...From the look on the squirrels' faces, I should probably never call her that again. So I'll just say that there was a discussion about Anansi an' hey, look, office hours! Eliot spent his office hours puttin' a screen in the vents to keep the gremlins away an' now the squirrels are laughin'. I'm sure that's a good sign. His day got so much brighter when I came to visit, bringin' a very thoughtful present, I'll have you know, an' impressin' Eliot by my ability to create a computer virus on my cellphone. Which, uhh, you shouldn't do, kids, unless you have a really good reason, like your partner's face bein' all over Youtube will probably get you kidnapped an' dragged to Myanmar. Hypothetically. Agent Washington also showed up to visit, where they discuss paranoia, conspiracy theories, an' the Kennedy Assassination, which, yeah, sounds like your typical Eliot conversation.

Dorms were pretty quiet again, with only Ringo doin' anythin' note-worthy today. She put up warnin' signs cause she was practicin' her...ATs?...in the hall. Alluka surprises Ringo with a hug an' wants to know what's up, an' so Ringo tells her to go get her ATs so they can...AT...together? I have no idea if that's a verb, yo, but I'm goin' with it. Ada isn't sure what all the noise is about, but Ringo explains her ATs to her an' I wish I'd gotten to listen to that explanation, cause I still don't know.

Oh, hey, it looks like the kids were quiet an' the adults were havin' all the fun! Turns out that Hannibal an' Jono were hostin' a birthday party. Yo, many happy returns, man! That's cool to hear. Before the party, they played pool an' talked about mushy peas, which I hope is some kind of weird game cause-- *Squirrel whispering* --Nope, it sounds like they're talkin' about real food. A'ight then. Mushy peas, good times. People arrive, with Hannibal checkin' in to make sure Jono was doin' okay, an' Alluka offerin' up Ringo's hair-braidin' services if Jono wanted them. Hannibal also checks in with Alluka, who tells him that she ain't never been to a birthday party before. Well ain't that a shame. Glad you been to one now. Didi shows up an' chats with Jono about what he's doin' with his old apartment an' the boards, and she an' Hannibal talk about all the places he's taken the students for his class. Constantine shows up to make fun of Jono for still celebratin' his birthday, but when Didi comes over to say hello, Constantine just tells her that whatever her brother wants, the answer is no. That sounds like there's a story there. Natalie showed up, debutin' a new look that Jono complimented her on, an' Hannibal made sure to say hello. An' no birthday party would be complete without presents, so there was a table for 'em to go.

Elsewhere in Town, Bellamy wakes up in the Preserve an' pulls a gun on a...deer. That sounds...interestin'. Luckily for both of them, he didn't do that again when Clarke showed up, but apparently they know each other because there are hugs an' explanations an' whatnot. I'm hopin' she included the part where the deer around here aren't dangerous...? Elsewhere, Kitty's at The Perk, waitin' on a portal. Mike popped in cause he heard about her engagement an' wanted to say 'Congratulations.' Which, hey, yo, fair. Congrats, Kitty an' Clint! I'm happy for you both! Remind me to drop into Caritas one night to toast you proper, Kitty.

Anyway, that's it for the news. Just sayin', students, it sounds like the adults are havin' way more fun than you this summer. Just somethin' to keep in mind as summer slips away. You're gonna be regrettin' it come fall, when classes start in earnest! I'm out with one more happy birthday to Jono, an' congratulations to Kitty!
